00:00In Lasudia, in Daur, five police officers, including an SI, have been suspended after
00:05serious allegations by a local businessman.
00:07Gaurav Jain claims that on 1st April, police entered his house while executing a warrant.
00:13But what happened next is deeply controversial.
00:17He alleges the officers switched off CCTV cameras, used a master key to open locks and
00:22conducted a search, after which 22 tholas of gold went missing.
00:26Gaurav further claims he was detained overnight at the police station, then taken to Gwalior
00:31in a private car and even held in a private guesthouse, where he says he was assaulted
00:35by associates of a retired ACP.
00:38The allegations don't stop there.
00:40He says $27,000 was taken from him, partly via QR payment and partly transferred to a
00:45personal account.
00:46After submitting a complaint, along with recordings to senior officials on 16th April, an inquiry
00:52found evidence leading to suspension of five officers.
00:55But Gaurav says suspension is not enough.
00:58If an FIR isn't filed, I will approach the DGP and Chief Minister, he warned.
01:03Meanwhile, SI Sanjay Vishnoy has denied all charges, calling the complainant a conspirator
01:08and insisting the action was lawful.
01:11The controversy traces back to a 65 lakh financial dispute involving a retired ACP and his associates.
01:18Legal experts say while police can execute warrants, tampering with property or mistreating
01:23families is strictly illegal and must be documented properly.
01:27Was this a lawful police operation or a serious abuse of power?
01:32The investigation may reveal the truth, but questions remain.
