00:04I am wearing high-end makeup on one side of my face and drugstore makeup on the other.

00:22Today I have another high-end versus drugstore challenge.

00:27Last time I did this, I did it on cruelty-free makeup.

00:31I will link it up top for you guys to check it out.

00:33And this time I am doing vegan makeup.

00:35Vegan makeup is obviously makeup that doesn't include any ingredients that are animal byproducts.

00:39So some really common ones are carmine, lanolin, beeswax, some glycerins.

00:46I will list down below in the description bar a lot more information if you guys want to

00:50know more about it or things to look out for.

00:52A lot of those ingredients can show up on ingredients lists under different names.

00:56So definitely do your due diligence.

00:58All of the products on my face right now are vegan products.

01:01They are not necessarily from brands that are 100% vegan.

01:05Some brands have vegan products but not their entire line is vegan.

01:09So that is definitely something that I will note when I show you what the products are.

01:13But without further ado, let's get into it because I have a lot of makeup to put on my face.

01:18Alright, first things first foundation.

01:19I'm going to be putting the high-end makeup on the left side of my face and the drugstore

01:24makeup on the right side.

01:25I'm starting off with this foundation from Hourglass, it's called the Vanishing Stick

01:30Foundation.

01:31I'm going to be blending it out with this Real Techniques sculpting brush, which I know

01:35is technically for contouring but I like angled brushes like this for foundation.

01:46A lot of stick foundations have a circular tip and it's actually a little bit more difficult

01:51to get into like under your eye or around your nose.

01:54So this triangular tip is actually very practical.

01:56Alright, moving right along to this concealer by Urban Decay.

02:00It is the Naked Skin Weightless Complete Coverage Concealer.

02:03It is actually one of my favorite concealers ever.

02:06Urban Decay does have some vegan products including this one.

02:09But they're not completely vegan so definitely check their website.

02:14They have a whole list of all their vegan products that you can check.

02:17It is just very natural looking, it covers well, it never looks dry on the skin.

02:24I'm going to move on to base and concealer on the drugstore side.

02:28And I'm going to be using this foundation from e.l.f. It's the Flawless Finish Foundation.

02:36e.l.f. is completely vegan.

02:40I really like the finish of this foundation.

02:42Yes, it doesn't have great coverage but I feel like it makes my skin look very nice.

02:47It feels kind of like moisturizer.

02:49It's not catching on any dryness.

02:51I used a pretty generous pump.

02:54I feel like I'm just going to go in with concealer to get the rest of my blemishes.

02:58So for concealer I'm going to be using this fella from Colourpop.

03:02It's called the No Filter Concealer.

03:04It is $6.

03:06Colourpop is not 100% vegan but they do have a lot of vegan products and they have again

03:11on their website you can go take a look and it has all of the non-vegan products so you

03:15can just know that the stuff that's not on there is vegan.

03:18I'm using the shade Light Neutral.

03:22So that's the concealer.

03:23I like it.

03:24No complaints so far.

03:25It's nice.

03:25I think that it could have a little bit more coverage.

03:28It looks nice on the skin.

03:30In terms of a side-by-side I think that it looks pretty similar.

03:34So I'm going to move on to powder.

03:35On the high-end side I am going to be using the Cover FX Perfect Setting Powder.

03:41It's a loose powder and it has a cool like little stopper that keeps the loose powder from

03:47getting everywhere which I like.

03:53Boom powder is a fast step.

03:55No complaints.

03:56I think this powder is nice.

03:59So on the drugstore side though I'm going to be using this fella from Pixi.

04:03It is called the Flawless Finishing Powder and I have the translucent shade.

04:06It is sadly not loose like the Cover FX one.

04:09This one is a pressed powder so if you open it up it's there.

04:13It has a cute little tray underneath for your sponge.

04:22It looks the same.

04:24I think that the powder itself did bring down a lot of the dewiness of that foundation which,

04:30if you're not into that, maybe only powder your t-zone or very specific areas.

04:35Alright, so moving on to high-end contour and I always contour my face and I'm using this

04:40fella from Charlotte Tilbury.

04:42It's called the Filmstar Bronze and Glow.

04:43It's a good like go-to for me.

04:45I mean it's quite worn.

04:46I've used it many times.

04:48I love the contour shade in this.

04:50It's the perfect kind of ashy brown you can use to sculpt but you can also bring it up

04:54and use it as a bronzer too if you want and the highlight is also gorgeous.

04:57But Charlotte Tilbury is not 100% vegan so definitely do your research if you're going

05:01to look into stuff from her brand.

05:03That is a lovely lovely bronzer and I'm moving on to another lovely bronzer that I've used in

05:09another video.

05:09This is the Glamour Dolls Bitten in Bronze Matte Bronzer from their Lisa Frank collection.

05:15So Glamour Dolls is a 100% vegan brand so if you want to look for something from them,

05:22I would highly recommend checking them out.

05:24It's really easy to throw this in a makeup bag.

05:26It's super compact and tiny and it does the job, you know?

