Holi Visit Turns Deadly: Ex-Google Engineer Stabs Twin Sister 40+ Times in Moradabad, Attacks Mother

A shocking murder case has surfaced from Moradabad in Uttar Pradesh, where a 25-year-old engineer allegedly stabbed his twin sister to death and attacked his mother while visiting home for Holi.

The accused, Hardik (25), had previously worked at Google but left his job about a year ago to become a YouTuber. His twin sister Himshikha (25) worked as an assistant manager at an IT company in Gurugram and was also pursuing an MBA.

According to police, the siblings had come to Moradabad on March 3 to celebrate Holi with their mother Neelima, who lives in Buddhi Vihar Sector-2 under the jurisdiction of Majhola Police Station.

Police said that on Friday, before their planned return to Haryana, an argument broke out between the siblings. In a fit of rage, Hardik allegedly stabbed Himshikha more than 40 times on the neck, face and body, killing her on the spot. He then wrapped the body in a blanket and locked the house gate from outside.

As per the injured mother’s statement, Hardik later brought her home from her office on the pretext of leaving for Haryana urgently. When Neelima saw her daughter’s body wrapped in a blanket in the courtyard, she began screaming, after which Hardik allegedly attacked her with a knife.

Hearing the commotion, neighbours rushed to the spot while the accused fled in a car before police arrived.

Both victims were taken to the district hospital, where doctors declared Himshikha dead. Neelima is currently undergoing treatment.

Investigators said Hardik was reportedly in a relationship with a girl from another community and wanted to marry her, but his mother and sister opposed it. Police believe the dispute may have triggered the attack.

Superintendent of Police (City) Kumar Ranvijay Singh said the accused initially fled towards Delhi. After checking CCTV footage and alerting nearby districts and toll checkpoints, police later arrested him and sent him to jail. Further interrogation is underway.

The brutal incident has shocked residents of the Buddhi Vihar area.
