00:00Paul Rasmussen. Later this morning, Pittsburgh Mayor Cory O'Connor and other city officials are
00:05announcing the start of the automated red light enforcement program at two intersections.
00:10News Radio KDKA's Tamira Rush has more from the newsroom. That's right, Paul. The city will launch
00:14automated red light enforcement at North Dallas Avenue and Penn Avenue and Sawmill Run Boulevard
00:20and Woodruff Street. The system uses cameras and sensors to detect and record vehicles that enter
00:25the intersection after the light turns red. Signs will alert drivers they're entering an
00:30enforcement zone. Today starts a 60-day warning period with vehicle owners receiving a warning
00:36notice in the mail. After that, citations will be issued for violations. Four more intersections
00:41will have cameras soon with plans for 30 systems by 2029. City officials will announce more details
00:48at 10 a.m. In the newsroom, Tamira Rush News Radio, KDKA. President Donald Trump spoke to reporters last
00:54night about boarding and then leaving Air Force One after last month's NATO summit in Turkey.
00:59I go by Secret Service and the military. They wanted me to go on a different flight, a different plane,
01:06equal safety, but they wanted me to do it, so I do it. I do what they say. The president
01:11was
01:12reportedly transferred to another military jet in a catering truck. I guess there was a threat out
01:17there. I didn't really ask too much about it. I get a lot of threats. The New York Times reporting
01:22U.S. intelligence picked up a specific threat of an attack on Air Force One. Someone near the NATO
01:27summit was reportedly spotted with a shoulder-fired missile. Pushback from parents at a Tuesday
01:33meeting about consolidating the school districts in Duquesne and McKeesport. The overall sentiment from
01:38Duquesne residents is it's a bad idea, with people expressing concerns about things like
01:43transportation and class size. The State Department of Education has finished the first phase of a
01:48feasibility study on consolidation. Since 2000, the Duquesne district has been in financial turmoil.
01:55They've lost the senior and junior high schools, and today the district has one K-8 school with about
02:00450 students. Do gamblers make bad decisions when they're losing money? Well, that is the focus of
02:07research at West Virginia University, where professors have access to online gaming data.
02:13Researcher Brad Humphrey says problem gamblers can set common sense aside and increase their
02:18wages to recover their losses, something economists say is irrational. There's no reason to believe
02:22that you can actually get back to make up your loss on a previous bet, but people certainly behave
02:30as if they think they can. Humphreys is following the data to see if there's anything online casinos
02:35can do to stop a gambler from making an irrational bet. KDKA Sports' Paul Skeens left after five innings
02:41and 65 pitches in a 2-0 loss to the Marlins last night. The Bucs have lost six of the
02:46last seven games.
02:47At Steelers training camp, a warning from Aaron Rodgers to any teammates who try to pull something.
02:54Here's KDKA Radio's Jeff Hathorne. A known prankster, Steelers quarterback Aaron Rodgers has a warning to
03:00all who might look to do it back to him. People got to be careful, you know, because I do
03:04have
03:04unlimited resources to spend on pranks. So we can do pranks back and forth, but just know that
03:10whatever you do to me, I'm going to do something worse back to you. Mason Rudolph did with a gift
03:15of art for Christmas, an undisclosed item. Yeah, I love it. Wife, not as crazy about it.
03:22So I'm about to find a special place for that. With the Steelers in La Trobe, Jeff Hathorne,
