00:01Well, that 32-year-old man will be facing Campbelltown Local Court today in Sydney's
00:07South West, charged with three counts of murder, as well as a count of attempted murder after
00:15what police allege was that violent attack on members of his own family in Rosemeadow
00:23in Sydney's South West on Sunday morning.
00:26What we understand from police is that another one of those residents at the home, a 30-year-old
00:33man who we understand to be one of the brothers, was not only able to survive that alleged attack
00:40but was also, we understand, the one who alerted authorities to the scene.
00:46Now, police arrived on the scene at that residential home in Rosemeadow at about 1.30am on Sunday
00:53morning. They say that they first discovered the body of a 65-year-old woman before making
01:00their way through the home, finding a 64-year-old man having suffered severe blunt force injuries.
01:07We understand he was transported to Liverpool Hospital, where he later died. Police say they
01:13continued to move through the property, finding a granny flat at the back of that home. It was
01:18there that they discovered the body of a 25-year-old man. Now, it was that 30-year-old who
01:25we understand
01:26was able to survive injuries from that alleged attack and contact the authorities. Police will
01:32say it was at around 2.30am, so an hour after they were first called to the scene, that a
01:3832-year-old
01:39man arrived in a silver sedan. We understand that he was arrested at the scene. And what police will
01:45be alleging is that he effectively returned to the scene of the crime. Now, police say, even though it
01:52is very early on in their investigations, they do believe that all members of the family were living
01:58at that property at the time of that alleged attack. They say the family were not known to police prior

02:05the incident. They've also said that while their initial early investigations have led them to
02:10believe that a hammer may have been used in that attack, they say that there is, of course, the
02:16possibility of more than one weapon being used in that alleged attack. They say that some of the
02:21injuries are consistent with blunt force trauma, but there could have potentially also been a bladed
02:28weapon used in those alleged murders. Now, the 32-year-old man has been formally charged with
02:35three counts of DV-related murder and one count of DV-related attempted murder, and he'll be facing
02:41Campbelltown local court later today.
