00:10O Lord, open our lips, and our mouths shall sing your praise.
00:17O God, make speed to save us. O Lord, make haste to help us.
00:26Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning,
00:32is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.
00:39Let us praise the Lord. The Lord's name be praised.
00:49I believe in one God, the Father Almighty, maker of heaven and earth, of all things visible and invisible.
00:59I believe in one Lord Jesus Christ, the only begotten Son of God, born of the Father before all ages.
01:09God from God, light from light, true God from true God, begotten, not made, being of one substance with the
01:19Father.
01:20Through him all things were made.
01:23For us men, and for our salvation, he came down from heaven, and by the Holy Spirit, was incarnate of
01:31the Virgin Mary, and became man.
01:35For our sake, he was crucified under Pontius Pilate.
01:39He suffered death and was buried, and rose again on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures.
01:46He ascended into heaven, and is seated at the right hand of the Father.
01:52He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead, and his kingdom will have no end.
01:59I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life, who proceeds from the Father,
02:06who with the Father and the Son, is adored and glorified, who has spoken through the prophets.
02:14I believe in one holy, catholic and apostolic Church.
02:18I confess one baptism for the forgiveness of sins,
02:22and I look forward to the resurrection of the dead, and the life of the world to come.
02:30Amen.
02:33The Lord be with you, and also with you.
02:39Let us pray.
02:42Lord, have mercy upon us.
02:45Christ, have mercy upon us.
02:48Lord, have mercy upon us.
02:53Our Father in heaven, holy is your name, your kingdom come, your will be done on earth as it is
03:03in heaven.
03:05Give us today our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us.
03:16Do not allow us to fall into temptation, but deliver us from every evil.
03:23Amen.
03:27O Lord, have mercy upon us, and grant us your salvation.
03:35Bless your ministers with righteousness, and make your chosen people joyful.
03:44O Lord, save your people, and bless your inheritance.
03:51Give peace in our time, O Lord, because there is none other that fights for it, but only you, O
03:59God.
04:02O God, make clean our hearts within us.
04:07Do not take your Holy Spirit from us.
04:15The book of Proverbs, chapter 9.
04:19Wisdom has built her house.
04:22She has carved out its seven pillars.
04:25She has prepared her meat.
04:27She has mixed her wine.
04:29She has also arranged her table.
04:32She has sent out her female servants.
04:35She calls out of the highest places of the city.
04:40Whoever is naive, let him turn in here, she says to those who lack understanding.
04:46Come, eat of my food, and drink of my wine that I have mixed.
04:52Abandon your foolish ways, that you may live, and proceed in the way of understanding.
05:00Whoever corrects a mocker is asking for insult.
05:04Whoever reproves a wicked person receives abuse.
05:10Do not reprove a mocker, or he will hate you.
05:14But reprove a wise person, and he will love you.
05:20Give instruction to a wise person, and he will become wiser still.
05:25Teach a righteous person, and he will add to his learning.
05:31The beginning of wisdom is to fear the Lord, and acknowledging the Holy One is understanding.
05:39For because of me, your days will be many, and years will be added to your life.
05:47If you are wise, you are wise to your own advantage.
05:51But if you are a mocker, you alone must bear it.
05:57The woman called Folly is brash.
05:59She is naive, and does not know anything.
06:03And so she sits at the door of her house, on a seat at the highest point of the city,
06:09calling out to those who are passing by her, in the way, who go straight on their way.
06:17Whoever is simple, let him turn in here, she says to those who lack understanding.
06:24Stolen waters are sweet, and food obtained in secret is pleasant.
06:31But they do not realise that the dead are in there, and that her guests are in the depths of
06:37the grave.
06:39This is the word of the Lord.
06:42Thanks be to God.
07:10For me, O God is one of us.
07:16Rejoice in his holy name.
07:21Let the heart of them rejoice and seek the Lord.
07:29Seek the Lord at his strength.
07:34Seek his heavenly strength among all.
07:40Remember the marvelous works that he have done.
07:48His blunders and the judgments of his love.
07:55For he's seen of Abraham and his sons.
08:01His children of Jacob he's chosen.
08:06He is the Lord of all.
08:13His judgments are here on the wall.
08:20He that will remind you of his cover that had brought.
08:27He that he made to a thousand generations.
08:36Even the covenant that he made me live.
08:42He that will remind you of the Lord of all.
08:48and appointed the Savior to Jacob for love,
08:58and to Israel for an everlasting testament.
09:07Say, unto thee will I give the Lamb of Jacob
09:14the Lord of our holy paradise,
09:21when there were yet as a pure
09:27and grace rejoiced in the land.
09:34What time as they went from one nation to another,
09:41from one kingdom to another people,
09:49we suffered no men to do them wrong,
09:55but with rule given kings for their slaves.
10:01Touched us, my love, my dear,
10:07and to my love, it's not all.
10:14More on, before the death upon the Lamb,
10:23and destroyed all the provisional prayer,
10:32but we have sent a family for them,
10:39even just and almost so to be our bonds about,
10:46whose feet they hurt in the stars,
10:54the iron can turn into his soul,
11:02until the time came that its cause was long,
11:08the one of the Lord's life.
11:16The King's strength and deliver the King,
11:22the Prince of the people let him go free,
11:30the King's strength and deliver the King,
11:36that he might inform his princes after his will,
11:51and teach his senators wisdom.
