00:00In this video you learn how to add height dependent print settings in Bamboo Studio.
00:10When you have loaded a model in Bamboo Studio, right click on it to see this menu.
00:16Then select Height Range Modifier.
00:23In the Objects tab you see a range has been added.
00:28Click on it to enter a specific height range.
00:36The height range is clearly defined by planes.
00:49Now let's have a look at some print settings for this range.
00:54You can find the most frequent ones here.
00:59First go to the Global tab to change the main settings.
01:04Change the print quality to the 0.2 mm standard profile.
01:08Go to the Objects tab to go back to the range settings.
01:11You see, the layer height is still set to 0.12 mm.
01:16It did not change along with the main settings.
01:19The range uses the first settings that were applied to this model.
01:22You see orange lock icons because this specific setting differs from the general settings.
01:27Click on it to align a setting with the Global settings, which are currently set to 0.2 mm.
01:34Now change the layer height to 0.1 mm, for example.
01:38The tabs with the change settings will also turn orange.
01:41And here you can align all range specified settings with the Global settings at once.
01:47Don't click it and go to the Preview tab instead.
01:52Change the color scheme to Layer Height.
01:55And you clearly see when the layer height is changing at the end of the range.
02:02This range was set from 0 to 75 mm.
02:12So after 75 mm, the layer height changes to 0.2 mm, the Global setting.
02:20Select the range and go to the Strength tab.
02:26Change the number of wall loops from 2 to 5.
02:29Click on Prepare and then on Preview.
02:35And you see it starts with 5 wall loops.
02:41But after the range ends, it switches back to the Global settings, which are 2 wall loops.
02:48Go to the Global tab and then to the Strength tab.
02:52And you see it's set to 2 wall loops.
02:54Go to the Objects tab and go to the Range settings.
02:58And you see it's set to 5 wall loops.
03:05Now increase the speed of the range in the Speed tab.
03:11Click on Prepare and then on Preview to show the updated model.
03:16Change the color scheme to Speed.
03:19And you see the speed inside the range of the first 75 mm is higher than the standard speed.
03:28Because the range settings were changed, an orange lock icon is visible next to the range.
03:34Click on the range to see which tabs are orange.
03:37Each orange tab has some change settings compared to the global ones.
03:41Click on this lock icon to reset all settings.
03:46Please subscribe if you like it, thanks.
03:48Click on Prepare and then on Preview.
03:54Now, all range settings are equal to the global settings.
04:01Click on Layers and then on the Plus button at the bottom to add another range.
04:08It will be placed on top of the first one.
04:12Change the top value to 85 mm.
04:17Click on the Prepare tab.
04:20And when you click on a range, the corresponding planes will be shown inside the 3D model.
04:26Select the second range and enter a layer height of 0.05 mm.
04:33Ignore the warning.
04:36Now select the first range and enter a layer height of 0.15 mm.
04:44So both layer heights are different than the global settings.
04:50Click on the Preview tab and change the color scheme to Layer Height.
04:57You see there are three different range settings now.
05:03Each one has a different layer height.
05:10To delete a range, click on it and press Delete.
05:17Or select all layers and press the minus button at the bottom.
