00:00That's what happens when you capitalize on all of your chances!
00:03Oh wow, someone just got turned into a hashtag!
00:07Welcome to Mojo Plays, and today we're taking a look at the 10 best characters to play as in Street
00:13Fighter VI.
00:14Before we begin, we publish new videos all week long, so be sure to subscribe to Mojo Plays and ring
00:20the bell to be notified about our latest videos.
00:23M. Bison
00:34It is honestly no surprise that M. Bison is on this list.
00:38For decades, this guy has been a nightmare to fight against, as his attacks inflict a ton of damage.
00:44Well, here in Street Fighter VI, he's not that different.
00:47If anything, he's probably an even greater threat than ever before.
00:51So many of his attacks string together so well, and have such a significant frame advantage, that it's hard to
00:58punish him at all.
00:58He can whiff, he can hit a blocking opponent, it doesn't matter.
01:02It doesn't matter!
01:04You get very small windows to counter that it can feel like you just have to sit there and suffer.
01:10Contain your rage and follow my orders.
01:15Terry Bogard
01:16Come on, get ridden!
01:17Much like M. Bison, Terry boasts an incredible toolkit that constantly inflicts pressure on the opponent.
01:23Those who have mastered Terry's moveset can easily find a flow state, as his attacks are super easy to string
01:29together, and deal a ton of damage in a short amount of time.
01:33Even if the opponent is blocking, Terry can quickly deplete his foe's stamina, enough to get them to burn out.
01:39Once that happens, the fight is practically over.
01:42Terry can put on the most ridiculous combo possible, and end the fight in a matter of seconds.
01:48Terry wins!
01:53Cammy
01:57Though she isn't a beefy powerhouse in the same way as Terry or M. Bison, Cammy has become a favorite
02:03in the competitive Street Fighter scene, and it's not just because of those chiseled abs.
02:08Cammy excels greatly in speed and maintaining control of the fight.
02:13Whereas most of the cast may struggle in punishing whiffs or avoiding projectiles, that's pretty much her bread and butter.
02:19And if she's fighting someone who depends greatly on maintaining distance, she can close the gap at a moment's notice.
02:26In other words, matchup matters greatly when Cammy is involved.
02:30Something's in this.
02:32Cammy wins!
02:37Guile
02:37Guile has frequently been at the top of numerous Street Fighter-related tier lists.
02:42This guy has been known to be the tank of the franchise, and in Street Fighter VI, the story isn't
02:47all that different.
02:48His sonic booms are still a bit tumultuous to avoid, and even if you choose to block them, it gives
02:54Guile enough time to rush you down.
02:57Somersault Kick still covers a wide amount of space, regardless if your opponent is grounded or in the air.
03:02Like we said, he is the tank of the franchise.
03:05He has high defense, high offense, and very little tradeoff for both.
03:16I lost a close friend in the process, but I also helped take down a gigantic criminal organization.
03:23Rashid is among the most unpredictable fighters to ever grace the world of Street Fighter.
03:29He was already a threat in Street Fighter V, and he is once again a major threat in Street Fighter
03:34VI.
03:35It's the same story as before.
03:37Great mix-ups, exceptional movement and control over the stage, and most importantly, aggressive corner tech.
03:44The second your back is against the wall, Rashid owns you.
03:49His projectiles and special moves work together so well that you can find yourself in a seemingly never-ending combo.
03:55And since you'll be stuck in the corner, he can just keep rushing in for more and more and more
04:01follow-ups.
04:02Ryu
04:02Let us begin.
04:04It's almost a shocker to see Ryu be considered by many to be a high-tier fighter.
04:09Despite being the face of the franchise, he's only been a threat in only a small handful of Street Fighter
04:15titles.
04:16But in Street Fighter VI, it took a few patches and meta changes for him to become a much more
04:22well-rounded and intimidating opponent.
04:25He has his iconic Hadouken, of course, but his moveset here gives him plenty of options in maintaining defense, countering
04:33aerial moves, keeping pressure up, and inflicting tons of damage with a few moves.
04:37Now, if only Capcom can keep him this way from this point forward.
04:46JP
04:51JP is perhaps the biggest monster when it comes to zoning in Street Fighter VI.
04:56He is practically the zoner to end all zoners.
05:00JP can create rifts from across the screen, forcing his rivals to either play it safe and wait, or attempt
05:07to psych him out and hope he whiffs.
05:09Even if you manage to close the distance, you better hope your JP opponent isn't super great at parrying or
05:16blocking because JP has many different attacks that make for great, speedy reversals.
05:21Not only that, but those reversals may knock you back to the other side of the screen.
05:26Yeah, fights against JP may get repetitive.
05:29Ed
05:29Let's go! Ring the bell!
05:32I'll take on all of you!
05:34I won!
05:35Fight!
05:36When it comes to the competitive scene of Street Fighter VI, Ed has become such a recurring character that it's
05:42caused some to become annoyed with his existence.
05:45Some have gone so far as to claim he's broken.
05:47The reason for this is because the amount of range he boasts thanks to his flicker jabs.
05:53With this mechanic, Ed can make safe pokes from a few feet away, thus opening his opponent up for rushdowns
05:59when hit.
06:00This playstyle can make it a bit weird for rivals to approach Ed, as you'll constantly be guessing whether Ed
06:06will attempt a distant poke or a quick rushdown.
06:10Let's go! I didn't hear any bell!
06:14Sagat
06:14At times, those seeking strength sought him out and trekked deep into the mountains.
06:22Yeah, Ed isn't the only fighter to get safe pokes. Sagat feels like he was ripped straight from the original
06:28Street Fighter with how borderline unfair he can be.
06:31All of his attacks are so safe on block and can reach opponents from a long distance that you have
06:36to be on guard for almost the entire fight.
06:39No, you're not allowed to play the game.
06:42You got hit with Tiger Knee while Sagat has several bars of meter to exploit.
06:46You're done for. Prepare yourself for the beating of a lifetime. Well, unless you're playing against our final entry here.
06:54If you love games, be sure to check out WatchMojo's new game, Terrible Influence.
06:59Just launched for purchase at TerribleInfluence.com.
07:02Terrible Influence is a satirical board game about the dark side of fame from the writer of the most popular
07:07girls in school and us, WatchMojo.
07:09Boom.
07:10I can make an apology video.
07:12Oh, you so would.
07:13Click on the link in the description to check out the game and be the first to play Terrible Influence.
07:19Mai Shiranui.
07:23Out of one, fight!
07:26Fighting games have long suffered from the trope of guest character is either the best or worst on the roster,
07:31and Mai is a prime example of being the absolute best.
07:35She's got the tools to zone opponents and keep them at bay thanks to her fans.
07:40And if her rival is getting too close for comfort, she has enough moves to bum rush and deal lethal
07:46amounts of damage.
07:48The amount of utility she has is crazy.
07:51So it is no wonder why she always makes frequent appearances across various tournaments.
07:56By the way, EVO Japan, Grand Finals for Street Fighter VI, was freaking insane.
08:03Who do you main in Street Fighter VI?
