00:00Here we are. We go to Omaha, for example. The clouds are out there. Snow is going to begin here this afternoon, later on, and we're going to be dealing with a high-impact winter storm.
00:11Temps have been down in the teens. Look at this earlier this morning, 13 degrees in Watertown, even a little lower than that for the absolute low for the day.
00:19But overall, record, well, I should say we're going to be dealing with potential for a top five snowfall for the month of November.
00:26Probably not a record, but if we get six inches of snow in Chicago, we could get into the top five greatest November snowstorms in Chicago history.
00:35Winter storm warning is in effect. And again, right now, the snow is really restricted to the northern plains, but it's becoming a little more expansive.
00:44It's a warm front that's going to be producing some widespread light to moderate snow initially.
00:49But the snow picks up, moderate to heavy for a time, tomorrow, Saturday afternoon, Iowa, northern Illinois, southern Wisconsin.
00:58The deep blues on your screen there, that's where the snowfall rates will be heaviest.
01:01Indianapolis and points northward, we're going to be into it there. High-impact snow.
01:05Detroit will see a few inches as well. So let's take a look at the storm snapshot here for Saturday.
01:10There it is. Pretty widespread. Omaha all the way up into places like Michigan.
01:14And six to 12 inches of snow, likely from Des Moines into areas of central Michigan.
01:19Quick look at Chicago's five greatest November snowstorms in history.
01:24If we get to six inches, that would make the list.
01:27And a quick look at Detroit. Now, we're probably not going to touch these numbers.
01:30We're forecasting a bit less, but 9.2 inches is the record holder for November.
