The weekend is expected to get off to a spring like start, but temperatures will quickly plunge as we head into the second half of the weekend. Bernie Rayno has the forecast.

00:00Spring fever alert for Saturday, but don't get too comfortable.
00:05March roars in like a lion on Sunday, bringing January-like chills,
00:09and by Monday, we have snow and ice.
00:12Get out and enjoy Saturday, though.
00:14It's going to feel like mid to late March,
00:16but here comes a cold front as we get in the Saturday night.
00:19High pressure builds in behind it on Sunday.
00:22Northerly flow brings down the colder air temperatures 15 to 30 degrees lower Sunday
00:28compared to Saturday, and Monday's just downright cold.
00:32There's no easy way to say it.
00:33It's going to feel like early to mid-January.
00:36A couple of weak storms come in from the west-southwest, Monday into Tuesday.
00:41What does that bring?
00:42Snow and ice chances here.
00:44Now, the farther south you go, the better chance that ice turns over to rain.
00:48The farther north, the more likely the precipitation stays all snow and ice,
00:54slippery travel, and some travel delays throughout the northeast
00:58as we head into Monday and Tuesday.
