00:06So over four years ago.
00:08Hey guys, it's Mian, and this is Beauty With Me.
00:11Last month, I took my bathroom from green, dimly lit hellscape to what is as close to a spa as
00:18I could possibly get it.
00:19And after seeing all of your comments, I decided to finally take a stab at my at-home beauty collection,
00:24which lives in a room in my apartment that has essentially become a giant closet.
00:31This video, though, is a little bit different for Beauty With Me.
00:34It's a two-parter.
00:35So this video, I'm going to show you guys my entire beauty collection, organizing it, getting it into a better
00:41situation.
00:42And then next week for part two, I'm going to turn this space into a functional room where I can
00:49edit, film my videos, have my beauty collection.

01:00Okay, so before we get started, let me show you what my stash currently looks like.
01:05So I have an Ikea Alex drawer.
01:08It's a nine-unit drawer.
01:09It holds a ton of stuff.
01:11It's very sleek.
01:12So on the top lives my giant, simple human mirror.
01:16And then resting on the top of the Alex drawer, there is a small acrylic tray that has all of
01:21my daily skincare.
01:22The first drawer has what was supposed to be like my daily go-to's.
01:28It's essentially become a dumping ground.
01:30Below is my drawer full of highlighters, bronzers, and blushes.

01:34It definitely could be in better shape.
01:36The next two drawers is dedicated to my eye products.
01:39So that's my eyeshadow palettes, my single shadows, my creams, my eyeliners, my liquids, all that stuff.
01:44As you can see, it's kind of a mess right now.
01:47My goal is to get it into a place where it's like organized by category.
01:50Next up is lipsticks and base products, which is kind of organized.
01:54It's basically separated by two sections.
01:57Foundations on the right, lipsticks on the left.
01:59The next two drawers are dedicated to my extras.
02:01So this is stuff that I love, love, love, love, love, but I'm currently using stuff so I don't want
02:05to put it onto my daily skincare shelf quite yet.
02:07It's also a place for me to keep all of the stuff that I want to try in the coming
02:11months.
02:12The second to last drawer has my travel makeup cases in it, all of my little sample size travel products
02:17that I keep for when I go on like quick trips.
02:19And then the last drawer has all of my face wipes and all of my tools that I use when
02:24I clean my brushes.
02:25All right, now that you've seen everything, let's move on to step one, which is cleaning.
02:29So after removing all of the product from the drawers onto the floor, I took some wipes and wiped out
02:37the entire Alex unit, including the trays that were inside it.
02:41I was surprised at how gross this was.
02:43I had the unit for, what, a year?
02:46There was a lot of like dust and gunk.
02:48Skincare products had kind of like leaked eyeshadows that had exploded in my drawer.
02:52So it was nice to give it like a good once over before organizing it and putting it back in.
02:57Then it was time for step two, decluttering.
03:01So I enlisted the help of my producer, Magel.
03:04Yay, Magel's here for moral guidance.
03:08We sat on the floor and organized like everything on the floor into little sections so that I could clearly
03:13see what I had in my stash so that we could start organizing it.
03:17We kind of split up the product into three sections.
03:20So stuff that I was keeping, stuff that I had to throw away for whatever reason.
03:24I don't know, some of them were expired, some of them were just straight up broken.
03:28Ah!
03:30It broke.
03:31And then the last section was stuff that I'm going to be giving away to my friends and family.
03:36Hand them to me so you don't somehow shatter stuff in there.
03:40You're right.
03:41Oh, that's okay.
03:42Ah!
03:44Is it dying?
03:45It's dying.
03:45This one's almost that I'm determined to use it all.
03:49Please hand them to me.
03:51Okay.
03:56Once everything was sorted into those categories, it was time to move on to step three, organizing.
04:02So I got these cute little acrylic trays from Amazon.
04:05These acrylic organizers that I got.
04:08A couple different sizes.
04:09Large size.
04:11This kind of like medium like pencil size.
04:13And then two kind of smaller sizes that I think will be good for like little knickknacks.
04:20And then things like the bombs nail polishes.
04:35It looks the same!
04:38No, it doesn't!
04:39How is it rainbow now?
04:48So I kind of changed up the order of my drawers this time.
04:52The top of my unit is going to be the same.
04:55It's going to have my skincare, my mirror, my brushes.
05:00The first drawer, instead of being like this random drawer full of my go-to stuff,
05:06I'm dedicating that all to foundations, concealers, and powders.
05:09The second drawer has the bronzers, the highlighters, and the blushes.
05:14The next drawer is where my eyeshadow palettes and then my cream and glitter eyeshadow pots live.
05:22Then the next drawer is more eye product, also single eyeshadows and eyeliners,
05:27but more of the stuff that comes in crayons or in tubes that have doe foots, like organized that way.
05:32And next up is an entire drawer dedicated to lip product.
05:35So, as you saw in my last setup, I basically just had one tray full of lipstick.
05:41Now, there are like little sections dedicated to different finishes and colors, which is a lot easier.
05:48The next few drawers are kind of dedicated to stuff that I'm holding onto, like for my mom or my
05:52sister, like extra storage.
05:55Not every drawer has like a bunch of stuff in it.
05:57That really was the goal, trying to get it to a place where I could still have more stuff coming
06:01in,
06:01but hopefully I'm still editing it out.
06:04Then, I have an entire drawer dedicated to all of my skincare and my haircare extras,
06:09like stuff that I want to try down the line, stuff that I love, that I want to keep for
06:14when I finish up what I'm currently using.
06:16And the last drawer is dedicated to my wipes, my travel, like skincare and makeup, and then my brush cleaning
06:22kits.
06:23Beside the Alex unit, I actually went to Ikea, got a couple of baskets.
06:27Before all of this, I was keeping my giveaway stuff and then my empties in like plastic and paper bags
06:34on the floor,
06:34and it looked hideous.
06:36So, I took the baskets, I put the bags full of the empties and the giveaway stuff into the basket,
06:42so it doesn't look like I just have trash on the ground.
06:46I think it looks a lot better.
06:49Okay, so that is it. My entire beauty storage situation.
06:54I personally really like it. I've been using it for a couple of weeks.
06:57I think it's much more organized.
06:58I feel like I have a lot more mental space to think about what I want to do with my
07:01looks
07:02because my stash is more organized and I'm not like sifting through stuff just to find like one color of
07:08eyeliner.
