00:00Hey guys, it's Mian and this is Beauty With Me.

00:03Today I have three metallic liquid lipsticks that I am putting to the test.

00:08I think they'd be perfect for any parties you're going to,

00:11perfect for the winter season, amazing for New Year's.

00:15So we have three different brands that we're trying out today.

00:17The first of which is from CoverGirl.

00:20These are the Melting Pout metallic liquid lipsticks.

00:24Next up we have these ones from Lottie London.

00:26They're called the Slay All Day liquid lipsticks in the metallic formulation.

00:31And finally we have these babies from Smashbox.

00:37I'm going to put all three of these lipsticks through the 12 hour wear test to see how they hold

00:42up.

00:43And you're coming with me.

00:52So I'm actually going to try on all three of these lipsticks right now,

00:55just so we can see how they apply the first impressions, the formula,

01:00and then I'm going to wear them for three consecutive days.

01:03And that's where we'll see how long they wear.

01:06So first up, Rockstar, CoverGirl.

01:08I actually love the combination of red lips and blue shadow.

01:12So this look is very me.

01:15Fuzzy, slanted applicator.

01:17You push the product out like this.

01:20It looks like these are going to be nice because you can kind of sheer them out

01:23if you want to wear them as a stain instead of just a full on metallic liquid lip.

01:27It's actually really easy to apply because the formula itself is very creamy.

01:32So it glides on really easily.

01:34It feels really good.

01:35It actually feels like balm.

01:37It doesn't have any like explicit long wear claims, but it is a liquid lipstick.

01:40So in theory, it should last a long time.

01:42I'm definitely getting metallic vibes here.

01:45It definitely comes off on your hands.

01:47If you were to kiss someone or like drink out of a coffee cup,

01:51it's not completely transfer proof.

01:54I'm into it right now, especially because my lips are very dry.

01:58But I have a few other colors here.

02:00We're going to swatch them all for you.

02:02And you can see which one you like the best.

02:05Next up, we have these lovely lipsticks from Smashbox.

02:09Now these lipsticks are supposed to last for eight hours.

02:13So we will see.

02:14I'm going to wear them for 12.

02:15So we'll see if we can stretch it a little bit.

02:18Right off the bat, I'm into this applicator.

02:21It has a nice tapered tip.

02:23It comes to a point.

02:24I think that that's going to be really great for getting along my lip line.

02:27It has a little bit of a reservoir tip as well,

02:30like right here where you can see there's a little bit of a hole,

02:32like a little divot, and there's product catching in there.

02:35I think that'll be nice for applying a nice smooth opaque layer.

02:38I love the color.

02:40I definitely see this metallicness,

02:43but I think it's a little less metallic in finish than the CoverGirl one that I just tried.

02:48I think in part because this one does dry down matte,

02:51whereas the CoverGirl one has more of a satin finish.

02:54I wonder if it's going to start to dry out my lips after a few hours of wear.

02:59Let's do a little test to see if it's completely dry.

03:04Nothing.

03:05I love that a lot of brands are coming out with metallic lipsticks that are in beautiful, really wearable colors.

03:11Last but not least, we have these fellas from Lottie London, the Slay All Day liquid lipsticks.

03:17They're supposed to be very long wearing.

03:19They are called Slay All Day.

03:21I have this shade.

03:22It's called Boy By.

03:24Ooh, it's very metallic.

03:26And then I have another shade called Shook.

03:30Am I going to be Shook by Shook?

03:33Getting 90s vibes from this.

03:34So I think I'm going to go with Boy By, which is this plum shade,

03:39just to keep it all in the same color family in terms of all the lipsticks that I'm wearing today.

03:44Very pigmented in one swipe.

03:47So right off the bat, this one feels drier than the other two,

03:51but nothing too crazy right now.

03:53I wonder if, you know, four hours down the road if it will start to crust,

03:58but it does feel really good.

03:59Out of all three, I think this one is the most metallic.

04:02Let's see if it will close my fingers.

04:07Nothing. Nada.

04:09I'm curious to see how this one wears.

04:11I'm wondering if it's going to get drying.

04:13Hopefully it won't, but so far I like it.

04:16I think it's really pigmented.

04:17I think it was easy to apply.

04:19So I guess only time will tell.

04:21Let's move on to the 12-hour test.

04:23Hey guys!

04:24I am wearing the CoverGirl metallic lipstick today,

04:28and it is around 9am, about to head off to work

04:31and wear this for a full 12 hours.

04:33So far, so good.

04:35The lipstick is looking great.

04:36I just put it on, so of course it is.

04:38It feels really good.

04:39I was so excited to have this lipstick on today

04:41because it has a slick, emollient, like, balm-like quality,

04:45even though it does have this beautiful metallic finish.

04:48So therefore, it's a little bit hydrating on my extremely chapped lips.

04:53So that's a plus.

04:55It is around 1pm.

04:57I just had a little bit of lunch.

04:58It's wearing a little bit in the center, but nothing too crazy.

05:02And I have something really fun and very seasonal to do.

05:06I have a gingerbread house!

05:09I just made my gingerbread house.

05:12It's dying a slow, slow death.

05:15I had some gumdrops and some gingerbread, and lipstick is holding up.

05:21Still feels really good.

05:22Still feels like balm.

05:23Like, I can go like this, and I can feel it, like, sliding on my lips,

05:26which is actually really nice.

05:27I think it's fading a little bit in terms of, like, the color.

05:30It definitely doesn't have as much of a metallic finish anymore.

