01:07Let's go.
01:12It worked for Jet.
01:17But Hunter sweeps from the outside to get the whole shot.
01:20Yeah, a great start for Hunter.
01:22Looked like Jet was able to get there a lot closer, but he had to go in a little deeper
01:26for Jorge.
01:29But one and two.
01:30Hey, Deegan's up in that top five, top six.
01:34Cooper Webb third, then Prado.
01:36And Jet's going for the lead.
01:37Now, I believe if I'm Jet Lawrence, I'm attacking Hunter right now, which he tries to go up the inside.
01:42Hunter seems like he's had to pace all day long.
01:44So, and you can tell Jet's being a lot more aggressive than he did that first Moto.
01:48He knows the 96 gets away.
01:50He'll be looking at himself the way he's been doing to everybody else the last couple years.
01:55Let's see what happens.
01:58I think Hunter Lawrence knows that as well.
02:01He's pedal to the metal right now with the brothers.
02:06What a show.
02:08Oh, Jet's aggressive right now.
02:11Yeah, and if you tuned in to that first Moto, which I'm sure you did,
02:14at no point in the race that Jet looked like this, being really aggressive.
02:18Because I think he understands what he needs to do.
02:21And it's almost like he's racing himself by racing Hunter Lawrence.
02:26But Hunter's doing a great job at holding him off.
02:30And they're already looking at the gap that got over in third place already.
02:33Yeah, Prado made the move on Webb, but it's already about three seconds back.
02:40Deegan still battling Hampshire a little bit further back.
02:43And look at Hunter.
02:44Nice work through that section for him.
02:47It stretches it just a little bit.
02:49Yeah, getting in these shadows.
02:51Probably tough for these guys going really sunny day.
02:54They put a little bit of water, so got to be careful.
02:55But, man, it seems like he's just answering it.
03:00It's a small mistake there he did in the first Moto as well.

03:08And it's a good setup between the brothers.
03:10Yeah, Jet definitely going at it a little bit harder than he did in the first Moto.
03:15But even with that, Hunter has opened it up.
03:21There's Prado in third.
03:23Looks like Jorge might have closed up a little bit.
03:25But, yeah, good to see this because we saw that first Moto.
03:28He obviously went off the track.
03:30But then we saw Hayden Deegan marches way up.
03:33Jorge wasn't able to do that.
03:34So hopefully he can continue this as these guys out front.
03:38His biggest thing is just to keep fighting towards the end.
03:40Even if the guys out front go the way, he's got to fight.
03:44You know, eventually the number 38 is coming.
03:47Yeah, they dropped back around Webb.
03:49A couple of them.
03:51Prado, Hampshire, Deegan have gotten him.
03:54Pondle on the Monster Kawasaki is next.
03:58Got a Deegan-Hampshire battling brewing now.
04:02That looks like Eli for all the Eli fans.
04:05He's running at 10th at the moment.
04:07Not the best starts for him.
04:09Let's see if Hayden, this line that he's using his first Moto still works.
04:13Like they worked on the track a little bit.
04:14So it might not be as good.
04:15But as I say that, there he goes.
04:17Pretty dark good right there.
04:18Wow.
04:20Right by the 24.

04:23Deegan on fire here again in Moto 2.
04:25But look, guys, he's already seven seconds down.
04:27And that's what makes the job so difficult for Hayden to go against the Lawrences.
04:32Not only do they get the start.
04:33Not only do they have blinding speed.
04:35But they rarely make mistakes, too.
04:37So you almost have to be perfect to even get to see them.
04:40That's the most difficult part about this thing for Hayden.
04:43He's learning.
04:43He's trying to chase the very best in the world.
04:45But you have to be perfect on top of that to even be in the fight.
04:49Yeah, and I agree with that, JT.
04:51And that's the difference between the 250 class.
04:54Hayden's obviously getting better.
04:55But he'll figure out, like, yeah, as you mentioned, he's got to have everything on point to compete.
05:00Because in a 250 class, he can have these starts.
05:02And nobody was really that consistent as Tondo goes around Cooper Webb.
05:07Nobody's really that consistent in a class to put that amount of pressure on you.
05:10But here in this 450 class, it is hard.
05:14And the big man there from Norway with that pass on Webb, you mentioned, up to six.
05:19Could be the best moto of the year for him.
05:22Corndog, as they call him, Cornelius.
