Garbage Excuse or Planned Escape? Bengaluru Woman Vanishes After Allegedly Sedating Family

Bengaluru: A woman has allegedly eloped with her lover after reportedly sedating her husband and children in a late-night incident under the jurisdiction of Bagalagunte Police Station.

According to a complaint filed by her husband, Sharath Kumar, his wife Priyanka left their house around 11:57 pm, claiming she was going out to dispose of garbage, but never returned.

Sharath Kumar has alleged that Priyanka mixed sleeping pills into the food served to him and their two children before leaving. However, police said this claim is yet to be medically confirmed.

CCTV footage from the area reportedly shows Priyanka walking out of the house carrying a garbage bucket in one hand and a bag in the other.

Police sources said Priyanka had recently come into contact with a man identified as Prabhu, who runs a cutting shop in the locality. The acquaintance is believed to have developed into a relationship, with the two allegedly meeting when Sharath Kumar was at work.

The husband further stated that he had earlier confronted Priyanka after noticing that Prabhu was recharging her mobile phone and allegedly providing financial support, which had led to disputes between the couple.

He suspects that Priyanka may have willingly left with Prabhu. After failing to trace her, he approached the police and filed a complaint.

A case has been registered, and police are examining CCTV footage and other evidence to trace the woman and verify the allegations, including the possible involvement of the suspected acquaintance.
