00:01A 47-year-old man was represented by his lawyer in Campbelltown local court this morning
00:06where he faced three counts of murder.
00:09He was arrested at his Campbelltown home last night after his 46-year-old wife and two sons,
00:15aged 12 and 4, were found dead inside their home around 8pm.
00:20The man was represented by lawyer Jawad Hussain this morning,
00:23who said outside court that his client was distressed.
00:26We don't wish to comment on the proceedings.
00:30My client enjoys his right to the presumption of innocence.
00:33The man did not apply for bail and his case was adjourned until July 15.
00:38Meanwhile, back at the crime scene, police remained there,
00:40combing through evidence at that house which they say was a particularly violent scene.
00:45This person, this family was previously not known to us
00:49and I guess what this does is really highlight the scourge that domestic violence is across the community.
00:55To find out that this is happening in my mother's street, I can't believe it.
01:00And, um, it's, um, I don't know what to say.
01:05This is, it's just terrible.
01:06We absolutely heard nothing.
01:08It was just, yeah, it's just like a normal ordinary night.
01:10It's unbelievable.
01:12Shouldn't happen anywhere.
01:13Especially the kids.
01:15I'm devastated by this because I know that New South Wales police and domestic violence prevention centres
01:22have been putting enormous amount of resources and money and we were starting to see glimmers of progress.
01:28But then an event like this happens and it reminds you that there are violent people out there that need
01:34to be confronted.
01:35Police say they are still very much in the early stages of this investigation and they are still yet to
01:40determine an exact cause of death for all three victims.
01:43And meanwhile, the man will remain in custody until his next court appearance.
01:47Police say that there are no complaints.
01:47Police say no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no.
01:48Police say no to this, that's where you're not getting laid.