05:24He told me this morning that actually it was a nickname Trey Kennard came up with.
05:28The Honda was helping him out last year a little bit.
05:31And so we need to work with Trey, who's over there with that team, came up with the Corndog nickname.
05:35Not what you would think for a Norwegian.
05:39He is rolling right now.
05:41Hayley.
05:42Well, this is somewhat of a seamless transition partnership-wise from Bubba Pauly's team to Monster Energy Kawasaki
05:48because of that co-partnership with Kawasaki.
05:51But for Cornelius Tondog, he told me earlier this morning that this is a dream come true.
05:56Bubba Pauly didn't want to let him go, but Bubba told me that he would resent me if I held
06:01him back.
06:01So, Cornelius Tondog, I really like to see this result.
06:04Looking to improve off of his first moto.
06:07Yeah, and he was working hard with that team.
06:08Bubba was telling me during the weekend off after High Point, they really put in the work,
06:13really focused on those top tens.
06:16And then he was rewarded with this ride with Kawasaki.
06:18Now, Cornelius said last week going to the Southwick, he was already pretty smoked coming into the race
06:22because all the testing he was doing to get used to this factory bike.
06:26A little bit more of a usual schedule this week for him.
06:29And a little bit more of the usual with the Lawrences.
06:32This time, Jet has caught back up to Hunter, and the battle is on.
06:36Yeah, great to see this.
06:37We thought maybe Hunter was starting to get away.
06:40And just like that first moto, once he did that, he was able to ride away.
06:43But Jet understands the moment.
06:45Last weekend was the same thing in that first moto.
06:48Understanding that, look, I cannot let my brother beat me from behind.
06:52And he was able to answer.
06:53Even though he goes down, he answers.
06:55And in this one, kind of the same situation.
06:59Great to see him responding.
07:03As they're doing that, they're pulling away from everybody else.
07:16And the fans have come to respect it.
07:19Another Hunter vs. Jet battle.
07:26Oh, Hunter almost lost the front end.
07:28Right there going in that corner, hit that slippery spot.
07:32But Jet's got some serious momentum now.
07:36Here it comes.
07:39Is he close enough?
07:41Not quite.
07:43Yeah, but like these guys, they know each other.
07:46Hunter understands exactly what Jet's doing.
07:49And, you know, he's been in the same spot where he's been able to close on Jet.
07:52And when Hunter was behind, then Jet, you know, has these bursts of speed.
07:55So, well, older brother started teaching younger brother.
07:58Look, I know you've been doing this thing, but I was here first.
08:01Let me show you how it's done.
08:02Nonetheless, we've got a little family feud on here.
08:06Mama, put away to the kitchen.
08:08These boys are fighting again.
08:11Well, you're seeing in real time how they take each other to another level.
08:18Doing it right now.
08:20Jet's going to slow down, try to square up Hunter.
08:22He wants to stay on the inside of him and try to cut back here.
08:26If he can get on the inside, charge down that hill.
08:28We saw him.
08:30Hunter was not letting it happen.
08:32If anybody else but Hunter, it would have got offward at the dinner table with that one.
08:36Jet would have made that pass.
08:37But, look, family first.
08:39They've always preached that.
08:42Jet might have had an opportunity.
08:43Now, Hunter knows that.
08:45So, it might be an opportunity that Jet might have wasted if Hunter understands and started blocking it.
08:50Yeah, but what's interesting is you're seeing different lines from both of them all over the track.
08:55Let's see if Jet has another spot.
08:58Not there.
09:00That one's a little bit too one-lined for him.
09:02He's jumping into this corner earlier.
09:03Yeah, he's trying to get to the outside to set up for the inside.
09:06Yeah, well, the lines that you're seeing right now, Hunter hasn't been riding those all day long.
09:11But what he's doing is defending where his brother is.
09:13So, Hunter knows that Jet's right now.
09:15He has that flow.
09:16So, I'm just trying to keep him behind him.
09:18So, it's more protective.
09:19So, some of these lines you're going to see, Jet's going to close in a lot as he goes in
09:23here.
09:24Hold on tight.
09:29Unreal this battle.
09:34And Jet didn't get the momentum into the sand whoops he did last time, but he still finds a way.
09:39Yeah, Hunter made a mistake and buried the bike.
09:41And because Jet didn't get that momentum, he missed that opportunity on the pass.
