00:03There are a few things you need to know about me.
00:05One, I love Harry Potter.
00:07Two, I live for cats.
00:10And three, I have a ridiculously oily complexion.
00:14As you can imagine, the summer heat and I don't necessarily see eye to eye.
00:20Given that there are hundreds of products on the market that claim to cling to your face for hours,
00:26I decided to put them to the test, but not just running around the office or doing errands.
00:31I'm going to go to the beach, baby.
00:33Let's get started.
00:35First things first is foundation.
00:37I have this one from Kat Von D.
00:39I've heard rave reviews, never tried it myself.
00:41I'm using my beauty blender for this because I've been told that it is a very full coverage foundation.
00:47Actually, I put a very small amount and I feel like it's covering pretty well.
00:51I've got a little purple right there.
00:53Next up, I'm going to go in with this bronzer, which I'm very excited about.
00:57It's this James Reid Tantor bronzer.
01:00I'm going to kind of use it as a bronzer and contour powder.
01:05Feels good.
01:06It's blending nicely.
01:08Boom.
01:08I'm going to skip the highlighter in this palette today because I have this eight-hour highlighter from Urban Decay
01:15in the shade Fireball, classic shade.
01:18On my skin tone, it could almost act as like a rouge as well, but I'm kind of into it.
01:25I don't know if you can see this on camera, but it has this, I'm going to do the highlighter
01:29bobble.
01:32This is a beautiful highlighter, but is it going to last eight hours?
01:35I don't know.
01:37I guess it's eyeliner time.
01:38I'm going to go with the classic cat eye.
01:40I've been wearing it for years.
01:43Typically, eyeliner doesn't last on me all day if I don't put some kind of eyelid primer on.
01:48But since I want to test it out on its own and see how it does, I'm going to wear
01:52it on my eye solo on the right eye.
01:56And on the left eye, I'm going to use a little bit of primer.
01:59So we'll see at the end of the day which one worked the best.
02:02So next up, mascara.
02:03Got this waterproof one from Almay.
02:06Never used it before, so we'll see.
02:08It's a little bit chunky, but I think that a few clumps kind of gives the lashes a bit more
02:14volume.
02:16Final step in the makeup is lipstick.
02:19In my opinion, the best part right after highlighter.
02:24This lipstick doesn't have any numeric hour long claims, but it is supposed to be comfortable and long wearing.
02:31I'm into it.
02:31So we're going to go to the beach now and we're going to see how this works.
02:35I'm going to walk around the sand.
02:37I'm going to like splash in the water and we'll see.
02:40We'll check in throughout the day to let you know how everything's faring.

03:13That was a minute and 30 seconds of torture.
03:17Zach and I just did the cyclone.
03:20I'm exhausted.
03:20We were really babies about it.

03:23Oh, the foundation is looking really good.

03:26Highlighter.
03:26Liner is doing pretty well.
03:28The one that I did the primer on, perfect.
03:30This one has a little bit of creasage here, but I was literally like going like this the
03:36whole ride.
03:36Lipstick looks great and I had a lot of kombucha.
03:41I'm finally on the boardwalk.
03:43I'm going to have an ice cream cone right now to see if this lipstick holds up.
03:48It's been doing really well so far.
04:00It's like melty vegetable.
04:01We can eat it.
04:03How's your lipstick holding up?

04:06It's pretty incredible.
04:08It's still there.
04:10Lipstick looks good.
04:11Wearing a little bit on the inside as expected, but everything, it feels really good.
04:15It's very good.
04:16Other makeup looking these.
04:33Hey guys, it's about 3.30 and I think the makeup looks pretty good.
04:39The foundation is holding up in most areas of my face, especially around my cheek.
04:42I will say it is breaking up a smidge around my nose where I get the most oily.
04:47It's pretty normal though.
04:48By like six hour marks, doing pretty well.
04:50Liner is looking alright.
04:52Smudging a little bit over here where I didn't use the primer, but overall it looks pretty good.
04:56I'm not getting a lot of like smudging underneath the eye, which is really great.
04:59Lipstick looks pretty awesome.
05:02Highlighter is faded, but still looking okay.
05:06Bronzer looks good.
05:15We are back in the office.
05:17It's around 6.30pm, so I've had this makeup on for a little over nine hours.
05:23Overall, I think the makeup did hold up really well.
05:26The foundation is starting to let a little bit of oil through now.
05:29I would give it a little blot.
05:32Lipstick though, last but not least, looks so good.
05:35But I cannot believe this stayed on.
05:36The liner held up way better with the primer.
05:40The mascara didn't really flake or smudge that much at all.
05:43And I was like on that rollercoaster tearing up a little bit.
05:47And the highlighter, I don't know, is it still on?
05:49We have confirmation from my producer that there is a little bit of the color coming through.
05:54So, nine hours definitely beat the eight hour claims in that highlighter.
05:59The bronzer blended really nicely.
06:00Really good.
06:01The only thing that I think I would definitely do is I would always wear a primer under the eyeliner.
06:08That's what I always do.
06:09And the foundation, I think I would give it a little powdering through the T-zone.
06:13Or maybe stick a mattifying primer underneath it.
06:17Especially if I'm going to be out and about running around in sweltering hot weather.
06:21I think there were a few hits and misses here and there.
06:23But overall, I think a lot of this makeup really performed.