11:57Israel also came into Egypt,
12:02and Jacob was a stranger in the hand of the Lamb,
12:11and he reached his people at sea,
12:19and made them stronger than their enemies,
12:24the King's strength and deliver the King,
12:32and put his people at sea,
12:34and led unto him with his promise,
12:40and sent him for his honor,
12:46and held on whom he had chosen,

17:35The Acts of the Apostles, chapters 21 and 22
17:42As Paul was about to be taken into the barracks, he said to the commanding officer,
17:48May I say something to you?
17:51The officer replied, Do you know Greek?
17:55Then you're not the Egyptian who started the rebellion and led the 4,000 men of the assassins into the
18:02wilderness some time ago.
18:05Paul answered, I am a Jew from Tarsus in Cilicia, a citizen of an important city.
18:14Please allow me to speak to the people.
18:20When the commanding officer had given him permission, Paul stood on the steps and gestured to the people with his
18:27hand.
18:30When they had become silent, he addressed them in Aramaic.
18:35Brothers and fathers, listen to my defence that I now make to you.
18:41When they heard him preach in Aramaic, they became even quieter.
18:49Then Paul said, I am a Jew.
18:52I was born in Tarsus in Cilicia, brought up in this city,
18:57educated with strictness under Gamaliel according to the law of our ancestors,
19:03and was jealous for God, just as all of you are today.
19:09I persecuted this way, even to the point of death,
19:15tying up both men and women, and putting them in prison,
19:19as both the high priest and the whole council of elders can testify about me.
19:27From them I received letters to the brothers in Damascus,
19:31and I was on my way to make arrests there and bring prisoners to Jerusalem to be punished.
19:38As I was on my way and nearing Damascus about noon,
19:42a very bright light from heaven flashed around me.
19:47I fell to the ground and I heard a voice saying to me,
19:50Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting me?
19:55I answered, who are you, Lord?
19:59He said to me, I am Jesus the Nazarene, the one you are persecuting.
20:07Now those who were with me saw the light,
20:09but they did not understand the voice of the one who was speaking to me.
20:15So I asked, what should I do, Lord?
20:21The Lord said to me, get up and go into Damascus,
20:25and there you will be told everything that you have been designated to do.
20:31Since I could not see because of the brilliance of that light,
20:35I came to Damascus led by the hand of those who were with me.
20:41A man named Ananias, a devout man according to the law,
20:46well spoken of by all the Jews who lived there,
20:49came to me and stood beside me and said to me,
20:53Brother Saul, regain your sight.
20:57And I looked up and saw him.
21:00He said, the God of our ancestors has chosen you to know his will,
21:06to see the righteous one and to hear a command from his mouth,
21:11because you will be his witness to all the people of what you have seen and heard.
21:19Now, what is it you wait for?
21:22Get up, be baptized and have your sins washed away.
21:25Calling on his name.
21:31When I returned to Jerusalem and was praying in the temple,
21:35I fell into a trance and I saw the Lord saying to me,
21:39Hurry, get out of Jerusalem quickly,
21:42because they will not accept your testimony about me.
21:47I replied, Lord, they themselves know that I imprisoned and beat those in the synagogues who believed in you.
21:57When the blood of your witness Stephen was shed,
22:00I myself was standing there approving and guarding the cloaks of those who were killing him.
22:08They said to me, go, because I will send you far away to the Gentiles.
22:15This is the word of the Lord.
22:18Thanks be to God.
22:25Collect for Peace
22:28O God, who is the author of peace and lover of concord,
22:32in knowledge of whom stands our eternal life,
22:36whose service is perfect freedom,
22:39defend us, your humble servants,
22:41in all assaults of our enemies,
22:43that we, surely trusting in your defence,
22:48may not fear the power of any adversaries.
22:51Through the might of Jesus Christ, our Lord.
22:55Amen.
22:59Collect for our safe preservation.
23:03O Lord, our Heavenly Father,
23:05almighty and everlasting God,
23:07who has safely brought us to the beginning of this day,
23:11defend us in the same with your mighty power
23:14and grant that this day we fall into no sin,
23:19neither run into any kind of danger,
23:22but that all our doings may be ordered
23:25by your governance
23:27to do always that which is righteous in your sight.
23:32Through Jesus Christ, our Lord.
23:35Amen.
23:39Lord, let me accept calmly
23:41all that this day might bring me,
23:44and let me devote myself completely
23:47to your sacred will.
23:50Direct me and help me
23:51each hour of this day.
23:54Control my thoughts and feelings
23:56in all my deeds and words.
23:59When unpredictable circumstances arise,
24:02do not let me forget
24:04that everything comes from you.
24:07Lord Jesus, Son of God,
24:10it is better not to live
24:12than to live without you.
24:14I thank you, God,
24:15for the gift of this new day
24:17and for all the good deeds
24:19you will help me do today.
24:23Holy Spirit, help me to dedicate this day
24:27to my Lord and Saviour.
24:30Teach me to be just
24:31toward my brother and sister,
24:34never to provoke wrath or cause sorrow.
24:38Control my will and teach me to pray,
24:41to believe, to hope, to suffer,
24:45to forgive and to love.
24:48Amen.
24:53We pray for the work
24:54of your faithful servants
24:56throughout the world, Lord.
24:59Lord, in your mercy,
25:01hear our prayer.
25:05May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ,
25:08the love of God,
25:10and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit
25:12be with us all today
25:14and for evermore.
25:16Amen.
