Transcript
00:00hello there welcome to your Wednesday evening weather update from the Met
00:04Office
00:04now things are settled through the next few days some good spells of sunshine
00:09coming through
00:10we saw some high temperatures today the warmest day of the week
00:13and temperatures are now fading away under clearer skies particularly
00:17across Northern Ireland England and Wales but notice here
00:21this is a weak weather front it's been with us for the last few days
00:25producing a little bit of patchy rain so some rain can't be ruled out
00:29Aberdeenshire Angus perhaps even the central belt coming and going towards
00:34the north though yes some clearer skies as we head through into the early hours of
00:37Thursday morning but there were a breeze down towards the west country hopping
00:41over the moors it could be a bit blustery here inland though expect some mist and
00:46fog patches forming temperatures then dipping down low single figures and there
00:51will be some frost around particularly in prone frosty spots and towards the north
00:55of Scotland as well so a chilly start to the day come Thursday morning
00:58yet again we see that area of cloud and some rain just running along it again it's
01:05going to be mostly patchy fading through the afternoon and for most it's a fine day
01:10it's a dry one with some fine weather coming through temperatures perhaps not as high
01:15across England and Wales coming in around 16 degrees Celsius under the cloud
01:20probably only 11 but for Northern Ireland 13 or 14 here with a gentle wind for even the north of
01:27Scotland you should see some
01:28brighter skies to end the day that weather front there will tend to break up as we head
01:33through Thursday night and into Friday
01:35the cloud will come and go across Scotland northeast England as well for the south
01:40and west some clearer skies and yet again a bit of a breeze down towards Cornwall and
01:44Devon even Kent as well as Essex for most though it's a quiet start to Friday
01:50again with some mist and fog which could be a bit slow to clear through the early hours of
01:55Friday morning so if you're driving first thing you may run into some poor visibility temperatures
02:01will be lower as well so it's going to be a cold night with a frost across many areas into
02:07a Friday
02:08morning particularly in the countryside in shelter so first thing then on Friday well we start the day
02:15chilly but bright with some sunshine that frost lifts any fog tending to fade away and burn off
02:21for most it's a fine day with sunny spells feeling warmer across places such as Northern Ireland as
02:27well as the central belt of Scotland Eastern Scotland through the afternoon 16 will be your
02:31high we could just squeeze a 17 somewhere but notice a bit more cloud just edging in across the north
02:37and the west of Scotland with quite a breeze here so temperatures under the cloud probably 10 or 11 degrees
02:44Celsius but generally speaking it's a pleasant day to be out about so here's that high pressure I've
02:49been talking about that weak weather front just it fades away as we see another one edging into the
02:55northwest of Scotland into Saturday but Saturday should be a fine day after a chilly start with
03:00some sunshine however into Sunday notice this an area of cloud and rain moves in the air is colder
03:07behind it was a rash of showers to follow but we hang on to that fine weather across more central
03:13and
03:13southern area so all in all there will be a change on its way coming in mostly towards the beginning
03:18of
03:19next week have a lovely day bye bye
