I read some reviews on the internet employee review section of indeed.com that back up my own experience as a misdiagnosed patient at American Family Care (AFC Urgent Care) around Birmingham, AL.. There is obvious endemic corruption present in the medical industry in Birmingham Alabama in my experience. State, county and city authority figures and governance does not properly regulate their offenses and crimes. Meanwhile, the doctors are making millions of dollars, do not do their jobs properly or correct / acknowledge errors. The Majority of the 478+ Indeed Employee Reviews For AFC Urgent Care Speak Of Negative Work Environment. Some relate a 2014 investigation and settlement involving The U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of Alabama; the Department of Justice’s Civil Division, Commercial Litigation Branch; the Office of Inspector General of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services; and the Federal Bureau of Investigation.

00:00If you're interested in the current state of affairs in the very corrupt medical industry in Birmingham, Alabama, yes, this
00:13needs immediate outside intervention.
00:16The authorities in the state of Alabama, in the cities, in the counties, they are not doing anything about this
00:25stuff.
00:27Corruption is the norm.
00:30I will direct you to this website.
00:33It's called Indeed.
00:36Now, what you can do here is, if you have worked at a company, any company, basically, any place of
00:48employment, you can leave a review about your experience there.
00:53And this also goes for medical practices, hospitals, doctors' offices, etc.
00:58I'll share a trick also about using the Indeed website.
01:03Once you type in the business or employer that you want to see the reviews on, they will display several.
01:16And then, after like six or seven reviews, you'll see that there may be hundreds or thousands of other reviews
01:26that you can't read because the body of the text has been blurred out.
01:35They want you to leave your review as an employee of the company to get access to read the other
01:43reviews.
01:43Well, there is a way around this, and I'll tell you how to do this.
01:47What you do is, the headlines to the reviews, you can read those.
01:56And you right-click your mouse button over the headline, open that as a new page or a new tab
02:06in your web browser, and you can read that review.
02:10And yeah, it's a bit tedious, but using this technique, you can read every single review that's left on the
02:20Indeed website without having to enter in any type of information.
02:25Okay, we go to Indeed and start typing in some of the names of these medical practices and hospitals, etc.
02:37And you will very quickly see, it's not just me, as a patient, relating these negative experiences.
02:46The actual people who work for these also have some stories to tell, and they can do so here more
02:56or less anonymously.
03:00If you're thinking about going to a medical practice in Birmingham, Alabama, go to Indeed and read the experiences of
03:10people who have worked in these places first.
03:13And some of these reviews are jaw-dropping.
03:18All right, American Family Care, AFC Urgent Care.
03:21They have several clinic locations across the Birmingham, Alabama area, and in other states.
03:33487 reviews on Indeed.com.
03:37I went through and read most of these, and what I can say is that the overwhelming majority of these
03:45employee reviews are negative.
03:47And, yeah, after reading through this stuff, I don't see how any company, especially a medical practice, can still be
03:59in business after being so negatively reviewed.
04:04I was a patient there in 2019.
04:07I had a very negative experience.
04:09I almost died from the injury that I had.
04:11And I will share that following reading through a couple of these reviews.
04:17I found two reviews that reference this item that I found details on, on the website of the FBI, the
04:30Federal Bureau of Investigation.
04:34American Family Care, Inc. to pay $1.2 million to settle allegations of inflated Medicare claims.
04:48American Family Care, Inc. has agreed to pay the government, that's the United States government, $1.2 million to resolve
04:58allegations under the False Claims Act
05:01that it knowingly submitted claims to Medicare for outpatient office visits that were billed at a higher rate than was
05:09appropriate.
05:11The Justice Department of the United States of America announced today, American Family Care is a network of walk-in
05:20medical clinics headquartered in Birmingham, Alabama, with offices in Alabama, Tennessee, and Georgia.
05:29Quote, Mischarging the government for office visits wastes valuable government resources that could be used to care for other patient
05:37needs, said Assistant Attorney General for the Justice Department's Civil Division.
05:42At a time of increasing concern about the cost of medical care, it is especially important to ensure that health
05:49care providers are not overbilling the government by improperly inflating their claims.
05:55So among the negative employee reviews that refer to this incident, I found this one.
06:08Quote, this company needs to be shut down immediately.
06:12Lab Tech, former employee, Tennessee, September 27, 2014.
06:18This company should be shut down for insurance fraud, which they have been sued for before, but it's still going
06:25on.
06:26The company is unprofessional in all kinds of ways.