09:46I think this is the battle we've been waiting for.
09:48We have said they've been swapping the wins and the point lead, but not bar-to-bar on the track.
09:53We've got it now.
09:55Hunter's doing everything to keep his younger brother behind him.
09:57Jet, this is great.
09:59Now Jet's going to scrub.
10:00He's going to have the inside of Hunter.
10:01Let's see if he closes them off.
10:03Jet's going to have this pass here from Hunter.
10:05Oh, ho, ho, ho, ho, ho.
10:06Sets it all the way up the hill.
10:08Hunter says no.
10:10And still holds on.
10:12Wow, what some racing.
10:14Now, man, these kids, Jet's going to have that opportunity again.
10:18Now, at the same time, now you see Hunter.
10:20He's on the outside.
10:21He's going to break.
10:22You notice that.
10:23Now he put Jet in the spot.
10:25So, because Jet tried that opportunity, Hunter just...
10:28Yeah, chopped it right off.
10:29Now Jet's on the outside.
10:31He should have them here.
10:32Hunter's going to get stuck in his corner.
10:33There you go.
10:33You saw it coming, James.
10:35It's Jett Lawrence to the lead.
10:36Now Hunter tries to come back.
10:39This is incredible.
10:43Hunter's hustling.
10:46What a response by the champ.
10:48Hunter did everything right, but Jett just answered that last one.
10:52Kind of caught Hunter while he was protecting.
10:54Now let's see what the number one can do.
10:56Deegan and Prado for third in the bottom, JT.
10:59Yeah, and that's the first time we've really seen those two go head-to-head.
11:03Like I was asking for a Moto 1, but the job is doubly difficult there for Jett
11:07because you can't race the same way you'd race someone else.
11:10You can't be overly aggressive.
11:11You can't go in there and knock them out of the way.
11:13So you kind of have to use kid gloves when you're handling your brother
11:16because both of you are in the same family, you're on the same team,
11:19and you're battling for the same championship.
11:21So that's a really difficult ask for Jett to force a pass there.
11:24Yeah, no, absolutely.
11:25And you can tell by that because some of these corners that Hunter was on the outside,
11:29he stayed in the gas because he knows Jett probably wouldn't hit him
11:33and I got to suspect that this battle keeps going.
11:37At some point during this championship,
11:39somebody's going to knock over the salt shaker in this one.
11:42Deegan all over Prado.
11:44Yeah, if you're the Lawrence, the last thing you want is to take each other out.
11:47Deegan's the one that's third in the championship.
11:49You don't want to help him out at all.
11:51That's for sure.
11:52Deegan trying to help himself get a piece of Prado.
11:56Yeah, but Jorge's really picking up the pace and fighting.
12:01He's been close and he closed in, but it's like what we've seen a couple times this year
12:05when Jorge gets inspired, man, he is hard to pass.
12:10At the same time, they wasn't losing too much time to the guys in front of them,
12:14even though they got out, kind of stabilized.
12:15Now Jett's turned on the out-the-burner.
12:18Good ride by Jorge, considering how that first moto went.
12:23Yeah, you see Prado right there.
12:24You think, that guy's got to be leading, right?
12:26Because he is flying right now.
12:28But it's still 13 seconds off of Lawrence.
12:31So two different battles with some very capable and accomplished riders.
12:38Yeah, this is good.
12:40And go back to last weekend.
12:42One of those, when Hunter went down,
12:43these two were able to capitalize and get on the podium
12:46because that one small mistake.
12:47So as we're looking at Tony into the pits,
12:51I don't know if he saw he crashed or a bike problem,
12:53but nonetheless, it's a tough second moto for him.
12:57If Hayden Deegan scores up Jorge Prado outside, and he's got him.
13:02All right, let's see if Jorge can stay on the 38, just continue fighting.
13:10Hayden's already starting to get the gap already.
13:11It was a good tussle between these two for a couple of weeks
13:14to really establish the next best in this series.
13:17But Deegan got the better of him in moto one.
13:20And looking to do it again in moto two.
13:29Hayden's already got a couple seconds over Jorge that quickly.
13:36Now, remember, second half of moto one,
13:39and obviously Deegan wrote well in the first half to come through,
13:41but he was really on the move in the final sectors of that first moto.
13:47He doesn't get tired.
13:48We know that.
13:49Nah, he won for sure.
13:51But George Smith.
13:54Yeah.
