00:00Good morning. It will feel much cooler out there than it has been done through much of this week for
00:05many of us with temperatures down in low single figures overnight last night.
00:09But there will be plenty of warm sunshine through this afternoon, particularly across parts of England and Wales, further north
00:15and particularly across the northwest of Scotland.
00:17There will be frequent showers through today, much lighter than they were through yesterday, with a push into more eastern
00:23areas by the end of the day.
00:24Some sunny spells still for these areas and plenty of sunshine elsewhere. It will feel warm in that sunshine across
00:30England and Wales, temperatures in the low to mid-20s in the higher teens as we look further north.
00:36But there will be quite a noticeable breeze across more north and western areas throughout this afternoon and into this
00:43evening.
00:43We hold on to dry weather overnight tonight, a little bit of cloud coming and going across more southern areas,
00:48perhaps some mist and fog developing as well by Sunday morning.
00:52So another quite chilly start to the day for the time of year, with temperatures in single figures to start
00:58the day on Sunday.
00:59But once again, the sunshine will get to work pretty quickly, so it's not going to feel too bad once
01:03you get up, I expect.
01:05Many towns and cities still in double digits. It's really where you'll notice that chill.
01:09Now, the cloud will thicken from the south and west throughout Sunday.
01:13That's as this area of low pressure is set to arrive later on Sunday.
01:16But for much of the day, it will actually be pretty dry and quite sunny too.
01:21Still feeling very warm in the sunshine as well across the south, with southerly winds starting to push in here.
01:27Still quite a fresh feel, though, across the very far north.
01:30So high teens, but probably a bit of a warmer day across more southern and eastern areas of Scotland on
01:36Sunday,
01:37compared to Saturday temperatures climbing towards the higher 20s across some southern counties of England.
01:42Very little rain expected through much of this weekend.
01:47But that is set to change as we head into the start of next week, through the first full week
01:52of August,
01:53as low pressure is going to move in.
01:55We've not seen an area of low pressure in a little while, and it will stay with us through the
01:59first part of next week,
02:01bringing with it some quite persistent rain to more northern areas.
