00:00Welcome to American Family Care. The right care. Right now.
00:06I'm going to see if I were you. The right care right now. Can I help you?
00:09Yes, ma'am. Can you tell me if Dr. Blake Thomas works at your clinic?
00:13Uh, Dr. Blake is my one with AFC.
00:17Okay. Can you tell me if he was fired or did he quit?
00:21He left.
00:22Okay, he left. Thank you.
00:24You're welcome.
00:25Bye-bye.
00:26All right. Heads up, YouTube. The AFC American Family Care Urgent Care Clinic located in Cahaba Village near Mountain Brook.
00:38This is technically in Birmingham, Alabama.
00:43They have recently posted on July 10, 2023, a job opening for a physician in this location.
00:56Now, previously, this has been the practice of Dr. Christopher Blake Thomas, M.D.
01:08And I was a patient under Dr. Blake Thomas' care in 2019.
01:17To see everything that happened to me regarding my experience with this doctor and this medical practice,
01:24you can see my documentation at YouTube channel, My Medical Nightmare.
01:31Back in May 2022, I tried to contact this doctor whose name appeared on the top of medical records
01:44that I requested from American Family Care, and this was in regards to a misdiagnosed x-ray of my skull
01:57that I had done in 2019.
02:02Blake Thomas, M.D.'s name, appears here as supervising the nurse that facilitated the x-ray in the AFC clinic.
02:12This is Kimberly Kelly, and he should have also been checking over the work of radiologist Dr. Anna Maria Echnik,
02:24M.D.D.A.B.R.,
02:26which the x-ray was outsourced to through Xperity.
02:31You call the phone number under this doctor's name on the radiologist report.
02:38It leads to Xperity.
02:40This doctor and subsequently the nurse told me I had no injuries appear in this x-ray.
02:49I'll put the actual images in this video so you can see the truth regarding this matter.
02:57I have around a 3-inch in diameter translucent oval here.
03:03This is visible in a standard x-ray.
03:06No contrast was used in this scan.
03:10Subsequently, I discovered in further MRI and CT that I had broken the underside of my skull.
03:18And the translucent oval that you can see in the AFC and Xperity x-ray,
03:23this shows up as infection surrounding the main wound.
03:29I tried to contact this doctor to get this x-ray scan looked at again because I paid $175 for
03:39this visit
03:39and I got a misdiagnosis here.
03:43This is not helpful if you're a medical patient seeking treatment with doctors and nurses,
03:54in this case licensed in the state of Alabama.
03:57I found that this doctor was located at the American Family Care Clinic in Caba Village off Highway 280 in
04:08Birmingham.
04:08I tried to call this doctor's office.
04:13It was then that I found out by talking to the receptionist,
04:18Every individual that worked in this location that I spoke with,
04:25they used a nickname, a false name, or a pseudonym.
04:31In trying to reach Dr. Blake Thomas, MD,
04:36I was put in touch with an individual who identified himself as the office manager of this clinic,
04:45and he went by the name Sadler, S-A-D-D-L-E-R.
04:51I later found out after my call with this office manager
04:57that I was in fact speaking with the state of Alabama licensed medical doctor,
05:06Christopher Blake Thomas, who I was trying to reach in the first place.
05:10So he gave a false name.
05:13And I found this out very simply.
05:15You can hear my recorded calls with this individual.
05:20And Dr. Blake Thomas gave a television interview with Birmingham, Alabama,
05:26TV station WVTM, channel 13.
05:30Listen to the two voices, and they are identical.
05:35I believe that a medical doctor identifying himself under a pseudonym is against the law in Alabama,
05:44and possibly other jurisdictions as well.
05:48This is a type of fraud.
05:51I'm not very happy about my experience dealing with this individual.
05:55Yeah, and trying to get that x-ray and the misdiagnosis looked at, again,
06:02the office manager, again, a false identity that this doctor was using.
06:09He told me that he could do nothing to help me fix this situation.
06:17No refund of my $175.
06:21He wouldn't go to the medical doctor or Xperity and have this situation looked at or reversed.
06:29He told me on the phone, you can hear this recorded,
06:32there's nothing he was going to be able to do to help me fix this situation.
06:36And this is real bad news because that injury that I had, I almost died from in 2019.
06:42This is totally unacceptable as a medical patient.
06:47AFC as well, I contacted.
06:49They would not help me with this situation.
06:52I talked to Xperity.
06:54They would not help me fix this situation or correct this.
06:57And basically, I was ripped off as a customer and a medical patient.
07:02I went to the Alabama Board of Medical Examiners.
07:07And filed complaints in this situation.
07:10They would do nothing to help me with their oversight.
07:14Totally useless.
07:16They're lazy.
07:16If you're a doctor out there and you're interested in taking this job,
07:21please bear in mind my story.
07:23Bear in mind that you may have to use a fake name when you talk to the public and patients.
07:29And this is unacceptable.
07:31No doctor worth their salt should work for this place.
07:33No person seeking medical treatment should go to a place with doctors who are using fake names.
07:39I mean, this is totally ridiculous.
07:432023.
07:45United States of America and this stuff's going on.
07:48People have got to stand up to this nonsense.
07:51People have got to stand up to this nonsense.
