00:00OK, hold on.
00:02We've got to lift this to fix it.
00:05There we go.
00:06We have to close both of them at the same time.
00:10We tried.
00:12Ta-da!
00:13Hey, guys.
00:14I'm Rae, AKA It's My Rae Rae.
00:16And you're here with Refinery29.
00:18And I'm going to show you what's in my beauty draws.
00:24I know right now it looks really nice, clean, and white.
00:27But this is actually the reality of my filming space.
00:32And it actually looks pretty good right now.
00:34You are in my beauty room slash office.
00:37This is where I film.
00:38This is where I edit.
00:40This is where I just play in makeup.
00:41And this is where I get massages.
00:44Oh, yeah, so this is my makeup table.
00:46It's a mess.
00:47This is my fan that I always have to have when I'm filming
00:50because, whew, Lord, I'm sweating right now.
00:54I'm hot.
00:54I don't know what happened after I had a baby.
00:56My hormones all jacked up.
00:57But, you know, I use my fan to help me out.
01:00My makeup slash skincare routine since COVID has changed
01:04in a way where I wear minimal makeup
01:07because I'm trying to, like, keep from breaking out.
01:09Even though we've been in quarantine,
01:10I feel like I've been breaking out more.
01:12And I thought I would break out less
01:13since I don't have to wear much makeup
01:15because I'm staying in the house.
01:16And this is what I call my baby hair vase.
01:20Literally all of my edge control.
01:23My dirty little edge brushes.
01:24You don't want to look at those because they look disgusting.
01:28And then I have my lotion because I always look ashy
01:32when I film in my videos.
01:33My followers always attack me for it.
01:35So I have to make sure I have lotion right on my table
01:37so I can get these ashy hands looking nice and moisturized.
01:42I have 10 beauty draws.
01:45So a little about my beauty draws.
01:47They're a mess.
01:48They need to be organized.
01:49I decided to go with this setup
01:50because I have way too many products.
01:53Usually the makeup draws are a bit smaller
01:56and I know how I am.
01:57And I needed larger, taller draws.
01:59And this is what I have right here.
02:01So it was perfect.
02:02All right.
02:03So this top draw is what I like to call
02:05just the random draw,
02:07where it literally has, like, makeup sponges, brushes.
02:10So one thing I have in my makeup draws
02:12that's kind of quirky and not really weird,
02:15but just I feel like the majority of people
02:17probably don't have is a makeup bib.
02:19You put it around your neck
02:21and it's supposed to, like, protect you
02:22from getting makeup all over your clothes.
02:24I have a larger one that comes all the way down here.
02:26This one's actually supposed to be for baby Zoe,
02:29who's my daughter.
02:30I give her her little makeup brushes
02:32when I'm doing my makeup so she can copy me
02:33and put, like, fake blush and highlighter on.
02:37I also have a lot of headbands in here,
02:39which I like to use to protect my baby hairs,
02:42you know, when I'm doing my makeup,
02:43because setting powder, bronzer, all that crap,
02:46highlighter, oh my gosh, all over the hair.
02:48And this literally saved me from all of that.
02:52After I use a product,
02:53usually when I open my draw again,
02:55I can't find the product that I put in the draw
02:57and I misplace it.
02:58And it's just, like, it's pointless.
03:00This is my foundation and concealer draw.
03:03And a little bit of, like, body shimmers
03:05and, you know, body foundation, all that good stuff.
03:11I'm gonna pull out some of my favorite foundations.
03:13One of them has to be the Hourglass Vanish Foundation.
03:17This foundation, if you have crazy oily skin like me,
03:20it will last all day.
03:21It's matte.
03:22It doesn't look cakey.
03:23Full coverage.
03:24It's the bomb.
03:25A product that I would recommend to people
03:27that they should always have in their beauty draw
03:30would have to be, for me, concealer.
03:32Oh, yeah.
03:34Juvia's Place Concealer.
03:35If you want to cover those dark circles
03:38and look flawless like you've been sleeping,
03:40this is the concealer you need.
03:42If I could describe my self-care routine,
03:44it would be very minimal, very quick,
03:47since I am a mom.
03:48It's probably, like, 15 minutes, so.
03:51And I'm okay with that.
03:52That's fine.
03:52These interesting things right here,
03:55they're child safety proof locks.
03:57This draw is the one I really need to focus on soon
04:01and clean out.
04:02These are bronzers, blushes, highlighters,
04:06and some of this stuff is probably expired
04:09and it needs to go, so we're not gonna talk about that.
04:12One of my favorite palettes, actually, right now,
04:14is Physician's Formula.
04:15It's beautiful.
04:16It has the blushes, the bronzers, the highlighters.
