00:00March has been a wild temperature rollercoaster in the Northeast.
00:03Spring one day, winter the next, and now the month is set to end exactly the way it began,
00:09swinging between seasons in just a matter of hours.
00:14Take a look at New York City so far this month.
00:16These are the high temperatures, and they're color-coded.
00:19The blue below historical average, the orange above, the red is the record,
00:24the gray is where temperatures were right near the average.
00:27A lot of blue and a lot of orange right next to each other.
00:32That's the temperature swing.
00:34And here we go again.
00:36After temperatures feeling more like April Thursday afternoon for many,
00:40here comes our cold front Thursday night and Friday.
00:43The coldest air of this air mass is coming Friday night and Saturday.
00:48In fact, in Saturday across the Northeast and the Mid-Atlantic, we're going back to February.
00:54But right on cue, it's not going to last long.
00:57Big dip in the jet stream early next week means all of that warmth that's been in the Southwest
01:03is going to get pushed right back into the Northeast and the Mid-Atlantic.
01:07And by the time you go back to work on Monday,
01:11we're going to go from February on Saturday
01:15to mid-April by early next week.