05:33It's leaving a nice stain on my lips that I like.

05:36I'll check in with you guys at 5 o'clock, and we'll see how this fella is doing.

05:42It's around 5pm.

05:43I've been wearing this lipstick for quite some time now.

05:46I, at this point, it has faded a lot.

05:49It's feathering a little bit, which is as expected because I had a really big burrito for lunch,

05:54and I ate quite a bit of it, so it's kind of coming off.

05:57I really like it because it feels like lip balm.

06:00It kind of stains the lips, so I actually don't feel like I need to reapply it.

06:06But for the sake of this video, I will.

06:09It's around 9pm.

06:10I've been wearing my lipstick for 12 hours,

06:12and I've got to say I'm very impressed with how evenly and pigmented the stain is.

06:18In terms of the metallicness, it's definitely gone now.

06:21If you look at it, it's definitely more of a stain.

06:24It's really only got that metallic sheen once it's, like, freshly applied,

06:27and for a couple hours after that until it starts to wear off.

06:30But overall, I really enjoyed it.

06:32It definitely doesn't have the longevity of a true matte liquid lipstick.

06:36But that being said, I really enjoyed it, especially because it's super cold, and try outside.

06:40It was so nice to have a pigmented lipstick that wears and feels like lip balm.

06:47That's my two cents on this one.

06:49I've got a few more lipsticks to try, so stay tuned.

06:54I got to work a little bit early today because I have a lot of stuff to do,

06:57but I'm wearing metallic lipstick, of course.

07:01This is the Smashbox one.

07:03It doesn't feel drying yet.

07:05I'm excited to see how it wears.

07:07It's 1pm.

07:09So I've had a lot of tea.

07:11I've had some snacks.

07:12Some snacks.

07:14And it looks pretty much the same.

07:16It's cool.

07:17It kind of has a metallic-y, sparkly finish, which I really like.

07:20Good for holidays.

07:21That's exactly why I'm doing it!

07:24I didn't tell her anything about the video, so...

07:25I had no context, I swear.

07:27I'm wearing well.

07:28I'm going to eat lunch in just a bit.

07:29And then at my 5pm check-in, I will let you know how it stands up against food.

07:34It's 5pm.

07:34I just had lunch because I was just so accustomed to work, I forgot to eat.

07:41So I ate a very oily salad.

07:43And I don't eat salads gracefully.

07:46And the lipstick has come off.

07:49We'll see how it lasts until 9pm.

07:54I've been wearing this lipstick for 12 hours.

07:57Looks pretty good.

07:59Still has a metallic finish.

08:01I did reapply at like 5-ish.

08:04But it wore pretty well until I started to eat that really oily salad.

08:08But I'm going to do a little mistletoe test.

08:11She just wants the mistletoe.

08:14I just kissed my kitty a bunch and now I'm going to kiss Collin with some mistletoe.

08:22Nothing on the face.

08:27It's the final day of my lipstick challenge.

08:29I'm wearing the Lottie London metallic lipstick today.

08:32And I've got to say it feels really comfortable.

08:34I just put it on though so we'll see if it gets crusty or dry throughout the day.

08:37But so far so good.

08:39I actually have some exciting things planned today.

08:41I'm going to be hosting the second installment of our Harry Potter reread club.

08:47So we'll see how this lipstick wears through that and more.

08:50It's 1pm.

08:50I just had lunch.

08:51I had a giant bagel and the lipstick is still pretty even around the outside of my mouth.

09:02But definitely wearing in the center.

09:03And I don't know about you guys but I don't eat bagels in very dainty gentle ways.

09:09I kind of just go at it.

09:11So I think considering it held up pretty well.

09:15But I definitely want to reapply and see how the lipstick layers on top of itself.

09:21So I'm going to do that right now.

09:24It's starting to feel just a touch dry but nothing too uncomfortable yet.

09:30It's a little bit before 5 o'clock and I'm going to be heading out for the day soon.

09:35I haven't eaten anything since around 1, like when I had my lunch.

09:39So the lipstick has stayed on really well.

09:42I think that if you're not going to be eating anything really greasy,

09:44like a salad or the bagel or pizza, it will actually stay on really well.

09:49Like look at this.

09:50It did get a little bit crusty.

09:52Like the product was peeling a little bit toward the center between my lips.

09:56So I just took a tissue and blotted it away and then it ended up being fine.

10:01So that's one thing to note.

10:02It was a little bit uncomfortable.

10:04But all in all, it has worn well.

10:06So we're at Harry Potter Reread Club and I've been eating some of these cookies that my friend Carly made.

10:29It's like 11ish and this is the state of the lipstick now after having had pumpkin pie and more apple

10:37cider and the works.

10:38So it's on but definitely a stain.

10:42It's pretty much completely off.

10:44But I gotta say I'm very impressed with the way it wore.

10:48The liquid lipsticks tend to wear very patchy on me and end up getting really dry to the point where

10:53I have to use a wipe to take them off.

10:55But this one actually just like wore relatively evenly.

10:59I mean obviously you can see little bits of it.

11:02It's definitely not a lipstick to wear if you want it to last through something like ramen or pizza.

11:07It's like not gonna do it.

11:08But I like it.

11:09It was very comfortable honestly.

11:11And it was very easy to layer on top of itself.

11:15So definitely not.

11:16It's not the longest wearing but it's still a good one.

11:19And there you have it.

11:20Those are all three of the lipsticks put through the ringer.
