00:00Hello there, good morning. Things are set to turn gradually warmer this week, particularly
00:05across the southeast. It doesn't necessarily mean it's going to be dry though. We are expecting
00:09some cloud and some showers, if not some longer spells of rain at times this week. For this
00:14morning though, there's plenty of dry weather out there, though we do have this wedge of
00:18cloud crossing across Northern Ireland, North West Wales and Central and South East England.
00:24This will push its way northeastwards. We might hear the odd rumble of thunder or see
00:28the odd spark of lightning. Drifting its way northeastwards, but ahead and behind this
00:33area of showers, it should be mostly dry and settled with some sunny spells. But the sunshine
00:38gradually turning hazier as the day goes on in parts of the west, Northern Ireland, Wales
00:43and South West England could actually see some fairly low cloud, leading to some quite disappointing
00:48conditions around coastal areas. A few more showers just starting to push into western
00:52parts of Scotland, Northern Ireland, North West England by the end of the day. On the whole
00:57though, there will be lots of dry weather. Some bright, if not sunny spells, still feeling
01:02quite warm in the sunshine as well. Temperatures pushing into the mid-twenties.
01:07Now later on this evening, the showers across the north-west will gradually band together,
01:12bringing longer spells of rain, drifting their way northeastwards across Scotland. Lots of
01:16cloud and showers following on behind. And elsewhere across England and Wales, it's mostly
01:20going to be quite a cloudy night to come. Some of this cloud once again quite low, leading
01:24to some murky conditions first thing on Tuesday. But with the added cloud, it is going to be
01:29a warmer night for most. Temperatures not really dropping much past the mid-teens across
01:34parts of the south. And then Tuesday overall looks like a slightly more unsettled days compared
01:40to the weekend that we've just had. Spells of rain clearing Scotland, but lots of cloud
01:45and some showers pushing into western Scotland into the afternoon. A fair amount of cloud and
01:50some rain pushing into parts of the west. This likely turning heavy by the end of the day
01:54across parts of Wales and possibly parts of Devon and Cornwall. The best of the brightness
01:59likely across the very far east of the country, where it still will be warm in light winds.
02:04Temperatures widely in the low twenties, but the highest temperatures across the southeast.
02:09Highs reaching around 26 degrees Celsius in London.
02:13Now for the rest of the week, it's quite a similar picture. There will be some cloudy skies
02:18at times, some rain, some showers, hopefully some brighter interludes as well. But as I
02:23mentioned earlier, the temperatures are going to be increasing day by day, especially across
02:27the southeast. This is where high pressure is starting to build this week and we start
02:32to bring in this slightly warmer plume of air here as well. So potentially some very warm,
02:37if not quite hot weather towards the end of the week. However, this may spark off some
02:42thunderstorms. So if you want a bit more information, don't forget you can catch our week ahead
02:46video later this afternoon.
