00:02We are back with more bestsellers, this time of the drugstore variety, CVS, sent me a definitive
00:08list of their top 10 best-selling makeup items from 2018.
00:13Some of them I've tried before, some of them I've never tried, and I'm going to put them
00:17all to the test on my face today and let you know if they're really worth your hard-earned
00:22coin.

00:29Alright, so first up is primer, and we've got this little one over here, e.l.f.
00:33poreless face primer.
00:34I actually wasn't even aware that CVS stocks e.l.f., but they do.
00:39Just going to apply that all over my face, focusing on the areas that I get oily, and coincidentally
00:45the areas that I get the most oily are also where I have the largest pores, and smoothing
00:50that on rather than rubbing, but this is nice.
00:53It actually feels very lightweight.
00:54So next up is an item that you may not be surprised by, I definitely wasn't.
00:58This is the Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Eraser Dark Circles Concealer.
01:02This was actually the only complexion-perfecting product that was on that list of best sellers,
01:07so no foundation.
01:08This is going to be the only thing that I'm going to use on my face as coverage today.
01:14I've never used this.
01:16Everyone talks about it.
01:18So that is the coverage on, and I gotta say, I'm very impressed with the coverage that that
01:24Maybelline concealer in conjunction with that primer gave me.
01:27My skin looks really perfected.
01:30I'm going to move on to bronzer.
01:32So this is one of the best sellers.
01:34This is the Physician's Formula Butter Bronzer.
01:36It is a very nice, buttery, soft, very blendable bronzer.
01:40It smells so strongly of like suntan oil.
01:46It is very soft.
01:48If you drop this compact, you will break the bronzer.
01:52So I wouldn't say it's the best bronzer for travel, but it is really, really beautiful.
01:56It's very easy to apply without going overboard.
02:01Moving on to highlighter.
02:03So this is the L'Oreal True Match Lumi Glotion.
02:06So this is a highlighting primer, and you can use it as a highlighter on its own.
02:10I'm going to use it as a highlighter today because I already used primer, and I'm just
02:15going to take a bit of it in the back of my hand.
02:20And then tapping it onto my cheekbone.
02:22This is by no means a blinding highlight.
02:26So if you guys are looking for something that's going to really be metallic and intense, this
02:32is not the highlighter for you.
02:34This is a very, very natural look.
02:37If you don't rub it in too much, it does have this very wet dewiness because it's a liquid.
02:42On the high points of the face, I think it looks really pretty.
02:45So moving on to eyes, this is the only eye product that wasn't mascara on the best seller
02:51list.
02:52It's the Revlon Colorstay Eyeliner Pencil.
02:55I chose the blue shade just because, you know, do something a little fun.
02:58Really nice bright blue.
03:01I'm going to do a little cat eye or something.
03:04I'm going to put primer on one eye and then not prime the other eye because this is a
03:08Colorstay liner.
03:10So it is supposed to be long wearing.
03:11But I do want to see how it holds up with primer as well.
03:14And I'm going to do that tape thing that people do on Instagram.
03:20I'm going to put some tape on my eye.
03:23This is just like some very, I mean painter's tape.
03:26You can use medical tape.
03:27This is a bit of a harder pencil.
03:29I wouldn't say that it glides on super smoothly, but the color is pretty opaque.
03:33It's very dry, so I find it a little bit difficult to work with, although I really like the color.
03:38Alright.
03:39I like it.
03:40I think the color is really pretty.
03:41Again, the liner itself is quite dry, so you do kind of have to warm it up to work with
03:48it.
03:48So moving on to mascara.
03:50So this is one of the best sellers.
03:53This is the L'Oreal Voluminous Lash Paradise.
03:55I have the waterproof version because y'all know I only use waterproof.
03:59This is a very good mascara.
04:00I've used it before.
04:01Has a really great fat brush.
04:06Very very good for volume.
04:08I'm going to curl my eyelashes and then apply it.
04:11I am going to apply some false eyelashes.
04:15I know I never do that.
04:16It's just one coat will do.
04:20My eyelashes are really sparse and thin.
04:24So mascara like these are nice because they do give me a lot of volume, definition.
04:31Cool.
04:32So one layer on and I'm going to put some eyelashes on.
04:35These are the Ardell Demi Wispies.
04:39Very very popular eyelashes.
04:41They give you that glam look, but they're not too crazy.
04:43I'm going to lay that onto my eyelid.
04:52I'm going to blend the eyelashes into my natural eyelashes with the mascara again.
04:59These are pretty intense eyelashes.
05:02All right.
05:02So that is one eye done.
05:03I'm going to do this eye next.
05:06Ta-da!
05:07I'm going to move on to eyebrows next.
05:10This is the Wonder 2 brow gel.
05:12It's supposed to be kind of a semi-permanent brow color that lasts up to three days.
05:15I have used this before.
05:16I do think it works, but it is kind of annoying to faff around with it because it comes out
05:23with
05:23a little brush that you brush on and then a spoolie that you use to kind of comb through your
05:29brows.
05:30I'm going to apply it straight onto my eyebrows.
05:33And you guys know that I have micro-bladed eyebrows, so my eyebrows are already tattooed.
05:38I'm not going to go crazy with the color here.
05:41And I'm going to go ahead and sweep through with this spoolie now.
05:47It has quite good hold.
05:50I will say it's not the cleanest brow product, so we'll see on that one.
05:55Last but not least, lipsticks.
05:57This is the Maybelline Superstay Matte Ink, and this is a ridiculously long-wearing lipstick.
06:04So I am going to go with Groundbreaker, which is a bit of like a bricky, burnt orangey, reddish shade.
06:14So as per usual, I'm going to kind of blend the edges with my finger just because y'all know
06:19I like that kind of look.
06:23So, I'm not going to let my lids go together because this formula, I don't run under this,
06:30but it's a little stickier than iron-er.
06:35Do not press your lips together before this is dry because it will stick.
06:41Not cute.
06:42I love this color with the blue eye.
06:45I almost forgot to set my work.
06:48So the final product is the NYX Dewy Finish Long-lasting Setting Spray.
06:55Let's give this a go. I've actually never used this.
06:59Mmm. Smells good.
07:02And that is the entire makeup look, so let me give you my initial thoughts.
07:06Gotta say, I really like it.
07:08I love the combo of the blue and the kind of brick red lip.
07:12Honestly, this concealer looks really good.
07:15I love it like all over the face.
07:17The only thing I'm a little bit on the fence about is eyebrows, but overall, really nice.

07:26Hey guys, I'm back with my baby, and oh my gosh, it is 1.13 in the morning.
07:36The makeup obviously has been on my face for a very long time, and skin looks really good.
07:42Normally I would be so oily at this time.
07:44Bronzer has faded some, but it still looks great.
07:47Highlighter's still there.
07:48Lip held up really well.
07:49Haven't reapplied since I reapply it after lunch.
07:51I'm starting to like the eyelashes, I gotta say.
07:55I got a lot of compliments in the eye look.
07:56But I will say, wear a primer under the eyeliner.
07:59But yeah, that's it.