04:19As you can see, I kill these highlighters.
04:22Like, this is one of my favorite palettes right now.
04:24And also, this bronzing palette,
04:26which is from Essence.
04:27It's the matte bronzing powder.
04:29This baby right here, if you want to look nice and bronze,
04:32like you've been on vacation,
04:33but you've really been stuck in your home,
04:35binge-watching all your favorite shows,
04:37this is the palette that you need.
04:39Then this draw is all of my lashes,
04:42from affordable lashes to expensive lashes,
04:45dramatic, natural, lash glue, the tools.
04:49Anything that has, like, that pretty butterfly,
04:52demi-wispy kind of look,
04:53that's my go-to look.
04:56These are my eyeshadow palettes.
04:58We have so many palettes.
04:59One of my favorite palettes and brands,
05:02this is the Natasha Denona Safari palette.
05:05Look at this beautiful, the payoff, the colors.
05:09It is a pretty penny, but it's worth it.
05:12Now, on to the second row of draws.
05:15This is also another messy draw,
05:18but this has more, like, skin care.
05:20Like, we have the Supergoop SPF.
05:22I also have my favorite, some press-on nails.
05:26This is my little press-on nail draw.
05:28Before I film, I pop some press-ons on, like I did today.
05:32This is an amazing product.
05:33This is what I like to use to wash my makeup brushes.
05:37I do have skin care in my beauty draws.
05:39Not that much, because I'm very, like, limited when it comes to that.
05:42I'm very, like, particular because I have acne.
05:45So I have a few good picks, but for the most part,
05:48it's just a bunch of makeup.
05:51The One Size Go-Off Makeup Mist and the wipes.
05:55Listen, if you want your makeup to be removed in one swipe,
05:58this is what you need.
05:59It's no joke.
06:00This draw is also more press-ons.
06:03This is actually from a small black-owned business.
06:06It's called She's Pressed.
06:08Look at these nails.
06:09These masks are from Bare Minerals.
06:11These are the Green Tea Herbal Eye Mask.
06:13Helps with the blood flow.
06:14Helps you look alive and awake.
06:16As far as my skin care routine, I feel like I take it more easy.
06:20I don't use too many products, but I do try to give my skin, like, that TLC.
06:25This is actually one of my favorite draws,
06:26because I really love setting powders, because my skin is so oily.
06:29And one of my favorite setting powders is from the Laura Mercier.
06:32And then my other all-time favorite setting powder, if you do not have this powder,
06:37is the Dermablend Professional Illuminating Banana Powder.
06:41This powder will have your makeup set all day, all night.
06:46You could even fall asleep in your makeup, and it'll probably still look like you just applied it.
06:49So we have to talk about this beauty right here.
06:52The most extra item in my beauty drawer would have to be this setting powder from La Mer,
06:58and it's really expensive.
07:00I think this cost about $150, and I still wonder why, till this day,
07:05did I spend that much on this.
07:07And there's so much left, and it's gonna stay that way until forever.
07:12I wanted to show you guys an oil that you need in your skincare arsenal.
07:17It's squalene oil.
07:19Oh, my goodness.
07:20It's 100% natural, and it literally is like a miracle oil for your skin.
07:25I have, like, extremely oily skin to the point where you could, like,
07:29scrape it off and fry some french fries with it.
07:31You wouldn't believe it, but oil combats oil.
07:34No, I literally go like this.
07:37But I look crazy, and my pillow gets all stained.
07:39But then for this draw, which actually has so much crap in it,
07:45because it's my hair draw with my tools, brushes, blow dryers, head scarves.
07:51We even probably have, like, a wig in here.
07:53It's a mess.
07:54So the draw actually broke because I stuffed so much crap in it.
07:58So we're gonna try to get to the bottom one.
08:00Not sure if it's gonna open.
08:01So the bottom draw is even more makeup palettes.
08:05A bunch of stuff.
08:06So, yeah, the options are endless.
08:09I actually do keep vitamins.
08:12Well, I wouldn't call it a vitamin, but I have CBD oil in my makeup draws.
08:16I don't know why it's in there, but, you know,
08:18I like to use it, like, right before I film just so I can be calm,
08:22relaxed, and, you know, my anxiety can settle, and I can do my thing.
08:26That is all in my beauty draw.
08:28I mean, that's not all.
08:29I have a bunch of other stuff, but you'd be here all day watching this video.
08:33It would probably be, like, 10 hours long, and we're not gonna do that.
08:35So I just wanted to show you some of my favorite products that I use on a daily
08:39and that I go for all the time anytime I'm working, filming a video, or going out.
08:44Yeah, this is it.
