00:11they're not for defense, national defense, they're not performing.
00:15We're not seeing the kind of results, we're not seeing any kind of accountability
00:18and clearly there's a capacity issue there.
00:20The PNM senator said the prime minister must face reality.
00:25There's nothing wrong with admitting that, you know, you give something a try,
00:29or you give someone a try and it didn't work out and you've recognized that
00:32and now you're willing to make a change so that this thing could be addressed.
00:36She said the prime minister needs to address the nation
00:40and the National Security Council must meet as a matter of urgency.
00:44From the prime minister's leader of this country, we received a post via Facebook last night.
00:51She's failed to address the country, she's failed to face the media
00:54so that the media can ask the pertinent questions that all of us,
00:58the citizens really want answers to, so we're left in limbo at this point.
01:01I am really hoping that the National Security Council meets immediately.
01:05They should have met since yesterday, in my opinion.
01:08I'm hoping that they meet today and that the nation is properly addressed
01:14so that we can have some sort of comfort that this matter has been dealt with.
01:18As for the implementation of a curfew?
01:21I have heard the calls for a curfew.
01:24There might be merit in it, and this is why I'm calling for the National Security Council
01:28to meet immediately because they would have the intelligence
01:30and they would be in a better place to really kind of measure
01:33whether a curfew can help us at this point.
01:35What I do know is that even if we, and let me say this also take in account
01:40having a regard to the impact that it has on the various sectors,
01:43say a business community, person's ability to move around and all like that,
01:47we know that all those things are affected once you choose to implement a curfew.
01:51But I think at this point, the main thing that we're all concerned about
01:55is the crime situation.