05:30Okay, moving on to blush and on the high-end side, I have this beautiful Love Flush blush

05:38from Too Faced.

05:39It's supposed to last for 16 hours.

05:42Look how pretty the embossing is on it.

05:45Wow, it's so gorgeous.

05:47Too Faced is one of those brands that does have vegan products but is not 100% vegan so

05:51this shade from this Love Flush collection is called Your Love is King and it is vegan.

05:57I'm going to go with a very light hand for this.

06:02That is the Too Faced blush and on the drugstore side, I'm going to use another elf product.

06:10This is their blush palette so it actually comes with four blushes.

06:15The palette itself comes in two shades, this is the deeper shade, it has some of these nice berries.

06:19I'm going to use this shade in the palette.

06:23It doesn't have a name but I will tell you that this entire palette, all four of them,

06:28is called the shade Dark.

06:35You can see a little bit of shimmer but once it's on the cheek it actually doesn't,

06:38it actually just ends up looking kind of similar to this Too Faced side.

06:42This whole palette is $6 so you get all four shades for $6 and you can obviously customize

06:46it and mix them if you want to do even more so it's a good bang for your buck.

06:50Finishing off the face, I have this Jouer highlighter.

06:54It is the powder highlighter in the shade Citrine.

06:56I've used these highlighters before, they are very beautiful, they have a very metallic finish.

07:02Jouer again is one of those brands that has vegan options, this powder highlight being one of them.

07:09You can sheer it out but if you want to layer it you can get it very metallic.

07:13Alright so next up is this highlighter from Pacifica, it's in the shade Ice Baby.

07:20Everything from the line is a vegan product.

07:22One thing that I will say about Pacifica is that there's not a lot of shades to choose from,

07:26so this is obviously a very frosty highlighter.

07:29I do not think it will work on deep skin tone so Pacifica please come out with more shades.

07:36I thought it was going to be super white and ashy on me almost but in the pan, super stark

07:42white.

07:44On the face, it actually has a lot of warmth to it.

07:48It has like some pinky golden shimmer.

07:50It's like one of those like shape-shifting products I feel like.

07:53You put it on, it looks so different from the way it looks in the pan.

07:56So I'm going to move on to eyes and I am obviously going to prime my eyes because

08:01you guys know that my eyelids are ridiculously oily.

08:06The primer on the high-end side is going to be the trusty Urban Decay Primer Potion.

08:15I'm going to be applying the ELF Eyelid Primer.

08:19This is the shade Pearl.

08:21It does have a little bit of shimmer which is not my favorite but I think it'll still do the

08:24job.

08:24Moving on to eyeshadow.

08:26I'm so excited.

08:28I have this beautiful palette from Charlotte Tilbury.

08:31It's called the Dolce Vita Luxury Palette.

08:34Charlotte Tilbury makes some of my favorite products.

08:36Yes, they are expensive but they do perform.

08:38Her matte lipsticks are amazing.

08:43This palette I actually haven't used before.

08:45I've used it for other eyeshadows but this one I haven't used and I'm very excited to use it.

08:49So I'm going to use this bronze shade all over the lid.

08:52It is very glittery.

08:53I think I'm going to put it on with a finger.

08:56I'm just going to do a sheer layer first and I'm going to put a little bit of this kind

09:00of

09:01browny burgundy shade in my crease.

09:10One little annoying thing is that glitter does kind of get everywhere so I'm going to

09:14pat a little bit more of it onto my lid so it's very, very impactful.

09:19So I do think that this palette shades are beautiful, a little bit difficult to control.

09:26I think that if I were to do it again I would do this burgundy shade into my crease before

09:31layering

09:32this bronze shade on.

09:34So I have my trusty Z palette here that I have used to take out all of my single shadows.

09:40So I'm actually going to be using these two shades right here.

09:43These are Colourpop shadows.

09:45This is the shade Board Shorts.

09:48And this one's called Lil Boat.

09:50I'm going to be doing for this right eye what I didn't do for this eye which is I'm going

09:54to

09:54start with the matte shade in my crease before I layer the bronze shade on my lid.

10:00I know they are not the same.

10:02We did try our very best to find vegan matches for these.

10:06I do think that they do have very similar vibes.

10:09But I think once I have my lashes on and my eyeliner I think it'll look pretty similar.

10:15Well at least I hope so.

10:17Moving right along to eyeliner.

10:20I have another Charlotte Tilbury product.

10:22This is the Feline Flick Quick Fine Shodo Pen.

10:27I love anything that has like a cat related name.

10:29It's very very pigmented which I like.

10:32I hate when you have black eyeliner and it and you have to layer it to get the pigment.

10:36I'm just like I don't have time for that.

10:38I'm very surprised at how black it is.

10:40I feel like it's one of the darkest most like opaque black liners that I've used.

10:46I will say that I'm not a huge fan of felt tip.

10:49I do think it was easy to work with but I prefer brush tips.

10:53But I wanted to try out this one and I'm very impressed by how it's just like so jet black

10:58which

10:58I like.