06:29The corporate management and office management does not recognize their workers.
06:35They look down upon their workers, and the thing about it is they have never had any kind of medical
06:40background in their lives.
06:42The physicians that work have no idea what the heck they are doing.
06:48They look up demonstrations on YouTube to see how it's done.
06:52We have complained about a physician so many times to our manager and to our corporate office, and they will
07:00not do anything about it.
07:02Even when he is doing illegal practices and running up patients' insurance bills so he can have that physician's bonus.
07:10This company needs to be reported and shut down immediately.
07:15And I found this related employee review.
07:20Quote, corporate does not care about employees.
07:25Employee, former employee, Birmingham, Alabama, May 18, 2020.
07:30It is a constant battle between corp and clinics.
07:34The managers have so much piled on their plate every day, week, there's no time to get it done.
07:41Corp change manager from salary to hourly, and expect the same amount of work for them while they work.
07:49But God forbid working bare staff that an emergency come in because there is never enough staff to do anything.
07:59If AFC was financially broken, then why do they continue to expand in other states?
08:05It is just amazing how the owner builds a storage building behind the corporate office to hold his cars.
08:16And some, that is workers, have not gotten raises in three years.
08:21And if they do not stop overcharging for the COVID testing, the FBI will be back in like it was
08:28in 2012.
08:30So yes, please go check out the reviews of American Family Care Owned Indeed.
08:37You'll see some shocking things.
08:40And I really hope that the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Northern District of Alabama,
08:45the Department of Justice, Civil Division, Commercial Litigation Branch,
08:50the Office of Inspector General of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services,
08:55and the Federal Bureau of Investigation, which was involved in this 2014 litigation against AFC Urgent Care,
09:02watches my videos, and they need to look at this stuff and some of the other things that are out
09:08there,
09:08and they need to close this place permanently.
09:12So what happened to me?
09:13Yes, I was a patient at American Family Care, the Parkway East location in 2019.
09:23By 2019, they apparently still have not cleaned up their act or ascribed to professional business practices.
09:33I had an x-ray done at the clinic, $175.
09:38Cash.
09:41I was told that I had no injuries appear in my x-ray.
09:45I'll put the x-rays up here from the visit.
09:49I'll put up the medical records, and you can see this for yourself.
09:53I've shown this in many hours of video you can watch on my YouTube channel.
09:59My Medical Nightmare.
10:02The medical doctor that reviewed my x-ray was not located in the state of Alabama.
10:10This was telemedicine.
10:11Through Xperity, the doctor was Anna Maria Echnik, M-D-D-A-B-R.
10:19She said I had no injuries in the x-ray.
10:22The injury that I actually did have, I had broken the underside of my skull.
10:28And at the point where I had this x-ray taken,
10:33I had many, many months of infection that had set in in my upper neck
10:38and around the broken underside of my skull.
10:42I almost died from this injury.
10:45I was not very happy about what happened to me.
10:49I tried to get this corrected because I'm self-pay.
10:54I don't have insurance or a source of income.
10:59$175 is a lot to somebody like myself.
11:02I feel like I was ripped off.
11:07I tried to go into the clinic.
11:10I tried to talk to the doctors.
11:12I tried to call Xperity.
11:15I tried to call the supervising doctor, Christopher Blake Thomas,
11:21who's, last time I checked,
11:24practicing up on Highway 280 near Mountain Brook
11:28at the Acaba Village AFC location.
11:32He gives a false name out to people who call the clinic.
11:39And he says his name is Sadler.
11:41The other managers and staff of the AFC facilities,
11:45they also know this medical doctor as Sadler.
11:50S-A-D-D-L-E-R.
11:54False names and pseudonyms
11:56are used by the state of Alabama licensed medical practitioners.
12:01I believe that this violates ethics and possibly the law.
12:05So I've made the Alabama Board of Medical Examiners
12:10aware of my situation as well.
12:12But yeah, go up to My Medical Nightmare on YouTube.
12:16Read my interactions with all these people.
12:20I recorded my phone calls with AFC, with Xperity.
12:25I called the CEO of Xperity.
12:27Okay.
12:28Dr. David Stern.
12:29Yeah, this company is valued at over a billion dollars.
12:33None of the involved or associated parties,
12:36medical doctors, facilities, etc.
12:39will claim responsibility for the services that were provided to me.
12:47They won't acknowledge the injury.
12:49They won't correct their mistake.
12:52And this is not acceptable.
