Man Dragged 500 Metres on Moving Car After Money Dispute in Mysuru

A shocking incident was reported from Karnataka’s Mysuru where a man was allegedly dragged for nearly 500 metres on the bonnet of a moving car following a dispute over repayment of money.

The dramatic incident, which was caught on camera, took place on the busy stretch from Kuvempunagar Police Station road to the Sub-Registrar’s Office near Andolana Circle.

Videos circulating on social media show a man clinging to the bonnet of a red Maruti Suzuki Baleno while the vehicle speeds through the crowded road.

According to preliminary reports, the dispute involved two men identified as Mahadev and Dhananjay. Police said Mahadev had allegedly lent money to Dhananjay and approached him seeking repayment.

An argument reportedly broke out between the two, following which Dhananjay allegedly attempted to leave the spot in his car.

In an attempt to stop him, Mahadev allegedly jumped onto the bonnet of the vehicle and held on to it. However, instead of stopping, the driver allegedly continued driving at high speed with Mahadev hanging dangerously from the front of the car.

The incident created panic among motorists and pedestrians in the area, while videos and photographs of the stunt-like scene quickly went viral online.

Taking note of the footage, local police registered a case and launched an investigation into the incident.

Police officials confirmed that both parties are being questioned and CCTV footage along with viral videos is being examined as part of the probe.

Initial findings suggest the altercation was directly linked to a financial dispute between the two men. Authorities said further legal action will be taken based on the outcome of the investigation.
