00:13as he is heading out to sacramento bryce eldridge will not start the season with the big club that
00:22would suck if it's a bus from scottsdale to sacramento that would be pretty spiteful
00:26the the uh proverbial bus proverbial but i get it yeah i'm not surprised i actually think it's the
00:32right move i do too take a little pressure off him and that way he can go down there and
00:36play
00:37some first base and force his way back isn't that what they always say like go down there and force
00:42us to to recall you absolutely hit nine home runs in the first month and have an ops of a
00:46thousand
00:47and then we can't help but bring you back well and and as you even pointed out it also allows
00:51him to
00:52play first base every day they're interested in him playing some defense and the only way you can
00:56do that is to get more reps and all of that so look there's no two ways about it it's
01:01disappointing
01:01from the fan perspective with regard to the excitement that has been built around this player
01:07but he's 20 21 years old he's a pup every single scout that all of us have talked to have

01:14there's very very little doubt in their mind that this is going to be an impact bat at the major
01:20league level but there's two things to say here one of them is there's just no freaking rush
01:25um there there's absolutely no rush on that and you and you don't um you don't want to sort of
01:33stunt whatever's going on by forcing him onto the big club for popularity or pr reasons this is the
01:40beginning of the year the giants have a pretty hard schedule out of the gate they would like to get

01:45to a good start and so yeah you're not going to put somebody there at six or seventh in the
01:50lineup
01:51that's going to strike out 50 of the time and if he if you have him up here and he
01:55struggles and
01:56maybe he takes the struggles into the field when he plays first base at all but he comes out in

02:02first 10 games he is four for 39 with no home runs and three doubles well now you're either going
02:08to
02:08sit him or ship him and now he's got that scar tissue i'm not saying it's going to permanently scar

02:14but that's not the way you want his year to start if he goes to sacramento and he struggles well

02:20in sacramento figure it out kid and when you figure it out then you can come on back it's not

02:25you're not going to send him to sacramento when he goes four for 39 and then you're going to ship

04:58is going to pitch right um but uh yeah all of that unconfirmed but and then you've got you take

05:05river cats on sunday yep so so bryce edgers would play in that game right and i guess that game

05:11be in sacramento i'm assuming yeah no they they leave camp on uh on saturday after the game that's
05:18twice a day game in 105 degrees right and odd to see no baybridge preseason series even though there
05:26is no baybridge series anymore right who's gonna get that hunk of concrete you know shout out brody

05:40the minors get a little more seasoning and obviously continue to play first base every single day
