“CCTV Exposes Daylight Heist!” Masked Trio Loot ₹1.08 Lakh After Holding Woman Hostage in Jalandhar

Jalandhar: In a daring daylight robbery, three masked miscreants looted ₹1.08 lakh from a travel agency in the Harnamdaspura area under Police Station No. 2 limits. The incident took place at the ‘West End Western Union Tour and Travel’ shop and was captured on CCTV.

According to police, one of the accused, wearing a black shirt and covering his face with a handkerchief, first entered the shop on the pretext of enquiring about tickets. Shortly after, his accomplice entered, while a third accused stood guard outside on an Activa scooter.

CCTV footage shows that when the female employee got busy on a phone call, one of the accused suddenly grabbed her from behind and covered her mouth. The duo then took cash amounting to ₹1.08 lakh from the safe and fled the spot.

Investigations revealed that the accused had conducted a recce of the shop earlier in the afternoon and executed the robbery at around 6:22 PM.

Acting on CCTV evidence, police arrested one of the accused, identified as Gurdeep, a resident of the West constituency. The operation, led by ACP Ajay Singh, is ongoing, and raids are being conducted to apprehend the remaining accused.
