A major controversy has emerged in Indore’s Lasudia area, where five police personnel, including a Sub-Inspector, have been suspended following serious allegations by businessman Gaurav Jain.

According to the complaint, the officers allegedly entered Jain’s house on April 1 without due procedure while executing a warrant in a property dispute. Jain claimed the police switched off CCTV cameras, used a master key to access the premises, and conducted a search during which over 22 tolas of gold went missing.

He further alleged that he was detained at Lasudia police station overnight and later taken to Gwalior in a private vehicle. Instead of being kept in official custody, he claimed he was held in a private guest house on April 3, where he was allegedly assaulted by associates of a retired ACP linked to the case.

Jain also accused a policeman, Rakesh Sharma, of taking ₹27,000 through digital transactions. He submitted a formal complaint with audio evidence to senior officials on April 16. Following an inquiry by ACP Parag Saini, the allegations were reportedly substantiated, leading to the suspension of five officers.

One of the accused officers, SI Sanjay Vishnoi, has denied the charges, claiming the action was conducted lawfully and accusing the complainant of conspiracy.

The dispute is reportedly linked to financial dealings between Jain and a retired ACP, involving loan transactions and bounced cheques. The businessman has demanded an FIR, stating that suspension alone is insufficient, and warned of escalating the matter to higher authorities.

Further investigation is underway.
