00:02Suburban Sydney yet again bearing witness to another family destroyed by alleged domestic violence.
00:09To find out that this is happening in my mother's street, I can't believe it.
00:14I met the father and the two children. It was quite polite, a bit withdrawn.
00:19I'm a mum, so it's unbelievable. This street is very quiet.
00:26Police arrived at this Campbelltown property just before 8 o'clock last night.
00:31There they found the bodies of a 46-year-old mother and her two sons, a 12-year-old and
00:37a 4-year-old.
00:38All three persons sustained significant injuries and it was a particularly violent crime scene.
00:43The boy's 47-year-old father called Triple Zero himself.
00:48He was then arrested at the scene and charged with three counts of domestic violence murder.
00:53The ABC understands police have been told the man was a full-time carer for his sons who lived with
01:00developmental delays.
01:01We're not aware of any interactions with this male before and certainly not aware of any domestic-related incidents.
01:11The man did not appear in person when his case was heard in Campbelltown local court.
01:14He was represented by his lawyer who did not apply for bail on his behalf.
01:19It's pretty distressed at the moment. It's obviously a tragic set of circumstances.
01:24The violent crime has prompted more questions to the Premier about the state's domestic violence crisis.
01:30We'll look at it very closely. I'll try and do everything I possibly can to ensure we don't see repeats
01:36of this, but I can't promise it.
01:38Police are still trying to contact family members as they piece together what happened in the days and weeks before
01:44this tragedy.
01:45Police are still trying to help police as well as any other case wreckers.
01:47Police are still trying to approach their own children.
01:47ORI and I can't remember while I'm thinking of his children down at the same time.
