Holi Horror in Ambedkar Nagar: Wife Beats Retired Railway Employee to Death With Stick After Money Dispute

A 75-year-old retired railway employee was allegedly beaten to death by his wife following a dispute over money for alcohol in Ambedkar Nagar district of Uttar Pradesh, police said.

The incident took place on Wednesday evening in Mohsinpur Mansoorpur village under the jurisdiction of Akbarpur Police Station. The victim, Hausila Prasad (75), lived with his wife Sangeeta and had retired from the railways.

According to police, both husband and wife had consumed alcohol during Holi celebrations. Around 6 pm, Sangeeta allegedly asked her husband for money to buy more alcohol. When he refused, an argument broke out between the two.

The dispute escalated when the woman allegedly threw her husband to the ground and began beating him repeatedly with a stick. Despite his cries for help, she continued the assault, causing severe injuries.

Hausila Prasad’s condition worsened due to the beating, and he died shortly afterwards.

Some people present at the scene reportedly recorded the incident on their phones. After receiving information from neighbours, police reached the spot, took the body into custody and sent it for postmortem examination.

Police have arrested the accused woman and started questioning her.

Srinivas Pandey, the station in-charge of Akbarpur police station, confirmed the incident and said the woman has been taken into custody and further investigation is underway.
