00:04Now the weather is slowly turning more unsettled, but also warmer and more humid coming in from the south this
00:10time.
00:11We have high pressure sitting towards Scandinavia, squeeze on the isobars, some fresh winds particularly across the northeast,
00:17and then we have this low pressure just swirling around and developing these bands of showery rain pushing ever northwards.
00:24Sporadic in nature, weakening as they push northwards, but there could be some high rainfall totals through the latter part
00:31of the week.
00:32For the time being, it's fairly quiet outside, still a brisk breeze along the eastern side of the country.
00:38Notice a few showers just gathering though towards the southwest of England.
00:42There'll be medium to high base showers, but you could catch a downpour here.
00:46Elsewhere, it's dry apart from one or two light showers just waiting towards the east there.
00:52They could drift along the east coast, clearer skies towards the northwest.
00:56Now temperatures won't be as low as last night, so I think lowest temperature is probably the glens of Scotland,
01:03six to eight degrees Celsius, a milder night across England and Wales.
01:07And again, a few showers to start the day towards the southwest.
01:11Elsewhere, a fine start with some sunshine, the cloud coming and going,
01:15but we could see a little bit more cloud across central southern parts of Scotland, northern England,
01:18and one or two light showers here.
01:19Some sunshine further south, the far northwest as well, turning warmer than today.
01:24We could see temperatures into the 2026 mark, but these showers will continue just to drift very slowly northwards.
01:31They'll be fairly scattered, but the odd heavier one can't be ruled out as we head into Tuesday evening and
01:37overnight.
01:38Here are your temperatures by day.
01:3920 for Northern Ireland, 19 or 20 for the central belt of Scotland.
01:44England and Wales seeing temperatures comfortably into the 20s,
01:46away from the northeast coast there, and we could see a 26 for the home counties, 25 for southern parts
01:52of Wales.
01:53So through Tuesday evening and overnight, just again, we do have this brisk breeze,
01:57which will be fresh at times along the northeastern coastline.
02:00Here's that showery rain pushing gradually northwards.
02:04You could see a little rain across Northern Ireland, some just moving in across Wales, the Midlands,
02:08and notice towards the south, some bright echoes representing some heavier downpours,
02:14and they're just grazing the south coast into the early hours of Wednesday morning.
02:18Now, Wednesday morning dawns on a warmer note.
02:22Across most parts, temperatures will hold in the mid-teens across much of England and Wales,
02:27as well as Northern Ireland, and 12 to 14 across Scotland.
02:31Yet still, we do have that easterly wind along the east coast,
02:35a lighter breeze across central southern areas.
02:38Into the first part of the day, we pick up on this weather front here,
02:41bringing cloud and a little sherry rain, which could turn heavier through the early hours of the morning,
02:47gaining the risk of thunder here, as well as towards the south.
02:49Sporadic bursts of fungry rain, just pushing northwards as we head through Wednesday morning and into lunchtime.
02:57A few showers could develop in situ across Northern England, as well as Southern Scotland.
03:02They'll be fairly scattered, and there will be some drier spells around,
03:07some sunshine, warm sunshine at that, drier skies across much of Scotland.
03:12Although a few showers perhaps just clipping the far west of Scotland,
03:15and again, some sherry rain for Northern Ireland.
03:18Through the morning, into the afternoon, again, this weather front very slowly moving northwards,
03:24but it is going to feel warm in that brighter weather.
03:27Temperatures 25, 26 degrees Celsius across central southern England and Wales,
03:31as further showers blossom in the south.
03:34For Scotland, we could see a 22 for the Central Belt, Western Scotland as well.
03:382021 for Northern Ireland, and sherry rain tending to peter out as it pushes northwards.
03:44However, that's not the end of the story.
03:46As we head through Thursday as well as Friday, further spells of thundery rain moving from the south,
03:52migrating northwards.
03:53Some heavy downpours are likely some high rainfall totals possible.
03:57The driest weather is possibly going to be western parts of Scotland, and it will feel warm.
04:02Temperatures easing a little bit as we head through into the weekend.
