Hyderabad Advocate Dies After Suspected Targeted Vehicle Hit Amid Waqf Land Dispute Allegations

Tension gripped parts of Hyderabad after advocate Khaja Mohiuddin of Masab Tank died following a suspected targeted vehicle attack, with police probing possible links to an ongoing Waqf land dispute in Malakpet.

According to sources, investigators have collected CCTV footage connected to the incident and formed special teams to trace and arrest the suspects, who are currently absconding.

Following the advocate’s death, his son Farhan made serious allegations while speaking to the media.

Farhan claimed that this was the sixth attack on his father and alleged that Khaja Mohiuddin had been fighting legal battles for several years to protect Waqf Board properties from alleged encroachments.

He accused Nawab Mujahed Alam Khan and Nawab Mahboob Alam Khan of illegally occupying Waqf land and constructing educational institutions on the disputed properties. According to Farhan, his father had filed multiple court cases challenging the alleged encroachments despite receiving repeated threats.

Farhan further alleged that one of the accused had visited their office nearly six months ago and directly threatened him. He also claimed that the family’s office premises had been attacked several times in the past.

Expressing fear for the family’s safety, Farhan said that if anything happens to him or any family member, the individuals named by him should be held responsible.

He appealed to the Telangana government and Hyderabad Police to provide immediate security protection to the family following the incident.

Hyderabad Police have registered a case and launched a detailed investigation. Authorities said all possible angles, including the alleged Waqf land dispute connection, are being examined.
