00:11Dozens of polling places in Allegheny County have moved since the primary.
00:15The latest change is the Westinghouse Park building in Point Breeze.
00:19A structural issue is the reason officials moved the polling place to the Carnegie Library's Homewood branch on Hamilton Avenue.
00:26The county is urging residents to check the location where they vote, at the Pennsylvania Department of State webpage, and
00:33signs will be posted referring voters to new locations.
00:37Also, voters in Allegheny County are weighing a ballot question today that could change limitations on county council members.
00:44NewsRadio KDKA's Tamara Rush has details.
00:47All 15 Allegheny County Council members currently share just three staff members.
00:51The ballot question asks whether to lift restrictions in the county's Home Rule Charter.
00:55A majority yes vote would allow council members to hire personal staff, open district offices, and receive benefits such as
01:02health and life insurance, pensions, and personal vehicles.
01:05A majority no vote would keep the current restrictions in place.
01:08A yes vote, however, would not automatically provide taxpayer funding for those changes.
01:12That would require separate approval.
