00:05Bit of a chilly start this morning, but it's all changed over the next few days as initially
00:09the Atlantic weather systems bring some milder air across the UK and then as we head towards
00:14the middle of the week, high pressure starts to build across the UK and we see temperatures
00:19rising well above average for the time of year.
00:22More on that in a moment.
00:23But this morning, a bit of a chilly start.
00:25There are showers around, particularly across the north of the UK.
00:28These falling as snow for a time across the Scottish mountains.
00:32But as we head through the day, the sunshine will be replaced by largely cloudy skies and
00:37a band of rain will slowly push its way eastwards across much of the country.
00:41The rain could be heavy at times across the hills of northern England, western Scotland,
00:45but there will be some places that stay dry, particularly southern counties of England.
00:50They're rather cloudy, there could be some bright spells that develop at times.
00:54The wind's coming in from a southwesterly direction, not as strong as Sunday, but still
00:59blustery around some western coasts, but temperatures for most rising towards double figures.
01:04Highs between 12 and 14 degrees in the best of any sunny spells across southern England.
01:10The vast majority of us between 9 and 11 degrees.
01:13The rain clearing into the North Sea through Monday evening, but then we're in a broad warm
01:18sector set up as we head overnight.
01:20So a lot of cloud around, southerly winds, outbreaks of rain and drizzle, particularly
01:24in the west and over the hills.
01:26Some hill fog too.
01:27But all that combined with southerly winds will keep temperatures up much higher than recent
01:33nights.
01:33Most of us having a frost-free night to come.
01:37And in Tuesday morning, even though it will be a mild start, it does mean a cloudy one for
01:42most of us.
01:42Outbreaks of rain and drizzle continuing across western parts.
01:45Heavier rain moving into Northern Ireland, western Scotland as we move through the day.
01:50But the clouds should start to lift and break, particularly across central and southeastern
01:55parts of England, allowing sunshine to develop.
01:58And here is where we'll see those temperatures lift.

02:03But the wind's coming in from the south, all of us in double figures.
02:07And then as we head into Wednesday and we start to see that high pressure building, even
02:13though it may be a bit of a grey start, some mist and fog patches, the sun will soon come
02:17out and the vast majority of us will have a dry day.
02:20There may just be some thicker cloud across parts of Northern Ireland into southern Scotland,
02:24northern England.
02:25But for most of us, particularly in the south, temperatures are well above average, reaching
02:29close to 20 Celsius towards London.
02:32Generally a little cooler for parts of Northern Ireland and Scotland, but largely dry here with
02:37some sunny spells too.
02:38And in that sunshine across England and Wales, UV levels also rising up to the moderate category,
02:44so around three on the scale there.
02:46So if you are out in the sunshine on Wednesday, you may want to put on some sun cream as
02:51well.
