The Chief Secretary has spoken to the Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar requesting full details on what is to be installed at the ANR Robinson International Airport.

The Prime Minister has said it is a radar system intended to enhance the country's surveillance capability.

00:27He emphasizes that while the central government under the law rightfully determines Trinidad and Tobago's foreign policy,
00:35the Tobago House of Assembly remains focused on safeguarding the island's stability.
00:41The Chief Secretary says he has since spoken to the Prime Minister
00:44and has requested full details on what is to be installed in Tobago.
00:50The Chief Secretary reveals that a formal meeting with relevant Cabinet ministers and agencies
00:56is being arranged regarding the purpose and the scope of the radar installation
01:01at the A&R Robinson International Airport and associated matters.
01:06He says once these updates have been provided,
01:10the Office of the Chief Secretary will update the public accordingly.
01:13The release states the Tobago House of Assembly remains committed to transparency
01:18and to keeping Tobagoians accurately informed, particularly at a time of heightened regional sensitivity.

01:32with all stakeholders, which includes upcoming diplomatic engagements
01:37with representatives of both Venezuela and the United States as previously scheduled.
