00:00I'm Paul Rasmussen. The father of a missing Westmoreland County girl is asking for help in
00:04locating her. 17-year-old Samantha Missick went missing from her Mount Pleasant home in late July
00:10and was recently spotted in Lancaster County. State police say Samantha was picked up by a man
00:16driving a green Subaru Outback. Later, she was dropped off in Lancaster where she was seen as
00:21recently as August 1st. Her father says Samantha struggles with mental health issues and is
00:27autistic. They're asking anyone with information about her to call state police at the barracks in
00:32Greensburg. New this hour, Pennsylvania is launching a new program to help local police solve violent
00:38crimes with millions in new funding. NewsRadio KDKA's Tamara Rush has the details in the newsroom.
00:44Lieutenant Governor Austin Davis announced the new victim program Tuesday aimed at helping local
00:49police solve violent crimes. This stands for violent incident clearance and technological investigative
00:55methods. And we're funding this program, this new program with two and a half million dollars for
01:02grants to local law enforcement with the intention of helping them solve homicides and other violent
01:07crimes. It's my hope that these grants will help local police go back and solve those cold cases
01:14where killers have for far too long eluded accountability. Davis says the initiative will be
01:20distributed through the Pennsylvania Commission on Crime and Delinquency. In the newsroom,
01:25Tamara Rush News Radio, KDKA. A potential security threat against President Trump was discovered Sunday

01:42Taley. They say they found hollow point ammunition in his pants pocket and a loaded pistol in his vehicle.
01:48Also saying a search of his home in Downey, California revealed an illegally modified AR-style
01:53rifle, body armor, radio signal devices, and multiple notebooks containing what officials
01:58described as concerning statements. Plainclothes agents spotted that man Sunday at Trump National
02:03Golf Club in Rancho Palos Verdes. They say that he was walking the property, taking photos and videos,
02:09and apparently monitoring security preparations two days before the president's visit.

02:48There was a musical message during Tuesday's practice from Mike McCarthy for the Steelers.
02:52Here's NewsRadio KDKA's Jeff Hathorne.
02:55Players were going through their drills with background music playing.
02:58All of a sudden, the Monday night football theme started blaring.
03:02We were so locked in on our Indy, and we heard the music, and we were just like, huh?
03:07We're like, oh, yeah, let's go. You know, it's just like, it's just like, it is like a pop quiz,
03:12but it's fun.
03:13Players immediately have to head for five plays near the goal line, 11-on-11.
03:17It's trying to prepare them for the unexpected during a game.
