A week following a cyberattack on health provider Ascension (19 states / 140 hospitals, 160000+ associates & 36000+ affiliated providers, WTMJ television channel 4 out of Milwaukee, Wisconsin reports in an interview with a patient that Ascension doctors are on vacation at the same time chaos is being reported in daily operations resulting from the attack. According to their interview Ascension is also giving patients conflicting information, leading to major confusion.

Health provider Ascension (19 states / 140 hospitals) was hit by a cyberattack in early May, 2024. This created disruption in computer records systems and led to widespread service disruption. These types of incidents are not surprising after my own experience dealing with their medical services at St. Vincents East Hospital in Birmingham, AL.
I believe Ascension creates many enemies and unnecessary risk daily, through its corrupt business practices where profits and reputations come before patient care. Ascension has drawn out critics and the attention of investigation probes in the U.S. government and was called out recently by Senator Tammy Baldwin.

My own experience going to an Ascension ER in Birmingham, AL. in 2018-'19. I found that when my disposition was qualified as "self pay" (no insurance or stated source of income) I did not receive adequate medical treatment and was told no injuries appeared in X-Rays and CT that show I had broken my skull (an injury I almost died from - see images in video). Furthermore, you can hear in recorded phone calls in my other videos the lengths other professional doctors will go to support this fallacy. Millionaires who went to college for 10 years to do their jobs risked their professional reputations versus correcting mistakes.

A series of talking points underpinning the modus operandi of Ascension's patient dumping procedures in these facilities may be highlighted in this latest case.

I encountered far larger issues of medical fraud and corruption in my dealings with medical staff and facilities around the Birmingham, Alabama area in recent years. I believe much of the fortunes and millions / billions of dollars in profit enjoyed by Ascension and their associates are underpinned by a mountain of wrongfully treated patients who suffered at the hands of this medical provider's care. I almost did not survive multiple misdiagnoses I encountered going into their ER and attempts to have Ascension account and correct it errors were met with denials and excuses as to their responsibility. I highlight many of these, even recording phone exchanges in other videos on my Youtube Channel.

I replay My October. 13th, 2021 phone call to Ascension CEO Joseph Impicciche who's hospital oversight network includes Ascension Saint Vincent’s East Hospital in Birmingham, Alabama.

00:00Alright, as always you can go to YouTube channel My Medical Nightmare and see 40 plus hours video on everything
00:09that happened to me.
00:10Alright, this was reported by WTMJ4 Television Channel 4 out of Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
00:18They interviewed a patient of the hospital who claims her doctor has gone on vacation.
00:24One week following a cyber attack against U.S. health provider Ascension, active in 19 states, 140 hospitals, 160,000
00:38associates, 36,000 affiliated providers.
00:42Many people who have been in the Ascension hospitals in the last few days have reported chaotic conditions from the
00:51second you walk in to the building.
00:54The cyber attack hit May 8th, 2024, creating disruption in computer record systems, leading to widespread service complications.
01:05In their interview, WTMJ Channel 4 mentions the patient they spoke to is being told conflicting things.
01:16The doctor's office cannot access their records.
01:21Doctors on vacation.
01:22I was a patient at Ascension St. Vincent's East Hospital in Birmingham, Alabama in 2019 and I was misdiagnosed and
01:33I believe patient dumped in the emergency department.
01:35I played my call explaining my issues as I tried to relay them to Ascension, CEO, Joseph Impiccicay.
01:45You've reached the Ascension System Office General Mailbox.
01:48After the tone, leave a detailed message and someone will respond to your call.
01:55I'm trying to reach CEO, Joseph Impiccicay, and he can contact me at that number and I have a message
02:02that I would like to give to Ascension.
02:05Between 2018 and 2019, I was an emergency department patient at Ascension St. Vincent's East Hospital in Birmingham, Alabama.
02:14I believe I had broken my neck.
02:17I had an x-ray, two CT scans, and later an MRI looked at by Ascension St. Vincent's doctors.
02:25Each time they had told me I had no injuries in this area, I knew their diagnosis was an error
02:31as my condition worsened.
02:33The area became infected and infested with parasites by summer of 2019.
02:38I almost died.
02:39I obtained my medical records from your hospital along with the x-ray, CT, MRI imagery and discovered the truth
02:46of my injury.
02:47I had broken bone in the underside of my skull in the area of the condylar canal and occipital condyle.
02:53How the doctors could admit such a large and serious injury over multiple hospital visits is inexcusable.
02:58I believe some element of organized corruption may exist in this hospital.
03:04I have compiled over 10 hours of video documentation on what happened to me on my YouTube channel.
03:11And the name of the channel is My Medical Nightmare.
03:14I believe I may have been a victim of patient dumping in the course of my seeking treatment, which is
03:21a violation of EMTALA, E-M-T-A-L-A.
03:24When I told medical staff associated with Ascension about my discovery, that I had been misdiagnosed repeatedly, I was personally
03:33attacked and my psychological state was challenged.
03:36And this is reflected in medical records I obtained later.
03:40I could not obtain proper treatment or diagnosis for this injury because doctors and nurses that I would subsequently have
03:50encounters with would only entertain what the erroneous Ascension ER findings were.
03:56My mother, who was a nurse for 20 years, had the misfortune of working in an Ascension hospital.
04:02When I questioned my MRR findings involving St. Vincent's Ambulatory Healthcare Network, LLC, and Dr. Michael Brandt Ruff, MD, radiologist,
04:13in March 2019.
04:15My mother, who was a nurse for 20 years and worked in the Ascension hospital, she was terminated from her
04:19job there around the same time.
04:22And so this phone call, I challenge the misdiagnosis of Ascension St. Vincent's East Hospital, Birmingham, Alabama, and I challenge
04:32the policy of this hospital.
04:35And Mr. P2K, I think you need to look into this, please.
04:39Please listen to my message, look into what I'm saying, and you're free to contact me.
