00:00Hello there, good evening. High pressure continues to build over the weekend, so if you are stuck
00:05under the showers this afternoon, well the good news is some drier, more settled weather
00:09is on its way. For a time though this evening, those showers are set to continue, but as
00:14I say, as high pressure continues to build, we'll see fewer and fewer of those showers
00:18becoming mostly confined to northern parts of Scotland through the early hours of the
00:22morning. Elsewhere, it should be a mostly dry night, a mix of cloud, also some clearer
00:26skies, much lighter winds. Most towns and cities reaching around the low double digits, but
00:32actually under clearer skies. In rural spots, temperatures could push down to around the
00:37mid-single figures, so a bit of a cooler, fresher start for these areas.
00:41Now as we head into Sunday, like I say, some clouds, some remaining showers just across
00:46the far north of Scotland, eventually clearing their way southwards, allowing plenty of sunshine
00:50across Scotland by the afternoon. We do have this wedge of cloud that stretches across northern
00:55central areas of England, parts of Wales as well. It could be thick enough to produce a very odd
01:00light shower, though you'll probably be quite unlucky if you catch one. For most, it will be
01:04dry, settled, plenty of bright, if not sunny spells, though likely a bit more cloud around compared to
01:09what we had this afternoon. Feeling warm where we do see any brighter spells, particularly in the
01:14southwest, north Devon coasts, we could potentially see temperatures of around 25 to 26 degrees Celsius.
01:20And also across western areas of Scotland, a much warmer day ahead. This is temperatures
01:25compared to 24 hours before, so Scotland, many western areas, northern Ireland seeing a much
01:30warmer day ahead. Now as we progress through into the evening, so plenty of late evening sunshine to
01:36come, and then once again we'll see a fairly similar night, light winds, a mix of cloud,
01:40also some clearer skies. Across Scotland, much of northern England, northern Ireland, a cooler night
01:46compared to the one previous, so feeling a little bit cooler and fresher here. More clouds starting
01:51to push into Wales, southwest England, and here temperatures really won't drop too much. Some
01:56areas, particularly across western, southern parts of Wales, southwest England, some temperatures might
02:01not actually drop below the mid-teens, so a warm night to come here, but elsewhere a little bit cooler
02:07and fresher. Now for the start of the new working week, still a lot of dry, settled weather around,
02:13that's away from the southwest though. We're going to start to introduce a bit more cloud here, some organized bands
02:18of showers
02:19moving their way northeastwards, some of these may be heavy, and we might even hear the odd rumble of
02:24thunder, but once it does clear away from the far west, it will be brightening up into the afternoon.
02:30It's turning a bit breezy, particularly if you catch any of the heavier showers, but for most light winds
02:34and still lots of dry, settled weather around, temperatures around average for many areas, and the warmest weather
02:40once again across the far south of England and Wales, western Scotland as well, it'll be another warm,
02:45fine day ahead. Now for the rest of the week, it's a very similar pattern where we do still
02:51introduce systems from the west, so there will still be cloud, rain, showers at times, depending on where you are,
02:57but actually, we'll eventually start to see from Wednesday onwards, a slight warm plume building
03:02across the south, so temperatures will start to increase day by day, particularly across parts of the southeast.
03:08It's starting to look like it could potentially be very warm, if not quite hot, towards the end of the
03:13week,
03:13but of course, there's still a lot to play for before then, so if you want any updates on that,
03:18don't forget you can always subscribe.
