A speeding truck was seen dragging a car for nearly 1.5 kilometres after ramming into it on the Dabra–Gwalior highway on Sunday morning. Fortunately, no casualties were reported.

The incident took place near Bajhera village, outside the Tekanpur limits. According to sources, truck number RJ 11 GC 2456 collided with a Tata Nexon (MP07-ZG-9779). Following the impact, the car became lodged in the front portion of the truck.

Instead of stopping, the truck driver allegedly continued driving, dragging the car up to the area near Defence Park. The entire episode was captured on video and has since gone viral on social media.

Three persons were travelling in the car, including an officer of the Special Armed Force (SAF). They were reportedly returning from Orchha. Despite the shocking nature of the incident, all occupants escaped without serious injuries.

Eyewitnesses said the car occupants kept shouting and banging on the truck, urging the driver to stop, but he did not respond. A local resident, Sebu Gurjar, chased the truck on his motorcycle and repeatedly signalled the driver to halt. Other passersby also attempted to stop the vehicle.

After dragging the car for around 1.5 kilometres, the driver allegedly pushed it towards a roadside ditch and attempted to flee. However, locals intercepted the truck in the Bilaua area. The driver was reportedly assaulted by angry bystanders before police arrived at the scene.

Station House Officer Geetesh Sharma of Antri Police Station said that no formal complaint has been received so far. “If someone lodges a complaint, a case will be registered,” he said. The truck has been seized for further investigation.
