00:00So let's get started. Our top story today, something that we feared could potentially
00:04happen, and it has, Kalshi banning and fining two insider traders. How about this? Enforcement
00:11on individuals accused of insider trading, their identities not disclosed, although details of
00:18the incident reveal the identity of one of the two, Kyle Langford, never heard of him,
00:24who was previously running for California governor and currently running for Congress. In May,
00:30he posted on social media that he had wagered $100 on himself to be the next California governor.
00:38Now, Kalshi's surveillance department noticed that post, froze his account,
00:41and launched an investigation. According to a statement, Kalshi attorney who serves as headed
00:46enforcement took a closer look. Needless to say, this is the kind of stuff that if it's not regulated,
00:52you're only doing your own internal investigation. Who knows what's going on all across the country,
00:57but prediction markets, of course, the big focus of our show with everything happening in that
01:02landscape. Meanwhile, how about this? Cincinnati Bearcats trying to get back some cash. They're
01:08suing former quarterback Brendan Sorsby in federal court, saying that he breached his NIL contract
01:14with the club when he refused to pay a $1 million exit fee because he transferred Texas Tech, one of
01:22the better quarterbacks in the country, signing an NIL agreement with the Red Raiders that will now
01:27pay him between $4 and $6 million this season. And could we have an unprecedented move? A school
01:32paying another school to let their kid leave and go to theirs? Wow. NIL, wild, wild west.
01:38Okay, college basketball last night. This was supposed to be the game of the night.
01:41And quite frankly, it was not even close. UConn beat St. John's 72 to 40. Best win of the season,
01:48probably for Connecticut, and worst loss of the season for St. John's. St. John's missed their
01:53last 24 shots in the game. That's a long time. Here's Dan Hurley on picking up this signature win
02:01and obviously a pretty disgusted.
02:07Just, you know, obviously one of our better performances of the year. You know, outside of
02:12miss it, a lot of, you know, a lot of good looks at three. You know, there's not a whole
02:18lot for me
02:19to complain about. Just with the performance, I think, just a lot of soul searching by the group
02:26during that stretch that started at MSG where our defense kind of tanked. And then, you know,
02:32I think you saw today, it's capabilities when we're dialed in.
02:36It's all on me. I'm very disappointed in our performance offensively, especially,
02:41of sharing the ball, moving the ball. So it's all on me. But we'll get ready for Villanova.
02:49We're still playing for a league championship. It doesn't matter whether you lose by one or 40.
02:54The league championship is still at stake. Obviously, we're going to make our corrections to move on.
02:59Pick up call there for the Johnnies. We'll see. Meanwhile, Arkansas is playing some great
03:03basketball this season under John Calipari. They've won five of their last six games after
03:08beating Texas A&M last night, 99-84, covering that seven and a half point spread pretty easily.
03:12Darius Acuff had 22 points in the game and they took care of the basketball. As Coach Cal said,
03:18that was the key to the win. You know, to have only nine turnovers in a game that's played the
03:24way
03:24that game was played, it's kind of amazing. To take what they gave us and then pull out
03:31when you haven't played a game like that against a team like that was pretty impressive.
03:37How we played down the stretch, what Darius did, what the other guys did, playing through him,
03:43pretty amazing. DJ Wagner, woo, and he'll only get better. Billy Richmond, woo.
03:53Malik Thomas, the biggest player of the game in my mind was that rebound he grabbed with two hands
03:58because they were making a little run. And he went and got that ball. And then we ended up scoring.
04:04Huge play. And then he comes down the stretch and he makes shots.
04:09Somebody just told me Darius was one for 12 in the first half. Probably should have subbed him out
04:14and sat him. Um, but I gave him a break, but I didn't. Look, I'm just watching guys and I
04:21just
04:21want confident guys that you're confident when you shoot it, you're shooting it confidently.
04:28Still a plus press conference, which how Braden Prager scored 21 points. Nebraska beats Maryland 74 to 61.
04:37They were 16 and a half point favorites. So naturally they didn't cover that spread.