13:54Top seven.
13:55Keep a win.
13:57Solid day for him.
14:02Smith of the 5-11 trial.
14:05Seven.
14:10Barsha is behind him in eighth.
14:12Tomac in ninth.
14:13And his return to racing.
14:16Ferrandez 10th.
14:17Marchbanks 11th.
14:19Tondal has gone back to 13th behind Bloss.
14:24Marchbanks, yeah.
14:26Tough day for him, considering what he's been.
14:29Check in with Tomac.
14:31So, obviously, the result today.
14:32This is not up to the usual standards of the four-time champion.
14:35But how much better is Tomac going to be in the next couple of races,
14:39maybe after the break, Unadilla,
14:41because he's getting these laps right now?
14:43He's going to be better.
14:44I mean, just everything.
14:46He'll work on the bike.
14:47Eli will work on himself.
14:48And Eli has too much pride to just continue to ride around like this.
14:51He would have never came back if he thought,
14:53hey, I'm just going to be a 10-place guy.
14:55So, there's a lot of emotions going to it.
14:57We don't know how much longer he's going to continue to race.
14:59But at the same time, he's here to compete.
15:02And for him, he'll only get better for sure.
15:07And he's battling his own rival, Justin Barsha.
15:10They've been racing their whole lives.
15:11And they're about equal, by the way.
15:13They're both climbing rapidly the all-time starts list together.
15:17Barsha and Tomac.
15:19Barsha got a couple extra starts on him this year.
15:21But now Tomac's back.
15:23Dylan Ferrandez on the Ducati.
15:25They're the 14th.
15:27He's moved into this fight.
15:29Yeah, Dylan and Ducati had a great first moto hat.
15:33All their guys within the top ten.
15:36Unfortunately, we lost Tony here.
15:37But a good ride by these guys.
15:41Yeah, Eli.
15:45Trying to hang on against Ferrandez to 20, 21, 450 pro motocross champion.
15:51And March Banks has caught Ferrandez.
15:59And the reason I talked about it in the first moto when I was looking at Eli, just to be
16:03charging down the hills.
16:04It looked like he was very timid.
16:06And I thought maybe it was more of a bike setup rather than him.
16:09Because on these flat parts, he's able to really charge.
16:12I mean, he's able to pull away from Dylan right here.
16:15And he was able to do that in the first moto.
16:16But then, as the track goes on, he's going down these hills.
16:19He's going kind of a bit slow compared to what we normally see in Eli.
16:23You see the guy behind him close up.
16:25It's like Garrett has a run on the inside of Dylan Ferrandez here.
16:30Yeah, he got it, James.
16:32So that will move him up into 10.
16:34Halfway through this moto.
16:36Reminder to stock up a Monster Energy drink at Fleet Farm.
16:40How much further can March Banks go?
16:43He's in top five.
16:44The fans picked him for fifth place.
16:46So Garrett understands he don't want to let the fans down.
16:50Got to get up here.
16:51And he's not even at the top of Kawasaki on his team at the moment.

16:56Oh, no, Tondal went back.
16:57Oh, he wasn't.
16:58But Tondal must have made a mistake a couple of laps ago.
17:02Because he was ahead of this group.
17:04Now, it's interesting to see March Banks and Tomek.
17:06That's what led to Tomek's undoing first lap of the season.
17:10Lines came together.
17:11They collided.
17:13March Banks said when he saw Tomek at the track in California this week, they were both
17:16riding the public tracks.
17:17He apologized again.
17:19Tomek said we're all good.
17:21Now they're going to battle on the track.
17:22Hopefully, don't bump wheels this time.
17:25Yeah, Garrett's probably going to try to stay away.
17:27He's like, Eli, hey, I'm back here.
17:28Just letting you know.
17:29Don't want those lines to come through.
17:31But, yeah, you can see how much more speed.
17:34There you go right there.
17:35Eli had that inside.
17:37But, yeah, just not able to charge down the hills for whatever reason.
17:40And Garrett made that pass up pretty easy.
17:43See if he can continue to move up.
17:44Got Justin Barsha about a second in front of him.
17:47And about ten seconds back.
17:50Well, less than that to Jordan Smith, who's running seven.
17:53Yeah, and it becomes the first pro motocross race for Tomek on that bike.
17:58So, you know they're going to learn.
17:59Heading to Washington in a couple of weekends.
