00:36Now, what you can do here is, if you have worked at a company, any company, basically, any place of
00:48employment, you can leave a review about your experience there.
00:53And this also goes for medical practices, hospitals, doctors' offices, etc.
00:58I'll share a trick also about using the Indeed website.
01:03Once you type in the business or employer that you want to see the reviews on, they will display several.
01:16And then, after like six or seven reviews, you'll see that there may be hundreds or thousands of other reviews
01:26that you can't read because the body of the text has been blurred out.
01:35They want you to leave your review as an employee of the company to get access to read the other
01:43reviews.
01:43Well, there is a way around this, and I'll tell you how to do this.
01:47What you do is, what you do is, the headlines to the reviews, you can read those.
01:56And you right-click your mouse button over the headline, open that as a new page or a new tab
02:06in your web browser, and you can read that review.
02:10And yeah, it's a bit tedious, but using this technique, you can read every single review that's left on the
02:20Indeed website without having to enter in any type of information.
02:25Okay, we go to Indeed and start typing in some of the names of these medical practices and hospitals, etc.,
02:37and you will very quickly see it's not just me as a patient relating these negative experiences.
02:46The actual people who work for these schools also have some stories to tell, and they can do so here
02:55more or less anonymously.
03:00If you're thinking about going to a medical practice in Birmingham, Alabama, go to Indeed and read the experiences of
03:10people who have worked in these places first.
03:13And some of these reviews are jaw-dropping.
03:18Alright, so as a patient, I have been to Chrysalis Center.
03:23I went to two locations, a doctor and a nurse in 2019.
03:29Alright, so what have we got up here? Let's look around.
03:34Alright, this review, one star medical assistant, former employee, Chalkville, Alabama.
03:41Yes, I went to the Chalkville, Old Springville Road of Birmingham, Alabama, Christ Health Center location.
03:51This used to be an Ascension St. Vincent's Hospital facility.
04:01So this review, this is from January 17, 2020.
04:07And I'll read some of the review.
04:09It's very disappointing that the true intention of this organization is lost.
04:15A change in management or management training may be the biggest improvement for this organization.
04:20Religious beliefs aside, employees are often mistreated.
04:24Our managers will flat out lie to you, own you, to maintain their positions and integrity.
04:35There are constant changes in employees at the Chalkville location.
04:40And most of the times, it's not because people are advancing in their careers.
04:44Consider working for this organization if you are able to put the face of Christianity on
04:51in order to get patients in the door and make an impression on the public.
04:55So, here's another review.
04:58Management is the downfall.

05:09So, quoting here,
05:11Christ Health Chalkville is one of the worst places that I have ever worked.
05:16This place is filled with a bunch of racist hypocrites.
05:19Both managers tell you what they think you want to hear and will lie boldly to your face.
05:26You are overworked with little pay.
05:28Don't ever think that you will get a raise or a bonus because it's all a lie.
05:32The residents are great, but are afraid to actually speak up because they know they will be on the chopping
05:39block.
05:41I was referred to Christ Health Center, the Chalkville location,
05:47after going to the emergency department at Ascension St. Vincent's East Hospital, Birmingham, Alabama.
05:55In the emergency department visit, I was told I had no injuries.
06:00I got my records and pictures later.
06:02I'll put them up here.
06:04The injury that I actually had should have been enough to have me hospitalized.
06:10Probably rushed into emergency surgery.
06:13That's what I think should have happened.
06:16I complained of neck pain.
06:19Again, they said there were no injuries present.
06:22In the pictures, there's evidence of broken bone in the underside of my skull.
06:27Well, I had broken the basilar area of my skull, and I could have very easily died from this injury.
06:38Misdiagnosed.
06:40And referred to Christ Health Center.
06:43And so this shows one of the things that's going on in this place.
06:46If you've got a broken skull that shows up in x-rays or CT scans or MRIs,
06:53you don't need to be sent to a place like Christ Health Center.
06:57This is a community clinic.
06:59The injury that I had, they should have called a helicopter or something
07:04and flew me to Atlanta, Georgia, or Nashville, Tennessee, a bigger city
07:09with more experienced doctors and hospitals than we have in Birmingham, Alabama.
07:13So one of the things that I observed going on at Christ Health Center,
07:20indigent patients are sent there regardless of their medical condition.
07:28When I say indigent, what I'm referring to is the status that I had.
07:36I didn't have insurance.
07:37I didn't have a source of income at the time.
07:41I didn't have a job at the time.
07:44And so when I arrived at Christ Health Center, I was self-pay.
07:48I saw a doctor at the one location, a nurse at the other.
07:51I was charged $100 for each visit.
07:55Okay.
07:56So this shows another thing that's going on.
07:58They're overcharging patients.
07:59Because if you see a nurse practitioner and you see a doctor,
08:06there's a gulf between these levels of medical discipline and experience.
08:13Okay.
08:14But at Christ Health Center, they charge you $100 to see a nurse practitioner,
08:18$100 to see a doctor.
08:20What's wrong with this picture?
08:21All right.
08:23The other problem with Christ Health Center.
08:28I observed that the staff in this location, the Chalkville,
08:36and the other location up closer to Birmingham,
08:40this is near East Lake,
08:43the staff's all fresh,
08:46fresh out of college, community college, high school, et cetera.
08:51They don't have experience to speak of.
08:54And what I observed was the staff here,
08:59they were being trained in the way that Ascension St. Vincent's Hospital does business.
09:05Because apparently this is a thing that's not really talked about,
09:10but I'll give you some inside info here.
09:15Christ Health Center, which was affiliated with Ascension St. Vincent's,
09:22they still have a relationship with them.
09:25And the employees and the doctors, the nurses,
09:29who can play ball and do business the wrong way like Ascension likes done,
09:35they get promoted into the Ascension hospitals.
09:39Yeah, I've done hours of video on Christ Health Center.

09:47They would not give me a referral for the MRI that I needed immediately.
09:53They wanted to do a fishing expedition of many costly tests, labs, exams, et cetera.
10:02And I told them I didn't have the money to pay for that, and I walked out.
10:06I was not treated as a human being at the Chalkville location.
10:12I saw Dr. Terry Daniel Smith, MD.
10:18He now goes by the name T. Daniel Smith.
10:20He's been promoted, and he works for Andrews Sports Medicine,
10:24affiliated with Ascension St. Vincent's Hospital in Birmingham, Alabama now.
10:30Now, this doctor referred me and charged me for labs that were not performed on me,
10:39and I'll put up the records that prove this.
10:42And that's not ethical or responsible behavior for any doctor to be engaged in, okay?
10:51You're working in a clinic where you're seeing people who don't have money
10:55and are off the street, basically, indigents.
11:00Charging them for tests that may not have money to pay for or without their consent,
11:07this is a big no-no.