04:41The Huskers are having a great season. Another 24 and four on the year and 13 and four in the
04:46big 10.
04:47Fred Hoiberg talked about how valuable staying in this game was early.
04:53I didn't like our body language. I talked about that in the huddle. We were down three and, you know,
04:58looking at their faces, it felt like we were down 20. So, you know, once we fixed that and started
05:03rebounding the ball, that got us out in transition. I told him he can't run if he can't get the
05:06ball.
05:07And once we did, that got us loose a little bit. They crashed everybody. And, um, you know,
05:12that Sam made a couple of big plays to, uh, keep a couple of balls alive. Um, you know, uh,
05:18he and Solomon Washington were going to after one and you don't beat Solomon Washington
05:22very often for loose ball. But, you know, that was a huge play that, uh, that Sam got, uh,
05:26Braden to dunk on and got the crowd into it. Our crowd was phenomenal, uh, all game long,
05:31uh, keeping us in these six o'clock games are tricky. You know, you got people coming from work.
05:34They maybe don't get out to the bars like they do before the eight o'clock game, but it was
05:39a,
05:39uh, it's a good win for us. I was proud of how they responded. We changed up our defense
05:44and we haven't played a lot of that over the course of the year. They responded on the fly.
05:48We worked on it and shoot around today and, uh, and they adjusted well.
05:52Let's get to the Cleveland Cavaliers. Their run could be coming to an end depending on the outcome
05:57of this MRI for James Harden. He suffered a fracture in his right thumb during Tuesday's
06:03win over the Knicks. Further evaluations going on right now. The Bucks beat the Cavs by two last
06:09night, but will Harden suit up anytime soon? Remains to be seen. Meanwhile, the National
06:14Basketball Association, man, the Detroit Pistons just keep on winning. They beat the Thunder last night,
06:19even covered that spread, although it was close. 124 to 116. Detroit wins.
06:24Cade Cunningham, 29 points, 13 assists. The Thunder kept it close for the majority of this one,
06:30but Bernie or JB Bickerstaff, Bernie's his dad. JB Bickerstaff is happy they picked up the victory.
06:37I thought it was in and out, to be honest with you. Um, you know, there were some really good
06:42moments
06:43where we did the things that we needed to do. Um, and then there was times where, you know,
06:47I felt like we let them back in the game, but you know, again, our guys find a way, uh,
06:52and they do the
06:53right thing. Their hearts in the right place. They're trying to do the things we ask them to do. Um,
06:58so again,
06:58we'll watch the film and continue to move on.
07:00I mean, obviously really happy with the compete level, uh, and the resilience in the third quarter
07:07game got away from us a little bit and, uh, looked like it was going to be, uh, had the
07:12potential to
07:12be a runaway. The group to start the fourth quarter did a great job of getting that under 10
07:17and getting it in striking distance and bridging, um, to getting like Dort and Kaysen back out there,
07:24uh, when Cunningham came back. So really good job by the guys that went, uh, to gut that out.
07:29Obviously we've got the win in our face a little bit physically, but the guys have played tonight
07:33later on the line.
07:35Get to the latest in the NBA. And of course, Nikola Jokic played last night. So if you bet
07:40on that triple double, you hit it again, 30 points, 12 rebounds, six, 16 assists. That's
07:45the good news. Here's the bad news. The nuggets, uh, couldn't, I think when you look at it, couldn't
07:49ask for more from a player that has missed so much time and their record probably could be
07:53much better, but they win last night, 103 to 84 against the Boston Celtics. There were
07:59three and a half point favorites. Also the Rockets offense goes bananas. They took care
08:03of the Kings, 128 to 97. And naturally the Rockets are still fighting for position in
08:10the West, in the NBA. Uh, also, uh, from major league baseball, Giancarlo Stan of the New
08:16York Yankees still having trouble with those elbows. Yet again, the season, no word on when
08:20he will be back playing in spring training, but says he hopes to be healthy the entire season.
