A tense confrontation linked to a property dispute has surfaced in Bengaluru after a real estate businessman accused a woman and two men of threatening him inside his office and demanding ₹10 lakh.

The incident was reported under the jurisdiction of Kodigehalli Police Station.

According to the complaint, the accused allegedly entered the office of realtor Venkataraju in Sanjay Nagar and created a scene over a site-related dispute connected to Shivajinagar.

Police said the woman, identified as Sangeetha Ram, allegedly introduced herself as the head of Karnataka Yuva Sene and also claimed to be the president of a women’s organisation. She reportedly arrived at the office along with two men and allegedly threatened the businessman.

As per the complaint, Venkataraju had earlier entered into an agreement related to a site in Shivajinagar, and the dispute allegedly began over the same property matter.

The accused allegedly warned the realtor not to visit or interfere with the property despite the agreement being registered. They are also accused of threatening him with serious consequences if he continued his involvement in the site.

According to the complaint, the businessman was allegedly threatened with murder. The group allegedly warned that they could gather 15 to 20 people and attack him if required.

The accused are further alleged to have demanded ₹10 lakh from Venkataraju, telling him that payment would prevent further trouble.

The businessman also claimed that he was warned against approaching the police and threatened with another assault inside his office if a complaint was filed.

The entire confrontation inside the office was reportedly captured on CCTV cameras installed at the premises. Police are expected to examine the footage as part of the investigation.

A case has been registered at Kodigehalli Police Station, and further inquiry is underway. Police said all allegations related to the property dispute, extortion and criminal intimidation are being verified.
