00:49gets on the bike he goes back to chasing it on uh saturday morning in practice so this week
00:55he just brought a suspension from his practice bike yeah i've done that a couple times okay and
01:00what happens is is that they rebuild these bikes every weekend so they put fresh parts on there
01:04they rebuild the suspension so when you come to a race the bike's new so it takes a minute for
01:09it to
01:10break down like break in to where you you're comfortable so he's probably coming here that
01:14bike's not feeling quite where he wants it he starts chasing it and then he gets off his setup
01:19because he's chasing a rigid motorcycle and so what rj did he brought what he felt like he's been
01:24riding all week long threw it on the motorcycle comes out podium's the first race and if you get
01:29around jorge brought to have his first podium of the year so whatever it is more of a mindset
01:34probably is the same but just that feeling of break-in time we don't have that much time to give
01:38here and he was nine tenths quicker than prado last time around rj said you would know immediately
01:45if this worked and he was very quick in the first qualifying session so that was a sign
01:50and bringing the forks from home was the way to go can he get to prado and get that podium

01:55you know how expensive it is to check luggage on airport you know he's going to make sure that bike
01:59works got to get that money back yeah big podium bonus in or out potentially for the veteran from
02:05florida on the 24th yeah he's starting to see him and we know rj we talked about it at first

03:56have that he understood that hunter would do the same thing to him we know how strong hunter is in
04:00the second half of the moto so jet just went out there and knew he had to beat hunter and

04:06do it early in his moto and that's what he did and that's the difference to me
04:11super webb goes down he was running sixth loops a couple spots smith and marchbank's going to get
04:17by this is oldenburg about to go a lap down to jet who crashes while leading and got pegged by
04:24the
04:24bike oh no oh man and he's stuck or is he hurt yeah he's stuck underneath the motorcycle looks like
04:33but hopefully he's stuck and i go back to the keys to the moto with these guys overall he's still

04:39he can't get up from the bike finally

04:52that new section they put in that mount martin but if you see from a front shot that jump is
04:57really a lot
04:58of breaking bumps and it's a hard section right before so it looked like jeff started losing the
05:03front end he caught those ruts off the face of that and he goes down but this is where you

05:08to remember look you're still in a championship fight you've got to get up because you cannot lose
05:13any more points to this guy hunter lawrence see all is good now he's on the inside now look at

05:22of that jump so as he gets on he's a little bit farther inside than probably once he gets caught

05:27bike the handlebar was in his boot the handlebar went in to the top of his boot that was the
05:32problem and then if the handlebar is wedged into the ground he can't get the food out yeah now watch
05:37his front end you can see it pop up there nice and then he does a good job at not
05:41losing it before
05:43and then at the point he kind of throws the bike away but then that yeah the handlebar and his
05:46boot
05:47i'm glad he's he's okay but yeah i could hurt bad yeah luckily i think he's all right we saw

05:55adrenaline could do last week so he has gone back to fifth but can he get back up the pace
06:02and hunter
06:03lawrence now looking at a 1-1 yeah wow i almost don't want to say anything yeah because every time
06:12we do something happen now both photos last week jet appeared down photo one in hand fell hunter
06:19appeared down moto two and had fell we've seen more crashes from jet lawrence i'm going to say this
06:27year this is a rough estimate of my mind this year that we've seen in any of his previous 450

06:32combined and you don't know if that goes back to the foot injury yeah hampshire has caught fraud
06:41down still needs his pass yeah because that fall with jet now moves hey deegan up to second place
06:48jets in third so rj makes this pass he'll knock jet lawrence off as jet lawrence can get around
06:54somebody else but yeah the person he has to pass is rj but yeah going back to your point about

07:00actually think this was just the track erasing incident uh rather than maybe some of the other
07:04crashes that okay maybe at southwake he's quite a bit the mechanics area go ahead yeah that that's a brutal
07:09part of that racetrack and you really can't see from this angle but that face is really hard i've
07:14seen a lot of guys not double that um just caught the number one out
07:20caught the 26 is what the 24 has done prado and hampshire hampshire going for his first overall
07:26podium of the year it would actually be hayden deegan's second overall
07:34will it be jet or hampshire third
07:39so push jet off the podium if hampshire makes this move
07:44and i will and you would assume that rj the way he's caught him he would have him but one
07:49thing
07:49where jorge always figures out how to must it up and you know keep these guys behind him especially
07:56when it's you know something on the line and yeah yeah you can tell he's doing the same thing with