10:59And on the drugstore side I'm going to be using another Pixi product.

11:03It's called the Lash Line Ink.

11:04In the shade Black Silk also a felt tip liner with a nice tapered end.

11:22I do think that the Charlotte Tilbury liner side is a jetter black.

11:28But the Pixi one is obviously black as well.

11:32The Pixi liner was really easy to use because it's slightly thinner than the Charlotte side.

11:38But I think all in all they look fine.

11:40We'll see how they wear though.

11:42So I'm moving on to mascara now which is sadly where I have to disappoint you.

11:47I couldn't get my hands on a vegan high-end mascara.

11:50I'm using the Pacifica Aquarian Gaze Water Resistant Long Lash Mascara for both my eyes.

11:56If you are looking for a vegan high-end mascara though try the Smashbox Full Exposure one.

12:02That one is vegan.

12:03So I'm just going to curl my eyelashes and apply this mascara.

12:06So this one does hold a curl.

12:08I don't think it holds a curl as well as some like very very waterproof formulas but it does.

12:13It is a very natural mascara as well.

12:16It does a good job at separating and defining lashes but it's definitely not going to volumize.

12:28All right mascara done and we are on to the final step which is lips.

12:32On the high-end side I have this lipstick from Illya.

12:35It is in the shade Tainted Love.

12:38So I again want to keep this look feeling a little bit more fresh.

12:40So I'm going to apply it to the left side of my face and kind of tap it out with

12:45my finger

12:46so it looks a little bit more diffused.

12:48I do really love this shade.

12:49It's nice like kind of dusty rose.

12:52Illya lipsticks are really lovely.

12:53They always have a lot of beautiful oils in them.

12:55They have a lot of organic options.

12:58I found a very similar match in the new Colourpop Luxe lipstick.

13:03This is the shade Still Crazy.

13:05It's also a dusty rose but these ones are more on the matte side.

13:08But I'm also going to apply this and push the color in with my fingers.

13:11I can see the finish difference.

13:13Like the Illya lipstick has a little bit more shine to it versus the Colourpop which has a little bit

13:17less.

13:18But I think when you tap it into the lips it gives like a nice flush of color that's not

13:21too over the top.

13:22This is the finished look.

13:24I wouldn't say it is the most natural look because I am wearing glitter on my eyes.

13:29But I do think it's fresher.

13:31The lip is very nice and pink.

13:33Now that I've been wearing the foundation a bit I do think that it looks even more natural.

13:39I don't know if this happens to you guys.

13:40Let me know in the comments.

13:41But when I first put my makeup on I do feel like it looks a little bit more like makeup.

13:46But as my natural oils kind of seep through a bit they it starts to look a little more natural.

13:52So I think my foundation looks good.

13:55Blush wise it looks nice.

13:57Contour is subtle.

13:58The eyes I know are definitely the I would say the point of contention here.

14:06The glitter I mean there's just no glitter on the Colourpop side.

14:08But I do think that they do have very similar tones and I like it.

14:13I like I like the look.

14:15So I'm going to wear this around for the rest of the work day.

14:19And I'm going to ask a few friends what they think.

14:23If they can tell the difference between the two sides of makeup.

14:26And then I'll report back.

14:51The foundation is like I like five dollars or something.

15:04Oh my god.

15:05Is the left high-end?

15:08Is that your final answer?

15:13You think this is drugstore and this is high-end.

15:16You think this is drugstore and this is high-end.

15:17Yep.

15:18You were right.

15:19You were actually the only person that got it right today.

15:23No way.

15:23Interesting.

15:24I'm going to pop this.

15:25I'm back.

15:26And it is almost the end of the work day.

15:28I've been wearing this makeup for quite some time.

15:32And let's take a look.

15:34The drugstore side of my face is a touch shinier.

15:37I will say that I think both of the powders controlled oil pretty well.

15:43Covered is definitely still higher on the high-end side.

15:45But the finish of the drugstore side I really love.

15:48And actually a lot of people that I asked today really liked the finish of the foundation on the

15:53right side.

15:53So go e.l.f.

15:54Highlighter-wise, I love them both.

15:58I can still see the highlight.

15:59I can still see the bronzer on both sides.

16:01Eyes, the Urban Decay primer seems to have worked a little bit better.

16:09I can see on the e.l.f. side that I'm getting more creasing here.

16:13The eyeliner is transferring a little bit to the inner corner of my eye.

16:17And the mascara, which I'm wearing the same mascara on both sides.

16:20It's a good classic mascara.

16:22I had a little bit of smudging under my eye earlier that I just like wiped away with a finger.

16:25But other than that, it's pretty good.

16:28Lip-wise, I think tapped into the lips, the two shades look pretty much identical.

16:35The ilia side, interestingly enough, made my lips feel a touch drier than the Colourpop side,

16:43which is interesting because the Colourpop side was more matte.

16:45Because the Colourpop lipstick was matte, it hung around longer than the ilia.

16:49Those are my thoughts.

16:50I liked it.

16:51I thought it was a good experience.
