00:00In this tutorial, you learn how to add text to your model in Bamboo Studio.
00:09When a model is loaded, click on the Text Shape button here at the top.
00:14Let's first select another font by clicking on the current one.
00:18You can enter the name of a font to find it quicker.
00:26Now expand the Advanced menu.
00:30Here, you can change the Boldness manually.
00:32You can use the cube to move to a top view.
00:36The angle should be minus 45 degrees here, because the model was rotated the same amount of degrees.
00:47Skew can also be changed, set it to 0 to reset it.
00:52You can also click on the Bold button instead of changing it manually.
00:56Next to this is the button to make text italic, and on the left you see the value of the text size.
01:07On top you can enter the text you want to print.
01:09Click on this arrow to reset text size.
01:14Let's make the text a bit smaller.
01:15All text parameters are good for now.
01:19Now select objects here on the left, there you see the object, but also the text you created.
01:35Select the text and you see it's still on the print bed.
01:39Click on the Move button and drag the text to the upside, but it will stick to the print bed forever.
01:52Select the object and also the text while holding the Ctrl key.
01:56Click right mouse button and choose Merge.
02:00Now the model and the text will be inside one assembly.
02:04Click on the Move button again.
02:07When you drag the text to the upside, it will stick to the right position.
02:13Click on the Text Shape button.
02:15Then a new text object will be created, which is what you don't want now.
02:19Click right mouse button on it and delete the text.
02:23Now select the text inside the assembly.
02:28And click on the Text Shape button again.
02:33Click on the yellow cube and hold the left mouse button.
02:37With this, you can stick text to a specific surface.
02:43Click on the horizontal surface to put the text there.
02:50Change the thickness to 1 mm.
03:00While the text is selected, click on the Move button.
03:04Let's put it above the surface of the model.
03:13Click on the Text Shape button and use the yellow cube to put it quickly on the surface again.
03:23Instead of printing text on a surface, you can also cut it out by selecting Cut instead
03:28of Part.
03:31Now text won't stick out of the model but will be printed inside it.
03:39Click on the Preview tab to see what this looks like.
03:48And here you go.
03:55Click on the Prepare tab.
03:58Select the text and click on the Text Shape button.
04:02Let's change it back to Part.
04:05And change the thickness to 0.5 mm.
04:12Click on the Preview tab again to see what this will look like.
04:16A few layers of text will be put on top of the model.
04:26Go back to the Prepare tab.
04:31Click right mouse button on the text and delete it.
04:35If you don't want the text to be gone, click on the Undo button here.
04:42You can also access the Text menu directly by clicking right mouse button on it and select
04:47Edit Text.
04:48Here you can change all text parameters again.
04:55Click right mouse button on the text again and select Center.
05:03Now the text is aligned with the model.
