00:00Good morning. It is a milder start out there, but it is going to be a wetter and cloudier weekend wherever you are.
00:07We've got a weather front that's pushed in from the north and west, bringing some heavy outbreaks of rain to parts of Wales, northern England.
00:13That mixed with any snow melt could bring some issues on the roads.
00:17Now this rain band pushes into southeastern areas of England to start the afternoon, so it will be a very overcast and drizzly afternoon here.
00:24Elsewhere, though, a bit of a change to come to brighter skies. Still a few showers across northwestern areas of Scotland in particular, as well as parts of the southwest.
00:33But across the southwest, actually, temperatures climbing to 11 or 12 degrees and close to 10 degrees across parts of Northern Ireland as well as Scotland.
00:41So a very different feel, especially with the sunshine. The winds are relatively light, actually, through Saturday as well.
00:47It will remain damp, though, across the southeast through this evening, but by the beginning of the night, that rain should slowly start to clear.
00:54And as we head towards Sunday, we look towards this area of low pressure to the north of Northern Ireland that will bring spells of wet weather throughout the day.
01:03Now, ahead of that area of low pressure, some clearer skies across eastern areas of northern England as well as the far northeast of Scotland.
01:10And this could allow temperatures to fall just below freezing.
01:12So a touch of frost here, but elsewhere, with quite a lot of cloud around and the breeze starting to pick up across the southwest, we should stay frost free.
01:20As I said, spells of wet weather to come through Sunday.
01:24There will be some drier weather here and there, but I think most of us can expect a spell of wet weather.
01:29As you can see, there's some very bright colours in this rain band, so some heavy spells of rain.
01:33We could see some further snow as well falling over the highest ground of Scotland when that rain does arrive.
01:39And the winds are really starting to strengthen by the end of Sunday across the far southwest.
01:43We could see some gale force winds here.
01:46So 10 or 11 degrees across southwestern areas, closer to 6 or 7 degrees further north.
01:52And with lots of cloud and rain around, although it is milder than it has been this week, it's still not going to be feeling particularly pleasant with limited sunshine.
01:59How does that change as we head into the new week?
02:01Well, low pressure actually sticks with us, particularly across eastern areas of the country, bringing some further spells of wet weather at least through Monday.
02:08But high pressure starts to build in from the west by Tuesday, bringing us drier, but again, slightly colder weather.
