00:00Hello, very good day to you. There will be a glimmer of sunshine breaking through for a fair few of us, but not everywhere.
00:07Some places staying pretty grey, a fair amount of cloud around. There's low pressure to the west of us.
00:12It's not particularly deep, it's quite a flabby low, and then a few fronts across us as well, and these are bringing the focus for a bit more cloud and a bit of rain as well.
00:20Most places actually having a lot of dry weather through this afternoon, but like I say, a lot of cloud as well.
00:25Perhaps the best sunshine will be across parts of northeast Scotland, down the eastern side of England, likely to have some breaks here.
00:32Even elsewhere across some western parts, there will be some breaks in the cloud, but for many it is going to stay pretty grey, and it is going to be largely dry.
00:41But particularly across western areas, the cloud will bring some drizzly outbreaks of rain, perhaps a bit more than showing on the graphics behind me here.
00:47And actually across parts of Wales, we could see some showery outbreaks of rain pepping up, and some of them could be a bit heavy, potential for maybe 20 millimetres or so, maybe a little bit more in just a few hours, so it could be a bit wet indeed.
01:00Now, it is going to be a relatively mild day, despite the cloud. We have light winds, so feeling mild as well, with temperatures for many getting to, well, the mid-teens, perhaps even the high-teens for some places.
01:11So, temperatures well above average for the time of year.
01:14Then, as we go through into this evening, setting pretty great for many places. Further spots of rain here and there, across parts of the southeast as we go overnight.
01:23I am expecting a bit of rain to push its way in. That will arrive as we go through the early hours of tomorrow morning.
01:29And so, it is going to turn wet across parts of, yes, Sussex, Kent, and then pushing across parts of London and other areas of southeastern England as well.
01:38Elsewhere, a few spots of rain here and there, but most places staying generally dry. A few clear breaks, but not a huge amount of these.
01:45As a result, under that cloud, temperatures again, not dropping a huge amount, perhaps a slightly bit fresher than it was last night, particularly across some western areas.
01:54Slightly fresher air coming in here. Meanwhile, for many places, particularly your towns and cities, it is going to stay in double figures.
02:01Then, as we go through tomorrow, a bit of a wet start across parts of the southeast because of that rain that I mentioned earlier.
02:07That could pep up a little bit more as it pushes its way northwards up the eastern side of England, 20, 30 millimetres perhaps in a few hours across some parts here.
02:15And similar amounts of rain possible due to another frontal system that's coming in from the southwest to pushing across southwest England and into parts of Wales.
02:23That's not really welcome news for some parts of Wales where we have had a fair amount of rain recently and seen some impacts as a result.
02:30Away from those two zones of wetter weather, there will be a fair amount of dry and perhaps even bright or sunny weather to be had.
02:37Northern Scotland seeing some decent sunshine, north of Wales and into the Midlands seeing some sunshine through into the afternoon as well.
02:44But with that, it's worth bearing in mind that fresher air becoming a bit more widespread.
02:49And so, if anything, temperatures are going to be two, three degrees below today's temperatures,
02:54even though they are still going to be a bit above average for the time of year.
02:58Now, both the outbreaks of rain across eastern parts of England and that new frontal system across the southwest,
03:04they will both continue their progress northeastwards as we go through into the evening.
03:09Breaking up as they go, though, so a lot of dry weather around.
03:11Good news if you're heading out for any fireworks displays, there will be a lot of dry weather, not totally dry.
03:17By notice, across parts of Northern Ireland, there will be some outbreaks of rain as well.
03:20But it is going to be, again, pretty mild, albeit the breeze picking up just that little bit.
03:25Then as we go into this weekend, well, Saturday starts largely fine.
03:29Could be some mist, some fog around first thing, but actually a lot of dry weather.
03:32But then some rain in the far west does look set to push its way eastwards across the country as we go through the weekend.
03:40So most of us will see some rain at times.
03:43And worth bearing in mind, sunshine is going to be fairly limited.
03:46Meanwhile, temperatures, well, it is staying generally mild.
03:49But even with that, if you do get any clear breaks during the night, then they could turn a little bit chilly.
03:55Perhaps some colder nights than we've seen of late.
03:57For more details about what we can expect through this weekend, well, check out Aidan's forecast,
04:01which he will be bringing to you on our YouTube channel later on.
