A disturbing incident has come to light from Vrindavan in Uttar Pradesh's Mathura district, where two youths allegedly misbehaved with young women performing the Parikrama by throwing water bottles at them while riding a motorcycle.

The incident was recorded on video by another group of youths riding behind the accused, and the footage later went viral on social media, prompting police action.

According to reports, a large number of devotees have been arriving in Vrindavan to perform the Parikrama during the ongoing Purushottam month. Amid the heavy rush of pilgrims, two youths riding a motorcycle allegedly targeted young women walking on the Parikrama route and threw water bottles at them.

The entire act was captured on camera by another youth travelling behind them on a motorcycle. After witnessing the incident, the individuals recording the video reportedly stopped the accused and reprimanded them for their behaviour.

The viral video has triggered widespread criticism on social media, with many demanding strict action against those involved.

Taking cognisance of the video, Vrindavan Police have launched an investigation and begun efforts to identify the accused. Police officials said the youths seen in the footage are being traced and that strict legal action will be taken once they are identified.

Authorities have appealed to the public to maintain decorum and respect religious devotees visiting the holy town. Further investigation into the matter is underway.