08:03a little fight for the 26 and he's gonna need to because rj ain't going anywhere well jet must be
08:08relatively okay just put in a 205 lap that's about a second slower than prado and hampshire but
08:14not a disastrous lap time although we go back to sasha kunin last week you never know what these
08:19guys how tough they are get to the finish and it would be a big points haul for hunter lawrence

08:26now you can see the left side of the screen overall for the day he would get 11 on jet

08:30would leave with a 10 point lead headed to washugal all on the back of one mistake by the number

08:38yeah well the good thing is i feel like jet's okay because we saw in that camera angle he was

08:43somebody to come because his boot was caught and he couldn't get up his bike was caught in his boot
08:47so if he was hurt probably wouldn't be doing that but even more to these two in this championship we
08:53saw last weekend looked like hunter lawrence had jet on the ropes and he finally broke him then he goes
08:58down and so you start wondering who had the momentum was it hunter or was it jet now the same

09:04hunter had the momentum this first moto rj almost did the same thing yeah did um right there well now
09:10jet had hunter cover broke him and he goes down so yeah he loses 10 points in his championship but
09:17you can argue that the momentum might be back in the number one the way he was able to rebound

09:22moto but who knows with these kids they they're both close and luckily for us we get to witness it

09:28weekend the twist and turns of that championship battle between the brothers and as you expected
09:35you said it prado he is stingy with it have shouted so much work to get to him but now
09:43he can't
09:44get close enough to make the move i remember being in these spots where rj and i would get so
09:49mad that
09:50i catch this guy that like yeah i got him and then all of a sudden he picks up the
09:54pace and i'm starting
09:55to make mistakes and then because i'm getting angry i make more mistakes a lot has got to go but

10:00all because what jorge's picking up that pace rj thought he had him but he's got the regroup again what

10:06of conversations do you have in the mind under the helmet in these scenarios oh we're we're not
10:11on cable tv it was just saying you can't even say all right a big dig here for hampshire can

10:20back to prado now he'll he'll close back in on jorge pretty quickly but yeah jorge fight he'll block
10:33them lots what we saw hunter lawrence do to jet lawrence as best as he could he's going to be

10:37the rj to kind of sneak attack we know there's some opportunities to make these passes it's clearly
10:42faster but good job by jorge we're fighting man these guys are pushing you know what makes this
11:07section harder to coming down to the shadows you almost got him again yeah
11:12yeah yeah that's why i go back to that mistake by jet really wasn't it's just a tough racetrack

11:31in front of them now this is that hard base it's off camera you see that front end wash right

