00:10O Lord, open our lips, and our mouths shall sing your praise.
00:17O God, make speed to save us. O Lord, make haste to help us.
00:26Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning,
00:32is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.
00:39Let us praise the Lord. The Lord's name be praised.
00:49I believe in one God, the Father Almighty, maker of heaven and earth, of all things visible and invisible.
00:59I believe in one Lord Jesus Christ, the only begotten Son of God, born of the Father before all ages.
01:09God from God, light from light, true God from true God, begotten, not made, being of one substance with the
01:19Father.
01:20Through him all things were made.
01:23For us men, and for our salvation, he came down from heaven, and by the Holy Spirit, was incarnate of
01:31the Virgin Mary, and became man.
01:35For our sake, he was crucified under Pontius Pilate.
01:39He suffered death and was buried, and rose again on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures.
01:46He ascended into heaven, and is seated at the right hand of the Father.
01:52He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead, and his kingdom will have no end.
01:59I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life, who proceeds from the Father,
02:06who with the Father and the Son, is adored and glorified, who has spoken through the prophets.
02:14I believe in one holy, catholic and apostolic church.
02:18I confess one baptism for the forgiveness of sins,
02:23and I look forward to the resurrection of the dead, and the life of the world to come.
02:30Amen.
02:33The Lord be with you, and also with you.
02:39Let us pray.
02:42Lord, have mercy upon us.
02:45Christ, have mercy upon us.
02:48Lord, have mercy upon us.
02:53Our Father in heaven, holy is your name.
02:58Your kingdom come.
03:00Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
03:05Give us today our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us.
03:16Do not allow us to fall into temptation, but deliver us from every evil.
03:23Amen.
03:27O Lord, have mercy upon us, and grant us your salvation.
03:35Bless your ministers with righteousness, and make your chosen people joyful.
03:44O Lord, save your people, and bless your inheritance.
03:51Give peace in our time, O Lord, because there is none other that fights for it, but only you, O
03:59God.
04:01O God, make clean our hearts within us.
04:06Do not take your Holy Spirit from us.
04:15The Book of Job, Chapter 3
04:19After this, Job opened his mouth, and cursed the day he was born.
04:24Job spoke up and said,
04:27Let the day on which I was born, perish, and the night that said, A man has been conceived.
04:34That day let it be darkness.
04:36Let not God on high regard it, nor let light shine upon it.
04:42Let darkness and the deepest shadow claim it.
04:46Let a cloud settle on it.
04:48Let whatever blackens the day terrify it.
04:52That night, let darkness seize it.
04:56Let it not be included among the days of the year.
04:59Let it not enter among the number of the months.
05:04Indeed, let that night be barren.
05:07Let no shout of joy penetrate it.
05:11Let those who curse the day curse it.
05:14Those who are prepared to rouse Leviathan.
05:18Let its morning stars be darkened.
05:21Let it wait for daylight, but find none.
05:25Nor let it see the first rays of dawn.
05:29Because it did not shut the doors of my mother's womb on me.
05:33Nor did it hide trouble from my eyes.
05:37Why did I not die at birth?
05:40Why did I not expire as I came out of the womb?
05:45Why did the knees welcome me?
05:47And why were there two breasts that I might nurse at them?
05:52For now I would be lying down and would be quiet.
05:56I would be asleep and then at peace with kings and counsellors of the earth,
06:01Who built for themselves places now desolate,
06:05Or with princes who possessed gold,
06:07Who filled their palaces with silver.
06:11Or why was I not buried like a stillborn infant,
06:15Like infants who have never seen the light?
06:19There the wicked cease from turmoil,
06:22And there the weary are at rest.
06:25There the prisoners relax together,
06:29They do not hear the voice of the oppressor.
06:33Small and great are there,
06:35And the slave is free of his master.
06:40Why does God live light to one who is in misery,
06:43And life to those whose soul is bitter,
06:46To those that wait for death that does not come,
06:50And who search for it?
06:52More than for hidden treasure,
06:55Who rejoice even to jubilation,
06:58And are exultant when they find the grave.
07:03Why is light given to a man whose way is hidden,
07:06And whom God has hedged in?
07:10For my sighing comes in place of my food,
07:13And my groanings flow forth like water.
07:17For the very thing I dreaded has happened to me,
07:21What I feared has come upon me.
07:24I have no ease, I have no quietness,
07:28I cannot rest,
07:30Turmoil has come upon me.
07:34This is the word of the Lord.
07:37Thanks be to God.
