00:00We have the privilege to be able to capture a lot of love on camera.
00:04Now, I want to be able to celebrate our moment
00:08the way we want to celebrate our moment.
00:10Honestly, where that is, it doesn't matter.
00:12Doesn't matter, yeah.
00:12Because we do it together, and that's what matters.
00:15Like, it really could be anywhere.
00:22I was going by to a camera store to pick up some film.
00:25I was a little frustrated with swiping.
00:27And when I saw you, I knew immediately that I had to know your name.
00:32Actually, I stopped working at the camera store right after that.
00:35So I was like, you want to be pen pals and drop a card?
00:38Just our short interaction and, like, talking to you,
00:41it felt like we had this uplifting energy
00:44that we were just transferring back and forth.
00:46I also remember just, like, thinking about your smile all summer, too,
00:49and, like, how it made me feel.
00:51You were the first person to say I love you.
00:53I remember you, like, making this video,
00:55and at the very end, you wrote a note that said I love you.
00:58The whole video, like, my heart was just, like, beating so fast.
01:00And then you said it was like,
01:02I want to say it, like, propelled us into the next phase.
01:05But it also was obvious, you know?
01:06I just had that mindset of, like, okay,
01:09please don't let this one word change things.
01:14Why do you want to get married, Louis?
01:16And why now?
01:17Like, why is now the time?
01:19I want to get married to you now, tomorrow, every morning.
01:25I knew we were going to be together for life.
01:27There's no other person I would want to share my life with.
01:30And, you know, we both know that it's beyond this time.
01:34I just thought it would be a great idea to go to Shane Company
01:37to check out bands and other jewelry accents together.
01:41As we embark now together,
01:43what do you envision for your dream ring?
01:46Something that's maybe on the simpler side,
01:49but still has sparkle, elegant, and a little unique flair.
01:53Seeing the sparkle in your eyes, it's nothing like being together.
01:57Just like everything that we do, we do together.
01:59What's your dream ring?
02:01Gold or platinum, simple, is kind of what drives me.
02:04It's a lot of fun to be able to choose something that's going to last forever.
02:13The challenge that we face, it's a challenge of being away from each other.
02:18Me living in the West Coast and you doing some work in the East Coast.
02:21The reason I wanted to move to New York was to pursue photography further
02:25and build my portfolio and just learn and absorb as much as I could while I was out there.
02:30The challenge of just being like, I can do this, you can do this,
02:34and having to remind ourselves every day that we got this.
02:36It's not easy.
02:38Living three hours, time difference apart,
02:40light in the connection and a subway ride away.
02:44What has been working for us is talking on the phone every day.
02:48Playing video games together from coast to coast has also been like a big part of the experience.
02:54Knowing that our relationship started off with us traveling and then knowing that we would support each other through any
03:00bits of it,
03:01that was just the momentum of what led to New York or what's going to lead to more.
03:05Getting your first taste of traveling, it really feels like, oh, it's not that far.
03:10Like, this is possible.
03:12It leads into us also feeling like the possibilities are endless.
03:19Do you have any examples of things that we would change from like a traditional wedding?
03:25Having our friends and family join us for a six-hour window to me just seems too small.
03:30So just creating something of our own is fun.
03:33Multiple-day festivities.
03:35I'm excited to figure out what are the elements that we can like tweak, you know?
03:40And throwing surprises in there.
03:42Giving your surprises.
03:44What like traditional aspects do you want to keep?
03:47I'm looking forward to what our cake would look like.
03:49Our dog would be like in the topper with us or something like, it would be so sweet.
03:53So I'm looking forward to like the little things like that.
04:00Where do you see us in five years?
04:02Moving somewhere.
04:04Honestly, where that is, it doesn't matter.
04:06Doesn't matter.
04:06It really could be anywhere.
04:08I feel like there'll be tangible growth.
04:10Maybe be a child in the next five years, yes.
04:14I just see a large backyard and there's a forest and a couple dogs.
04:19Because of where we are and what we can foster in that space.
04:24And so I'm looking forward to that part.
