A Nigerian national allegedly assaulted a delivery boy at Samriddhi Grand Avenue Housing Society in the Bisrakh police station area of Greater Noida West following a dispute over payment.

According to reports, the accused, identified as Ismail Manzoor, had ordered goods online late in the evening. When the delivery executive sought payment, an argument reportedly broke out, after which the accused allegedly assaulted him. Residents who intervened were also allegedly abused, leading to tension within the society premises.

Following the incident, residents staged a protest and informed the Bisrakh Police Station. A video of the protest has surfaced on social media, showing residents confronting the accused, while some other foreign nationals accompanying him were seen attempting to pacify the situation.

Residents alleged that the tenant had been living in the society for nearly a year and had been involved in previous incidents of misconduct. They further claimed that the flat owner had rented the apartment without informing the society’s maintenance team. Some residents also alleged that the tenant initially obtained the flat under the pretext of being a cancer patient and later moved in with family members. Complaints were also raised regarding smoking in public areas in violation of society rules.

Bisrakh police station in-charge Krishna Gopal Sharma said that police reached the spot after receiving information and brought the situation under control. He stated that the foreign national had arrived in India on a medical visa and had rented a doctor’s flat. The dispute reportedly arose over payment for the delivery.

Police said they have spoken to the flat owner and directed him to ensure the tenant vacates the premises. Further inquiry into the matter is underway.