07:46This is the word of the Lord.
08:09But his delight is in the Lord alone,
08:15And in his glory he exalts my sins,
08:20The day and the night.
08:24And he shall be like a tree planted by the water's sky,
08:30That will bring forth this rotten new season,
08:37And he shall be like a tree planted by the water's sky,
08:59And heaven.
09:02What they are like a tree plant,
09:06Which the wind scattereth away from the face of the earth,
09:14Where holy and holy shall not be able to stream in the judgment,

19:52and will you come.
19:55O thou art the cross that hath no pleasure in wickedness, neither shall any evil dwell with thee, such that
20:13we foolish shall not stand in our sight.

23:31The Acts of the Apostles Chapter 9
23:36Now as Peter was travelling around from place to place,
23:40he also came down to the saints who lived at Lydda.
23:44He found there a man named Aeneas
23:47who had been confined to a mattress for eight years
23:50because he was paralysed.
23:53Peter said to him,
23:55Aeneas, Jesus the Christ heals you.
23:58Get up and make your own bed.
24:01Immediately he got up.
24:04Those who lived in Lydda and Shalon saw him
24:07and they turned to the Lord.
24:13Now in Joppa there was a disciple named Tabitha,
24:16which in translation means Dorcas.
24:21She was continually doing good deeds and acts of charity.
24:25And at that time she had become sick and then died.
24:30When they had washed her body,
24:32they placed it in an upstairs room.
24:36Because Lydda was near to Joppa,
24:38when the disciples heard that Peter was there,
24:40they sent two men to him and urged,
24:43Come to us without delay.
24:46So Peter got up and went with them.
24:50Arriving, they brought him to the upper room.
24:54All the widows stood beside him,
24:56crying and showing him the tunics
24:58and other clothing Dorcas used to make
25:01while she was with them.
25:03But Peter sent them off that side,
25:06knelt down and prayed.
25:09Turning to the body, he said,
25:12Tabitha, get up.
25:16Then she opened her eyes
25:18and when she saw Peter, she sat up.
25:23He gave her his hand and helped her to get up.
25:28Then he called the saints and the widows
25:30and presented her alive.
25:35This became known throughout all of Joppa
25:38and many believed in the Lord.
25:41So Peter stayed there many days in Joppa
25:45with a man named Simon at Hannah.
25:48This is the word of the Lord.
25:51Thanks be to God.
25:58Collect for peace.
26:01O God, who is the author of peace
26:03and lover of concord,
26:06in knowledge of whom stands
26:07our eternal life,
26:09whose service is perfect freedom.
26:12Defend us, your humble servants,
26:14in all assaults of our enemies,
26:17that we, surely trusting in your defence,
26:21may not fear the power of any adversaries.
26:24Through the might of Jesus Christ,
26:27our Lord. Amen.
26:32Collect for our safe preservation.
26:36O Lord, our Heavenly Father,
26:38almighty and everlasting God,
26:40who has safely brought us to the beginning of this day.
26:44Defend us in the same with your mighty power,
26:47and grant that this day
26:49we fall into no sin,
26:52neither run into any kind of danger.
26:55But that all our doings may be ordered
26:58by your governance
27:00to do always that which is righteous in your sight.
27:04Through Jesus Christ, our Lord.
27:08Amen.
27:12Lord, let me accept calmly
27:14all that this day might bring me.
27:17And let me devote myself completely
27:20to your sacred will.
27:23Direct me and help me each hour of this day.
27:27Control my thoughts and feelings
27:29in all my deeds and words.
27:32When unpredictable circumstances arise,
27:35do not let me forget
27:37that everything comes from you.
27:40Lord Jesus, Son of God,
27:43it is better not to live
27:45than to live without you.
27:47I thank you, God,
27:49for the gift of this new day
27:50and for all the good deeds
27:53you will help me do today.
27:57Holy Spirit,
27:58help me to dedicate this day
28:00to my Lord and Saviour.
28:03Teach me to be just
28:04toward my brother and sister,
28:07never to provoke
28:08wrath or cause sorrow.
28:11Control my will
28:13and teach me to pray,
28:14to believe,
28:16to hope,
28:17to suffer,
28:18to forgive
28:19and to love.
28:21Amen.
28:26We pray for the work of your faithful servants
28:29throughout the world, Lord.
28:32Lord, in your mercy,
28:34hear our prayer.
28:38May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ,
28:41the love of God
28:42and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit,
28:45be with us all today
28:47and for evermore.
28:50Amen.