11:35he wanted to get back on the inside of those ruts but he couldn't because the front end watches he
11:39gets cross-rutted dismounts off the motorcycle and unfortunately for him the bike is catch caught
11:45in his boot which really cost them the laptop uh positions right there yeah might have been able
11:50to get up in second but that's not the case he's all the way back to fifth that puts the
11:55podium still
11:56in reach for the 24 right now it'd be hunter lawrence hey deegan
12:04jett lawrence podium to be two second place finishes in the second photos in a row for hayden
12:10look it did come off the backs of crashes for the lord since the last two weeks but he's going
12:15to
12:15take confidence any way he could get it as for hunter lawrence it's just scoreboard time it looked like
12:22jet had him maybe covered in this moto the scoreboard's going to say one one and the red plate
12:27if if he holds on if he holds on yeah absolutely i mean at this point yeah i just i
12:33think it's crazy
12:34on how what we saw in that first moto how easily he was able to ride away from his brother
12:38and then
12:39the strategy change of understanding that okay jet's going to try to attack i said early in the moto that
12:45hey if i'm jet i gotta attack hunter lawrence early in his moto he did but hunter showed his racecraft
12:50did
12:51his best um holding him back switching his lines up and yeah jet was able to get around him but
12:56at
12:56the end of the day like you said he holds on for another two laps he's gonna say one one
13:00and the
13:02bigger points league yes but as we've seen in both classes i don't know if the red plate
13:07that's what you want let's go to the mantle it's good when you're holding it on the podium but it
13:12has
13:12been cursed this year in both classes yeah nobody's gonna have to change the font i mean the color
13:20a little difference in the red just make it a little darker red or lighter red switch it up
13:23yeah the superstition might go a long way but hunter lawrence is the race where he had a big
13:30breakthrough last year it was moto one jet went down early made a charge got to second and could not
13:35close and it was really the arrival that hunter was there to fight jet he's very good in the second
13:41half of the season they battled for the world championship of the playoffs down to the wire
13:46and then jet not able to race supercross this year of the injury and hunter an incredible season
13:51indoors from him did not get the title that went to ken roxson but he showed he is as elite
13:57as it gets
13:58indoors and out and that story continues yes it does and just going back and talking about earlier
14:05when they were racing each other and hunter was staying in it jet wouldn't hit him that's what makes
14:10it harder for a lot of these guys like hayden deegan the challenge to beat both these brothers because
14:14they are battling and normally when you're battling the guy you have to have that sense of fear that
14:19hey man this guy might run it in but when these two race they race in a way where they
14:23don't slow
14:24each other down so they continue picking that pace battling each other only getting better but they're
14:29not slowing each other down which makes they ride every day during the week together they own the
14:33same team so it's like they're battling and elevating themselves which is making it even harder for
14:39anybody else to challenge them and that's why so far when you see them out here they're a lot better
14:44than everybody else tough combination to beat you see it week in and week out
14:51two to go for hunter lawrence
14:57and it would be three wins in four rounds for him
15:00headed to our struggle which really i don't think is the best track for either hunter and jet
15:05and that has been a great track historically for hayden deegan so that is going to be spicy
15:10next weekend and like i said it's still two second place second motos in a row for hayden that's the
15:16season best he's going to tell himself look i know jet crashing this one hunter crashing that one but
15:24hey deegan's going to believe it's something no i mean he is and yeah going to what you're saying
15:29maybe not the best track for these two even though i think the old ross dedication go back
15:34to a couple years ago and i can't remember who it was that he passed hayden deegan that is in
15:39a 250
15:39class but i remember cooper yeah just i remember that race and we were on the call and i said
15:44hayden deegan will never be the same again after that moto and he hasn't ever since then he's went
15:49on the terror winning so you know he's going to have that feeling and based off of what he saw
15:53this
15:53first moto and what i see and historically hart washuvos a very track it's a hard track to really
15:59separate he's going to be a lot closer just in general hey deegan has a real shot to win next
16:04weekend despite how dominant these two brothers look all year long now leave the door too open for
16:11danger boy back there in second prado is he going to win that battle with hampshire denying hampshire the
16:19overall podium to be a moto podium for prado but a bad first moto when he went off track when
16:24deegan
16:25went down he has no shot to visit the fox overall today himself but he's racing for pride there prado
16:31wouldn't let rj get there so it looks like chet lawrence is going to cling to the podium today with
16:39third
16:42another shot of fraud this thing in right now i talked about earlier when we're off camera i'm like
16:49man i think this track's going to get rough today you did you said that yesterday yeah i just looked
16:55at it and boy uh millville has delivered yeah and i want to give credit to the martin brothers it

17:01alex the former racer's idea to change this hill i think people liked it because it was going to take
17:07some speed out reduce the risk but there was a lot of worry that there would be less passing
17:11but i feel like it held up we've seen a lot of action in this sector yeah it has i
17:16mean my only
17:16suggestion would probably take that double out right there i think it'll open up that whole space but
17:22yeah it really puts the track together because now to make a pass in that section you have to do
17:27it
17:27two corners earlier by setting them up so good job great racetrack and here this guy goes again
17:34and millville's in good hands with the martin brothers working with their mom and dad wait a
17:38minute i'm not i'm wrong every time i say something just expect the opposite rj still going out for
17:43prado on this last lap for the podium checkered flag 1-1 at millville for hunter lawrence yeah i
17:51wouldn't be surprised as rj runs it in right here you can see jorge scrubbing rj's gonna have to go
17:57a long way let's see if he get beside him he didn't get inside of this corner oh not enough
18:06rj's gonna be angry after that good route for jorge to stay there
